I dont understand head
less bloodletting beast
I enter the area, get knocked around like a rag doll and die within seconds. I literally dont even have time to roll away
Don't roll away, roll toward his legs and run right through. Beat it on my second try doing this, also don't use lock on.

I just beat
Amygdala,
and neither lamp in this area returns me to the Hunter's Dream. The prompt shows up but nothing seems to happen when I press X.

Anyone know what's up with that?

Either you're being invaded or its going to take you to
secnd floor of lecture building to open up Nightmare of Mensis

You gotta be more aggressive and stay in close to it. Roll diagonally towards it, so you end up on its side. Doing that helped me out a lot.

Watchdog in Defiled Chalice is giving me hell. Didn't some kind gentleman post a video in this thread? I can't find it. :(

Any tips for Martyr Logarius. Fuck I just cant. Got him down to around 25% health and run out of vials. Any tips? Im also level 71. Every other boss i have beaten in 2-3 tries, but this kills me.

Endgame spoilers/question:
So I just started the final boss fight against the wheelchair guy, but remember hearing about the 1/3 of Umbilical Cord items. I never used these, and have only found two. Is it too late to do whatever they do, now that the fog door is active in Hunter's Dream?

Oh shit I didn't even look into staggering for this game yet :/ so it's bound to strength for this game?

The wheel has the most I've found.

Most important, backstab him when he's charging for phase 2. If you do you can still stagger and shoot him in phase 2. You can parry his sword swings, and even his dive attack. You can shoot his magic sword on the ground to destroy it

His melee attacks are able to be parried.. Stay in his face and pound away while tryng to parry. If he jputs sword into ground creatng that cloud of swords that shoot at you target the sweord in ground and they wont shoot anymore

You're destroying his sword that he spawns during his second form right?

In the second phase try to stagger his jump-charged attack and then use Visceral, break the sword with your firearm when he puts it on the ground. Use visceral boosting-recharging runes

You most likely missed the chance to get the other cords however if you didn't then I think as you use them before you kill Gherman.

Weird bug...I was in Hunter's Dream inside the workshop when I saw the "talk" option, but no one was there. When I selected it it was Gehrman, and the dialogue was him talking in his sleep about Laurence. Gehrman wasn't anywhere in the Dream at the time...

Yeah I had that happen to me once too. His dialogue was something vague about what I should be doing IIRC. I kinda freaked out at the invisible person talking to me. xD The talk option disappeared after that.

I really hate asking how to do things, BUT, any hint on where I bring the unopened summons?

Alfred
Edit: Sorry that's not a hint, but the solution. Here's a hint:
someone who may have mentioned the Vilebloods before...

Once my "options" buttons stopped working in the dream. After a while it got back to normal. Maybe was a pad issue.

Looking for a little help and a point in the right direction. I'm basically done with the first area; I've beaten the
Cleric Beast
and
Father Gascoigne.
I've made it past that troll
Gatling Gun
guy, and have explored some of that area, though I ended up buying the key for 10,000 souls from the merchant and went to explore that area instead.

I fought a ton of those creepy white faced dudes, of varying sizes, made it all the way up to the top area where two
cross wielding ones
protect some large door, but I have yet to go in, as I feel a boss may be in there. I also explored the area down the cliff to the right of that, fought a
CPU hunter? who wields an electric mace
, though I ran from his cohort. I made it further down the cliff, saw two
axe wielding semi-giants
, ran past them, and came to a big empty room with a center platform, and a door across from it. I attempted to open the door and was instead
picked up by a giant phantom and instantly killed.
I had 15k+ souls, but luckily I got most of them back.

Sorry for all the spoilers, but I don't really know what is frowned upon being mentioned, and I haven't been following this thread. Essentially what I want to know is:

1) What area should I be exploring right now?
Old Yarnham
or the
Cathedral area?
I assume the former

2) What should I be focusing on, build wise? I went with Lone Survivor, Saw Cleaver, and Blunderbuss. Right now I'm level 25 with the following:

VIT 22
END 15
STR 13
SKILL 11
BT 7
ARC 7

3) What's the deal with using blood gems to fortify your weapon? I've gathered a bunch so far, but I have yet to do anything to my Saw Cleaver outside of normal fortification (it's +3 right now). Are you able to unsocket the blood gems you put into a weapon, or are they there forever?

Any other tips would be much appreciated!

idk...if I stay close he stomps me or slams me, if i get far away he does his projectiles or does an extremely long slash. It doesnt feel like I am anywhere close to being fast enough to stay close to him(let alone stay under him)

Insight Max is 99 right? You just waste it if you gain any from there?

Also, anyone want to help me co-op Lower Pthymerian Labyrinth Layer Four? I'm level 95.

Holy crap, it's insane how much more annoying M
icolash is on high insight. Just a fucking game of hide and seek. Not for or challenging, just annoying. Finally spent a bunch of the insight I've been carrying through most of the game because of that. Which is kind of annoying. I like the concept of Insight, and liked playing with high insight, but not with bullshit like that.

Thank you so much! Sorry I died the first run. Those lasers are nasty

Grats. And, if you know the lasers are coming, for sets 1 & 2, lock on and just keeping tapping dodge while going left or right. For the final set, you need to wait a split sec then hit dodge. If you try to spam dodge through all 3 sets, the 3rd one will kill you every time.

And, while I am still at EB, going to help random people kill her.
Lower Pthymerian Labyrinth Layer Four

Password is uersqd8f will wait at the beginning lamp.

Thanks
Would love to help, but my chars are only lvl 60 & 75.

Your call what area you tackle next.
One is optional but gives you the gem workshop tool.
And yes you can switch gems in and out as you like.

There is even a new area with a new boss you could go right now.
Look around some more in cathedral ward.

For stats: depends on the weapon you want to use.
Check how it is scaling with strength and skill and then level those stats accordingly.

Arcane is only for, when you put a fire, a bolt or arcane gem in your weapon.
Bloodtinge for pistols.

bosses don't change because of insight.

Your welcome
cause when you pledge to her vilebloods it opens a nice set of gear the cain hurst set
To be honest, it was a bad hint.
Or no hint at all and a plainright spoiler.

He wanted a hint about whom to give the summon and you tell him everything.
