Atlus is bringing Dungeon Travelers 2: The Royal Library & the Monster Seal to PS Vita via retail and digital in North America this summer for $39.99/CA$49.99, the publisher announced.

The 2014 port of the 2013 PSP dungeon RPG, which was never released overseas, puts players in the role of Fried, an adventurer from the Royal Library, who forms a party of female warriors, mages, maids, and so on to combat the monsters that have started an uprising against humanity.

Each girl has one of five base classes, from which they can branch into more than 30 sub-classes. As you explore dungeons, you’ll be able to trigger sub-events that allow for further character development between Fried and the girls.

The North American version will have Japanese audio with English subtitles, and support for PlayStation TV.

OH GOD YESSSSSS

I'm really happy about this, Dungeon RPGs are niche as hell but they seem to be selling well enough in the west.

Parakeetman hyped me so much about this game, lol.

YEEEEEEE- oh Atlus...

Never mind. Not like I wanted this game anyway.

Edit: Wait no, I'm an idiot. This is a Vita game. I can import this. Yay at least, I shouldn't need to...

Cool. With the recent Atlus localizations of Aquaplus games there might even be a chance to see Utawarerumono 2 localized.
No word of an EU release is unfortunately not surprising...

OH MY GOD OH MY GOD HOLY SHIT YES, today we had a new console star ocean announced a new taiko game on a region free console and a localization of dungeon travelers 2.... i-is it christmas ^_^

Demon Gaze, Operation Abyss, Moero Chronicle and Dungeon Travelers 2. And I know someone who mentioned DT2 would never get localized.

Summer? Hopefully not too close to operation abyss or i'll have trouble choosing which to play.

Love that this is coming over though

Holy Shit what world am I living in right now. Well good discussion now is how they are going to handle the in battle chatter.

oh, it's a little girl game. Is the gameplay good?

Edit: lol, looking at that art the game would have to be really good.

Parakeet says this is a great DRPG but you have to be able to deal with Fanservice and lots of it.

NISA just announced it's coming to Euro, too.

I wish Atlus' would've just included it in the initial announcement -_-

Edit: Euro is this fall.

vita means drpg

and it's so good.

I wish they had the more western 'medieval' arms and armor aesthetic, but i'll take what i can get.

Summer and Fall is quite a gap. Well, a big enough gap for me to import it so then I don't get conflicted with EMD or DeSu2.

Have Atlus hired extra staff or something? They seem to be localizing at an extraordinary rate lately.

I did wonder if they were waiting for the original Dungeon Travelers before doing this one, but I guess not.

I'm usually not interested in DRPGs, but I do recall someone around here saying this is actually one of the best ones available. Might give it a look in that case.

So what are the best dungeon crawlers on the PSP/Vita? I've been wanting to get into them, but they all seem to have a lot of fan service so I'm a little wary of recommendations.

Another day, another vita exclusive.

Demon Gaze is the best one available right now, but it comes with a bit of fanservice. Nowhere near as much as people claim, but it's still there. Operation Abyss is coming out in two months and has a negligible amount of fanservice, if you can wait.

Yeah i heard good things about this title. Need a good drpg on the vita, also Atlus being unusual and giving us JP audio is nice, ill support that.
