Fucking... I'm really stuck in
Yahargul unseen village
. All of the enemies seem to have a lot of health, do a lot of damage, and there's so many of them that they tend to swarm you. I got to the bit where there's like a courtyard, overlooked by one of the
Eldrich spider things
but every time I try and get through it does like a
laser beam attack thing
. I don't know what to do because if I stay there to try and clear the area, it does that attack and while I'm waiting all of the enemies respawn - if I try and run through I get swarmed and it does that attack anyway.

so..... I have decided that I do not like frenzy. I think the "fill bar, if bar fills, take massive damage" is fine but the application in the game with certain enemies is pretty bullshit.

The frenzy seems practically unavoidable. kind of bullshit.

Just run.
Keep left.
Maybe wait a short moment for the laser to pass.
Lamp is right through that door.

I'm in the Nightmare of Mensis and need to have the game finished in 3-5 hours of game time. Is this at all possible? I know there's a few optional bosses but I have no intention of doing any chalice's or NG+ for a while.

So I'm in the Forbidden Woods and everything is going fine...then I run into the snakes...NOOOPE.

I wish I could skip the area all together.

If you equip the Ashen Hunter set with the bear mask, and one or two frenzy resist runes, the frenzy debuff is seriously slowed down, whatever the level of insight you're at. Just keep a few Sedatives at hand for security. The gear you're wearing can make a really significant difference on frenzy. Foo example, on my last playthrough I arrived at Mensis Nightmare with the choir set and I would get max frenzy in about 3 seconds tops (at 99 insight). After switching to Ashen set + a few runes (over 500 frenzy resist), even with 99 insight, it would take more than a minute of exposure to fill the frenzy bar. I was never close to being at risk, even with the brain dudes.

Whats the quickest bee line to the final boss?

From the start of NG?

Probably:

Do the jump glitch into the back yard of Iosefka's Clinic and take the shortcut to Forbidden Woods. Then kill Shadows of Yharnam, then Rom in Byrgenwyrth. Go through Unseen Village and then fight The One Reborn. After that, Nightmare of Mensis, where you fight Micolash and then Mergo's Wet Nurse. Then you can talk to Gehrman for an ending. So 5 bosses for the "bad" ending, 6 for "good ending"

NG+ since I consumed the you know whats before fighting the last boss

How many
cords
did you consume? If you didn't get the True Ending, I don't know if what you consumed carries over (I think if it's in your inventory it does?)

What I posted is probably the quickest way from the start, NG/NG+ doesn't matter. If you want the true ending, then
you'd need 2 cords (since Wet Nurse gives you one), so either do Ariana's sidequest, which means going to Cathedral Ward or send her to Iosefka's and kill Iosefka later. Then you'll need to go to Old Yharnam and kill BSB to gain access to the Church Hunter Workshop and go to the Abandoned Workshop at the bottom for the other cord.

If you want to do the optional bosses (highly recommended, all of them are as well done as the main ones), you have 10 bosses remaining (or as low as 8 depending on the ending).

There are also 15 bosses unique to the chalice dungeons, if you want to do them.

I'll be going through them all eventually. Just wanted to do base content before witcher was out. My friends getting a ps4 soon so I'll be saving most of the content for a coop run.

Yep, knew that was gonna be a Beast Roar.

NEVER climb a ladder or high elevator (unless closed in) when you have reds in your midst. Always counter trolling with more trolling and force them to do things your way.

Yeah I'd just sit on the ground and idle.

I've always been a PvE/co-op guy anyway. Only memorable PVP moment I have in Souls history is hosting a fightclub in Dark Souls 2 on the Iron Keep bridge. Pretty sure a Gaffer was involved as well. That must have happened a fair bit in DS2, as everyone played along and no one attacked me (red phantom vs red phantom) whilst I summoned.

I saw that all the time while doing PvP in DkS2. Esp in Iron Keep's Bridge & Heide's Tower of Flame. Always seemed like a lot of different people respected the rules of a PvP fightclub, even if they didn't know they were entering one. My favorite fight club was a time a blue guy invaded the host and us reds ganked him. lol.

With how things are set up in Bloodborne, prob not possible, or at least very very hard, to set up a tournament or fight club. A shame.

In that case you can finish the game after beating 3 bosses (bad ending), 4 bosses (normal ending), or 5 bosses (true ending).

Yup. Most likely as they were getting summoned instead of forcefully invading. That's just made me think there are no ways to summon in Bloodborne for PVP? :/ I definitely think the bells were a step back. Bring back summoning!

Anyone?

I thought there was a cap on strength at 50? I've just gone to 51 and it upped everything it should. Skill would have done the same.

Stats work this way:

1-25 you gain 50% of your bonus scaling
25-50 you gain 35% of your bonus scaling
50-99 you gain 15% of your bonus scaling

So you get the least amount damage increase anything above 50, but you still do increase. Believe that's the break down.

Swear to God, dis game.

Just beat watch dog from Defiled chalice. I ran out of health potions when he was around 1/3 HP, but kept my cool and manage to squeak out a win with probably 20 HP left. Hands shaking. No other game feels as good as this.

Though all in all, wasn't too bad of a fight. Beat him on my third try.

All of them. I mean I think I got the 'true' ending. I have 2 out of three endings.

Did you
fight an additional boss after Gehrman
? If yes, then you don't need to get
cords
in NG+ for that ending. If you're going for the ending where
you accept (first option given to you)
, then just do the critical path I lined out in my first response to you.

Ok so for the collect all weapons trophy and collect all tools, do you need to do that in 1 play through? or if I have most of the weapons on 1 character, and collect the others on another will that count?

Bloodborne is legitimately one of the best games Ive ever played, even though I wouldnt necessarily call it fun. Its the sort of emotion you get trying to solve one of those wooden puzzles as you poke an prod and a piece suddenly falls into place. I would just straight up call it the best puzzle game Ive ever played.

Tips for beating A
mygdala
? I'm having a hard time finding any openings to even get one swing in.

Fire works well and a weapon that hits wide is good. I used the cane/whil with great success. His arms and head are most vulnerable and I found my saw was just too precise and I'd keep missing. Standing directly under him is reasonably safe though he will leap up in the air and try to squish you so be ready to roll when that happens.

It has to be all on one character. It's possible to get them all in one playthrough, or you can go to NG+ for stuff you missed.

You have 2 more bosses left, 3 if you go with a certain end game decision.

If you feel your level is high enough to go through that area comfortably, you'd finish in 3 hours or so.

Thanks, I'm level 98 I think. I want the full ending as
I have gotten the Umbilicals already. I have already explored the top of the cathedral ward but didn't fight the boss. I hope I won't miss too much by skipping this and Cainhirst.

1-10 is 5% 11-25 gives the other 45,

I'm not clear on how scaling gems relate to the scaling values they found for weapons though.

If you equip an axe, extend it. Wait for her smash move where her hands and face are in ground then go and attack. I stayed at front and only hit her hands or face as only those do damage. Other thing is you can use knives/molotovs to attack her face. Does decent damage. Dont bother attacking legs as they do very little damage.

So I got 25 in Vit, End, Str, and Skill. Then 9 Bloodtinge, 8 Arcane.
Guess I'll get to 30 Vit and then more End.
Be able to swing the
greatsword
3 times then be able to dodge roll twice is nice.

What are you guys liking more at this point; more Endurance to swing a lot or HP to take hits?

HAHAHAHAH! That's fucking hilarious.

This Hand Lantern intel is devastating... it was my constant little buddy. Plenty of times I turned it on and didn't need it but just wanted a little light friend. You BETRAYED ME LANTERN.

And this.... Miyazaki, you evil bastard. I was so certain that my stamina regeneration had slowed down, but I couldn't see any likely causes for it and decided that it was just my imagination.
