3 hunters ded.

Went mano mano with the last one goddamn. 4 ripostes+visceral attacks and lots of swinging. Took 0 damage lol. Feels like a bawsss.

Is it safe to say the PVP meta could be 120 to 125.

I want my endurance at 40
skill at 50
and vit 50

I dont know if the meta will be 120, but you should still be able to find PvP at 120. I was powerlevleing my character and got invaded 2x times in nightmare frontier at lvl 190. I was supprised did not think anyone would bother ringing their bell at lvl 180-200....

Damn, the strategy guide release for this has been a clusterfuck. I originally got 2 day shipping but I don't even care anymore. The fact they can't even estimate a delivery date is ridiculous.

Agreed. I'm tempted to cancel. Just so lame.

And to poster above, downstairs only.

I am having serious withdrawals from this game..(already platinum and I am done with new game plus so its not that I want to keep playing it) I have tried to start 3 different games and they just seem so basic and average. I can't motivate myself to play anything. I was going to start Evil Within, but it is just sitting in my ps4.

The last time I did this was after Demon's Souls...

Hitting the "fuck this" point with the
Shadows of Yharnam
I'm sure there will be a bunch of people tell me how easy it was, and that I just need to play better. Well, no, that's not all of it. Getting hit through the fucking tomb stones and giant stone marker in the map, is fucking bullshit. If I could hit them through that shit too, then sure, fair is fair, but no, I adhere to the rules of the games collison, these fucks do not. Had I a physical disc of the game, I would probably have set it afire by now.

I have about 100k echoes waiting there too. It's just so frustrating. Sorry, just needed to get it out, lol.

That's a legit gripe. I suggest using a fast weapon against them, as they stun easily and you can break their attacks. I used the short form saw cleaver. Keep the pressure up and they will be on the defensive.

Post-masterpiece depression. Happens to all of us bro.

And done. My first "Souls" game. Clocked in at 33 hours. Loved every bit of it. Hardest parts for me were Father G, and the penultimate boss.

Can't wait for some of that DLC.

Did all 3 endings. Ending spoilers obviously.
Gehrman was easy tbh, did him on my first try each time, Moon Presence took a few tries. It's reach coupled with it's lack of stagger proved some difficulty, but nothing too major. But wtf at the ending. I'm a weird squid thing? Am I going to assume the role of the next squid looking nightmare or something?

Read the trophy description.

Basically you become a baby Old One.

And honestly I felt the opposite as you towards the ending.

Gehrman wasn't really too bad since I was good at the parries at that point, but Moon Presence was a complete joke. Felt like a victory lap more than anything.

Yeah that's a hard fight. The long run to it don't help.

Gotta keep running and moving around. A moving guy will not be hit, and you can separate them that way. A little spoilerish advice, maybe you will notice this in the fight on your own
when one dies, the others power up. So try to hit them all equally and only kill one when the others are down to 40%

I got 2 endings myself today. Didn't get the last one because G
ehrman
decided to be a bitch so I turned it off and played MKX. Gotta do the last ending, get all the weapons and tools, do the chalices, get a special blood gem, and I should have the Plat.

just finally got started on this game and completely new to the souls series...

oh boy is this gonna take me a while to beat. im about 2 hrs in at central yarnham, exploring and trying to get a feel for it.

definitely going to be leaning on different online strategy guides

Ahh that makes sense. Also it is weird how different bosses prove to be such different experiences depending on build, play style, tactics etc. I'm a very aggressive heavy attack sort of player, so I rely on dealing big damage and constantly dodging and stunning enemies, or getting them on their backs. Rarely do I use Visceral attacks or gun parries. This strategy proved
easy with Gerhman, but an impossibility with Moon Presence as it's near impossible to stagger,
which might explain why it was the opposite experience for me.

On a side note, I've reloaded my cloud save before the final boss fight. Realised I want all the portals etc open for my Chalice runs, so I can easily farm Blood Echoes, Vials etc, without having to first re-do large chunks of the single player campaign all over again. Will get back to NG+ properly after the chalices.

On a side note, to get the all weapons trophy, do you also need to alternate versions of weapons found in the Chalice dungeons?

This will hopefully be my one and only question...trying to do all of it blind if I can

Should I "use" the boss/special items that can become bloodgems or whatever or are they saved for special characters/areas/weapons

For the
Brooch, you can give it to the little girl if you wish.
for the other items, you can just use them, as I don't think they're used for anything else.

Seriously?? I've just tried him a few times and his seemingly unpredictable attacks are killing me and coop partners. Ugh.
Nvm. Just killed the second form there. Both coop partners died and I was down to my last sliver of health with no vials left. Amazing how fast my heart is beating after some of these fights. Just got all
3 endings
now though. Just some chalice work and I'll be just about set for the platinum. Can't wait!!

Need some help here. Fighting M
icolash
. He has locked himself
behind a closed door and I can't figure out how to get to him. I figure it has something to do with the mirror, but it isn't activating for me.

Nah,
you just need to keep following path up the stairs until you get to a drop, keep right and then go down a little hole which overlooks the room he locks himself in.

those octopus/squid like things in that
nightmare
place, do they ALWAYS drop thick coldblood? seems like a good farming place if so

So I'm sitting here, cheesing the shit out of
Father G
just now, making use of 7-9 tombstones (a patch of them actually) and letting them serve as a barrier between us. He attacks, hits nothing, I jump in with a quick R1, over and over.

He tries circling around, I circle the opposite direction.

Finally, he goes apeshit and shreds the shit out of the barrier of tombstones, and proceeds to then start "handing me my ass.....like here you go sir, you dropped this."

The cheesings over :/

Yo.

YO.

Went back to this (hadn't finished yet) after a DS2 discursion for 10 or so hours, and this is just plain better. 10 or so minutes after adjusting to the framerate, and I just SO appreciate how much better the combat and world design is. It's just straight up intriguing to keep progressing and finding new stuff, because it all feels so utterly unique and engrossing.

While I'm at it:

Just beat Amygdala at level 66. It was quite easy, so I imagine I might be a little overleveled at this point.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE DS2, but damn if going back and forth doesn't highlight some of its largest flaws. I thought I would miss the variety of DS2 once I bounced back to BB, but it was the exact opposite.

It also helps that immediately after playing some BB I got the

Blades of Mercy

which is just a complete fucking blast to use :)

I feel like I'm getting close to the end. I don't want it to end.

just beat R
omulus
in NG+ first try and with only 10 potions to spare. Also used a weapon with no bloodgems on accident... lol.

The tip to
run straight for a bit then make a perpendicular turn
is spot on.

I never had an issue with the boss but the tip just makes the fight a cakewalk as long as you have good judgement of when to go in and when to find a better time
and space for the spiders not to be there

Father G and s
hadow of yharnam
are the most fun fights

Leveling up a new character now.

Hoping to get into more pvp than I saw with my first character. I think she's probably way outleveled now for any sort of summoning let alone pvp.

Chalice dungeons ho!
