For as many problems as 02 had, I'd still take it over Frontier or Hunters. If nothing else at least 02 had "The Call of Dagomon".

It was one of the best episodes of any Digimon series ever. That's already more than most episodes "amount" to. Who cares if they didn't follow up on it later? Any such attempt would have robbed the episode of its mystique and likely would have lacked the oppressive atmosphere of the original.

It was cool when it happened at a time when I thought they would properly follow up on it, but even as a kid I thought how stupid it was for something like that to happen because they just wanted to have a random "spooky" episode.

It didn't make sense last time either considering when they put up the egg and then blocked it with the most ridiculous number of clicks needed. I've learned to expect anything from Toei.

I also think Toei or at least the guys in charge enjoy trolling us.

She didn't have control over the power iirc? and in Advenutre she was the child of prophecy etc.Also it'd be much less interesting if they could use such an OP power at will. But it was probably due to megavenomultrablackmalomyotismon or darkness,towers,spirals,spores,flowers according to the writer or director of 02.

So, quick question from someone who loved the first season of Digimon and didn't really like the second series at all (three was ok, but didn't like the whole card business), does anyone know if it's going to be safe to have not watched all the other digimon series that were made? Or is it just going to be a continuation of the original two ignoring all the others? I don't really know how the digimon continuity works, or if it even exists.

You'll probably be okay if you just watched the first two seasons. Tri seems to be a sequel from 02.

On May 4th, 5th, and 6th they will re-air all of Adventure on niconico in Japan.

When that ends at 10:45pm on the 6th they will then show some tri. stuff including: a PV for the series/first episode, the rest of the voice cast and an airing schedule.
