After marathoning Digimon Adventures over the last weeks (I even stopped watching Breaking Bad for it...), I am so excited for Tri.

Please be good.

It'll be an animation of Tai waking up.

(This was originally going to be a joke but ya know what? screw it, I'd almost like the PV to be like this)

The PV:

We see a shot of a bed with someone sleeping in it. He starts to wake up and get out of bed. We don't see a proper shot of his face. He gets dressed into his school uniform. He grabs his old grey Digivice. He then opens his apartments door and we finally see a shot of his face, it's Tai, looking all confident while holding his Digivice in his hand/fist and holding it up. He finally says "Ittekimasu" and we see a cutaway fade to black thing,

Butterfly starts playing and we start seeing scenes of all the other Chosen Children and their Digimon. In the real world, in the digital world. Fighting against evil Digimon. Just going on Adventures, etc.

At the end of the PV, we see the air date season. "Summer 2015" or even an actual date (like idk, 27th of June, 2015) followed by the Digimon Adventure Tri logo and maybe the tram sound thing from the end of the first teaser.

Now I'm wondering what the PV will actually be lol. Like I said above, I wrote the first part as a joke and then my mind got into it >_>.

I just want my MagnaAngemon, damn it.

I'm sure we'll get him and the rest of the Perfect/Ultimates lol. I want my Ultimate/Megas but I'm still worried they will go with Magnadramon/Holydramon instead of Ophanimon :/.

Still would be nice to see Seraphimon, Vikemon, Hououmon, etc (anyone who watched savers/data squad will have seen Rosemon lol)

Would be too good so it won't be like this... ever. 15 second PV with Tai and Agumon smiling. Then logo and a "coming this summer lulz"

Haha, probably not 15 seconds but I wouldn't be surprised if something like that happened. (15 seconds is usually TVCM length)

But yeah, I know it won't be like that but it almost sounds like a perfect way to say "We're back bitches!"

Maybe we get Tamers season 2 after this...

I don't think they can do much more with Tamers unless they do a prequel to it with the monster makers?

Yeah I know that 15 seconds are always for the TVCMs, but I trust TOEI that they will fuck everything up. I am not quiet sure what to think about Dragon Ball Chuu... everything looks like shit from TOEI.

Wasn't Kyousougiga made by them? I loved this show... Maybe there is chance for good quality.

what time is the PV gonna show up in Japan

and I have low expectations, I already don't like the premise and TOEI is TOEI

Never watched that so idk. but I understand the distrust for Toei. They fuck things up easily. That said I'm trying to be as optimistic as I can be.

Read my posts above. I gave time estimates for several timezones apart from Japan. (because it's listed on the digimon-adventure.net website, what time the tri stuff starts in Japan, 22:45 which is roughly just under 4 hours)

Also there is no premise yet. We don't know what the anime is about. We've been given hints and that's about it.

ah so it's 9:45 pm in my country, sweet

and by premise I mean the whole thing just reeks of nostalgia (with an artstyle that doesn't match the first two shows), so yeah I am not really big on it

They can do alot. Maybe you should rewatch the ending again. Because Takato finds the Portal to the Digimon world even after they said there is no way to go to the Digimon world anymore.

I always just considered that to give a Happy ending to people instead of a ";_; they will never see their Digimon again" type of thing.

What else can they do with it outside of having the sovereigns do a U-turn and decide to try attacking the real world? (or having that D-reaper virus thing come back for some unexplainable reason)

Or just make it a feel-good series with an adventure in the Digimon world where so much stuff changed over the time (Like the world needed to rebuild itself because all Digimon died or something)?

Or even go as far as going a few years into the future where our Heroes are now full grown up(I mean 25+) and still meet up with their Digimons?

The first one wont quite meet up with the quality of Tamers. But the second could be an interesting thing (Throw a few kid heroes in it for the kids.)

Those would be fun I'll admit but a lot of people liked tamers for it's more dark plot (in comparison to the other series) so I'm not sure how well that would go down. I'd be up for it though lol.

edit: as a side note, I always found the digital world in Tamers weird (in a good way). It's much more digital-like than say the Adventure and Frontier worlds (and even the Savers Digital world) and it's whole layer system was interesting.

I think they would rather have a callback to the first season.
Bring back a more evolved Devimon. Or Myotismon or whatever.

Considering we're talking about Tamers atm, that wouldn't do much considering those digimon are weak compared to the Sovereigns in the Tamers universe lol.

I think you mean deep instead of dark. Season 1 had some dark moments and Tamers was on the same level. Tamers just wanted to be a bit deeper when it comes to characters, story and the whole topic about Digimon.

Your edit: Bring up todays problem with privacy and safety. Or even National Hackers. Then you have your dark themes.

Its a different universe?

So only Digimon Adventures and 02 take place in the same world and the other are in their own?

I always thought they play in the same digiworld.

I meant dark since that is usually what I see people say when it comes to Tamers. The most comment words: Dark, deep (both are used by people lol), Mature, etc.

Season 1 did have some mature stuff in it though, especially for an english audience (which wasn't edited out of it) like Izzy being adopted and Matt/TK parents being divorced.

Or even National Hackers.

I like that... though maybe that's because I've played too much Cyber Sleuth which has hackers as a big part of it lol.

Yup. All in their own worlds/universes. Xros Wars/Fusion even having a cross-over finale which explains that each hero comes from their own universe and saying how Davis and Tai came from different time period in the same world to explain why they were the same age.

I was under that assumption, too. So Adventures and 02 are in one world, Tamers is in another, what about the others? And I assume that because we're returning to the original Digiworld, there's a slight chance we could see the return of Ken?

See above ^

As for Ken, if 02 is canon (which it probably is), Ken and the other 02 kids will probably be seen. How much they screen time they will get is yet to be seen though obviously.

All Digimon series, except for Adventure and 02 are in different dimensions. Ryo, the anomaly, can travel through dimensions, as shown in his adventures with Ken 02 and his presence in the Tamers series.

And speaking of Ken, he is a chosen child, and a crest holder. I hope he plays a more active role in Tri.

Ryo, the anomaly, can travel through dimensions, as shown in his adventures with Ken 02 and his presence in the Tamers series..

Without something explaining Ryo, he's just too confusing. Even though his adventure with Ken is what led to him (Ken) getting spore'd in the Digital World.

Ryo is meant to be with Ken watching the battle with Diaboromon (according to the games I believe?) but we see him in the "Our War Game" movie where he has the same face/look as Tamers Ryo and he looks older than what he is supposed to be when he's with Ken.

Ryo is unexplainable more or less. The Anomaly is pretty much the most accurate description anyone can use for him.

That's probably why we didn't get much back story on how Ken got spore'd and what he did when he went to the Digital World with Wormmon the first time.

Also if anyone is wondering where we are in the marathon, we're on the episode "My Sister's Keeper" (Eng title)/"Bombing Mission! Mugendramon" (JP title).

Another few hours til it's over.

I think the Adventure arc where they finally get back to the real world is probably the deepest I've seen Digimon get. The relationship they all have with their parents is really interesting. Like Sora's mom being over protective to a fault but has to get over it to let Sora do the whole world saving business, the whole adoption thing with Izzy, Joe not living up to his brother in the eyes of his parents, Matt and T.K.s parents situation. Definitely my favourite arc of any Digimon series I've seen.

edit: I really hope they ignore the 02 characters. They were such a let down after 01.

Speaking of, I REALLY hope the parents get more screen time in Tri. they got barely any in 02. Hell the Izzy's mum still thinking Tentomon is with Izzy and not recognizing Patamon/Gatomon still annoys me whenever I watch it. (she's not that dumb :/)

I did like seeing Ken's dad/Izzy's mum/TKs mum get involved a little later on when researching Oikawa (or in the case of Izzy's mum, giving them some stuff to eat and phoning the parents of the dark spored children in that one episode) but that is all we got in 02 from the parents.

I accept the fact that the reason he shows up in everything is because of fanservice. I think its best to keep at that lol

And yes, it was awful how the parents had little presence in 02, despite all of them pretty much know about the Digital world. But once again, Ken is the exception. That one episode makes me weep. You know what I am talking about. Iori's grandpa is cool too.

Oh yeah, stupid me for forgetting about him. Iori/Cody's grandpa was pretty awesome. I enjoyed the screen time he got including that episode where he confronted Oikawa.

Also don't forget the manga universes of V-Tamer, that one with VictoryGreymon, a variation of Xros Wars, and I think one more manga.

For anyone looking for a restream (since I can't be bothered making one), I found this over on another website:

http://www.douyutv.com/meizhi

Feel free to watch this for the last 3 episodes of the marathon (next episode is the crest of friendship/piemon: the clown from hell) and the tri PV on there.

(if it gets shut down, I won't be on the look out for anymore restreams, I just saw that by chance honestly)

They didn't fuck up Sailor Moon. Crystal is pretty entertaining so far. Not perfect but pretty good. The dark kingdom arc had some issues but black moon is awesome so far!

Ignoring the story and stuff (which is basically down to opinion), I'm guessing the fuck up comment is talking about animation (which is pretty sub-par) and the pacing (2 episodes a month spread out over a year which is pretty fucking stupid. Even more so if they do it with Digimon which has traditionally had 50+ episodes over a 1 year period )

I only watched the first arc (not even all of it mind you) but due to pacing of the episodes schedule (the whole 2 episodes a month thing), I ended up getting distracted from it and will probably catch up with it when it's done but I have enjoyed what I've seen of Crystal even with the poor animation.

The latest tweet (about the final episode) on the official twitter got over 1500 retweets in about a minute. The Digimon hype is real!
