Just finished episode 2. That continuous shot fight scene at the end was legit.

Same here!

I loved how the camera would slowly move in and out from the door at the end. That, and how long it would take for the guys to go down made for a tense and brutal fight. I'm sold so far.

Series spoiler
What is Black Sky and what was the purpose of that subplot?

basically its another player that is prominent in the DD comics/lore...The Hand is coming to hells kitchen it would seem. Makes sense they are one of his most constant foes since they are world wide and have interests in NYC and work with Fisk and other crime organizations often to meet their ends. Stick alone confirms The Hand is around.

Black Sky im not sure but them wanting a building in NYC is reminding me of the time when DD and the Hand took over hells kitchen ..then it became a crossover and got stupid but before all that it was pretty cool it was like when Punisher became a mob boss and cleaned up New Jersey.

Just finished the whole series. It was great untill that last episode where
Murdock had to war that stupid costume, and then I recalled ''Ah, its a superhero show'' which bummed me out. There is something beningn about the silliness of a costume which just decreases the value of it being all believable. Yes, the fighting and jumping from roof to roof was a bit cartoony, but the fact that people acted like people undermined that level of silliness untill some dumb costume was introduced.

The great thing about it was how much it downplayed the whole Marvel tone of it, and instead we got an action filled adventure with great characters, lovable actors and amazing atmosphere and ambience, the fighting choreography were all done very well, and while some of the twists were, stupid, it did a had a great development throughout and it hada good closure which is a rare these days.

EDIT: Sorry, didn't realise its potentially spoiler. So apologies if anyone have read that.

just finished episode 2. i came into this show completely blind(lol, no pun intended) and i honestly wasn't even gonna watch it cause daredevil just doesn't interest me at all(and remembering the movie that came out a few years back wasn't helping) but i decided to give it a shot since I'm also not a fan of green arrow but enjoy that show. The show is a lot more... darker(for a lack of a better word) than your typical marvel stuff that comes out these days.

I was really shocked when Karen i think it was mentioned an attack on nyc or something(at least it sounded like that, i was reading an email from school). Immediately stopped everything and googled if this show took place in the MCU, really really surprised that it does cause the tone is completely different than the movies and that lame ass show on ABC(agents or something like that). But yea, I'm really enjoying this show, honestly the first two episodes were better than the first two of both arrow and flash. If the show does well and continues i do wonder what will happen after Cap'n vs Iron Man, I don't read the comic books but from my understanding that movie is about Iron Man wanting all the heroes to reveal who they are and go public while the Cap'n is against. wonder what happens to daredevil if IM gets his way.

Also its nice to see deborah in this show, she's my celebrity crush :3

Finished the first three episodes . A recurring point that keeps bothering is his quick recovery . It seems as If he's getting into lots of fights and taking substantial dmg to the body, some days barely able to walk. Yet somehow he is able to fight once again , and win fights that have severe odds against him-And he's able to work during the day as a lawyer .
The way the show portrays his character he doesn't seem to have any extraordinary healing abilities.

Meditation
and
a very talented nurse friend.

Just finished the series, but something from episode 5...
Fisk and Vanessa were sitting down at dinner and talking, and there's a mention of a white suit and ascot. Fisk says "that's a bit much," which made me giggle probably way more than it should've.

Yo Episode 11 is amazing

Wesley continuing his streak of BEST DUDE. The relationship between him and Fisk is very intriguing; they're both clearly awful, awful people, but as broken as as they are, it works very well.

Wait what just happened

OH JESUS CHRIST WESLEY WHAT HAVE YOU DONE, NOOOOOO

What is this??

Wow... and this is supposed to be a fight???

Because what I see is a guy waving his arm like an idiot and the other guy bored decided to do something at the wall...

I believe that guy is supposed to be a sort of joke character. Who thinks he's cool, but does stupid unnecessary flips all the time. At least, that's what I've heard.

FUCKING A EPISODE 12

'I'm not here to threaten you...I'm here to kill you.' I rewound that line from Fisk so many times I lost count. So much goddamn menace.

Shoutout to Wesley for looking like a man that will slaughter his own family while wearing the same expression throughout.

Dudes fucking creepy, yet poetic.

Just finished episode 6, this train dont stop.

Episode 9

"The old fool has taught you in our ways."

So is/was Nobu in the same clan or whatever as Stick? That made it sound like he was.

Edit:
Damn, Nobu got ether'd, and Matt got his ass handed to him a second time. And Fisk is a friggin mastermind. He's just setting up and eliminating everyone.

Also, someone else knows Matt's secret now. I honestly didn't think it would happen yet.

Nobu is presumably part of The Hand, who are enemies of The Chaste, which is a similar group of martial arts ninja dudes that Stick is part of. So they probably know similar combat techniques and such.

That was disappointing in the end, I saw the first four-five episodes in one go which were very promising together but afterwards, I spread it a bit more because it tapered off and didn't really feel like the top of my list. It really failed to deliver on anything except Fisk and Wesley, who might have been the best villain of the show. Agent Carter remains the top Marvel show with this. The show also felt really episodic for something meant to be binge watched. Every episode really followed the typical TV set-up.

I felt like the finale was one of the weakest episodes but I really enjoyed the series. It's far better than the ABC shows and I really have high hopes for the other Netflix series now.

I havnt watched this show yet but can anyone tell me if there are any special effects like in the 2003 Daredevil movie where you can see what he sees? Like that sound radar vision thing.

not really, i would have liked something like that shown a few times though (aside from the ability to see faces, and that rain scene was cheesy as hell lol)

you get one small moment where you see the world in his perspective and it's just fire-like

Well that kinda sucks.

I recently watched the 2003 directors cut of the movie and really liked how they had lots of those scenes.

I was hoping that they'd switch it up so that he saw people like Foggy clearer. Like the more he knows you, the better the picture he can form of you.

Episode 10

Holy shit,
Karen putting in work. That's some real detective work right there. I also really like the flashbacks about Matt and Foggy, and the whole dynamic between them this episode now that Foggy knows the truth.

Edit: Yooo. Part of me thinks
Fisk himself poisoned the drinks to show Gao he's still focused, but then it could be Gao who did it in an attempt to force him back into focus, or it could be Leland and/or Gao behind it because they think Fisk will kill them off as well.

Foggy noooo, don't go.

Series spoiler -
Why does Ben have to die in this??? I was SUPER pissed that happened. I had hoped since he was fired from the Tribune that it would allow him to be used at the Bugle in future series now that they can use it. ARGH!!!

Arrow has the better fighting, tho.

There isn't anything I can think of Arrow does better than Daredevil, but this in particular isn't even remotely close to being true.

Hell, Agents of Shield has better fighting choreography than Arrow. Ward VS Hydra agents in Turn, Turn, Turn and Melinda May VS Agent 33 is much better than anything Arrow has ever pulled off.

Daredevil isn't a fair comparison.

Well, Sebastian Blood
was a lot better at hiding his mother and his murder of his father when running for office
compared to Fisk. Although, in both cases he managed to be discovered by
the lawyer related ex-girlfriend of the main lead's best friend.
. But she wouldn't be believable, because
the old lady doesn't remember as good anymore as she should.
. It is literally the same story.

I am probably gonna get slaughtered for this but I thought the film showed his powers better.
