Quality trailer. Disney will rule the world. THey literally might as well make a nerd mega-park in Disney World featuring Marvel and Star Wars. They could buy a couple of the towns surrounding them.

I'm curious what the context of the "Chewie... we're home." line comes from. It seems as if Han has been separated from the Falcon for some time, judging by how somber the line is delivered. Chewie also has his crossbow raised, which makes me wonder if the Falcon is being commandeered.

That's my thought. Someone has had the falcon for a while; maybe Poe? Haha, only other pilot we know of so far.

Holy shit, this thing is real??

It's amazing that it is real, absolute respect to the puppeteering team, but I thought it had to be CG because its surface has such a matte finish. It looks a bit flimsy compared to R2, to be honest. But again, amazing job in creating it, and props to JJ for not pulling a Lucas and making it CG. I'm really curious how the head free-spins like that on its ball-body.

Well the books that came after ROTJ went into Han living the high profile hero life with Leia and never being able to fly the Falcon. Might be a similar deal here. That's just a guess.

Loved it for the most part. I dislike the fast zoom effect I spotted near the end hopefully there isn't going to be too much used for the flight battles.

Also the "Chewie we're home line" felt really cheesy like some SNL skit.

It's Star Wars, it is allowed some level of cheese. Harrison Ford looked fantastic as Han Solo!

Why does his head tilt down as he moves, while in the first teaser that doesn't happen?

Probably a lot more difficult to operate live, and in Teaser 1 it looks like he has a lot of momentum to keep him up. BB-8 makes me very excited. I'd love it if they used more practical effects like in the original trilogy for the space battles and stuff.

This is a very plausible theory. Maybe he's long separated from his former life with the Falcon, and this is a bittersweet reunion scene.

Magnets and gyroscopes. Check that XKCD comic a few pages back for the schematic

If they do that, AND it's less than $50....

Dear JESUS.

I would need a bunch of other equipment; but I think, given time and ingenuity, $300 might be realistic. Fans will/probably have replicated BB8 to a degree already.

Could also be different props, close up and action shots. One is more suited for slow and character takes, the other is used in high speed situations.

Yeah, that's a good point.
Man, BB-8 is so cute, I want one. Wonder if it's possible for them to release a decent remote controller toy or something?

I loved the trailer. Im happy to see Han Solo and Chewy back on the big screen again.

Also How does BB8 even work?? Im betting a downsized version is going to be the hot new Toy for Christmas...
