Leaked Battlefront info (40 players, heroes, free Ep7 DLC, FPS & TPS) [Full Screens]

Any mention of an Instant Action mode? Any confirmation that they'll even include bots? The lack of a campaign wounldn't be so much of a dealbreaker if they at least included an offline bot mode.

How does the guy on the left put his t-shirt on?

Isn't this the same as battlefront 2 though? Or does it lack any cutscenes and story telling at all? Is it just like a offline challenge mode then?

Still hoping to hear about instant action as well as galactic conquest

They really haven't said anything more about it other than that's what they're offering. I don't expect to hear much more until E3.

My biggest concern with the aerial combat is its gameplay. If something in line of Battlefield I wont like; in line with Halo I'll like it a lot; in line with Warhawk I'll love!

If it's like the old battlefront it'll be like halo's air combat with more variety. Of course, it's probably going to be just like battlefield... *sigh*

Shooters don't have bots anymore (for the most part)...doubt it

why would you want bots when there are flesh and blood people to play against? I have never understood this

So, who actually said that? And why should him/her be believed?

http://bf4central.com/2014/01/youtube-producers-ea-broke-ftc-rules-battlefield-4-promotion/

They had a deal with ronku to cover the game, a deal that paid them a TON of money to produce videos marketing specific aspects of bf4 (the images show one for producing levolution videos)

The deal stated they were not allowed to show any bugs or anything.

They made the videos, took their paycheck and never bothered to disclose that the videos were paid for marketing.

One of them freely admitted that the deal was there (not like they had to the evidence was clear as day)
They ofc all tried to backpedal and damage control it. (yes I got paid yes I took the money yes the deal said not to talk about the bugs and problems but I swear I was being honest when I praised the game the high heavens and that was totally me talking and not the money)

Fact is jackfrags has overwhelmingly positive hype videos for battlefield 4 pre release which did not give viewers a single hint of the state the game was in. (do I have to remind you what state the game was in and how surprised unsuspecting buyers were? )

All while he was secretly getting paid a lot of money by EA for it.

People watched his videos and got burned hard at battlefield 4 launch.

I watched his videos before launch (though I was smart enough to not buy the game at launch but wait and see) and the game jackfrags was showing to people and talking about was not the game people were getting (nor was it the game he was playing outside of his cherrypicked footage)

Bad internet connection makes online terrible?

Sometimes it's fun to practice against bots?

Sometimes you don't want to deal with kids screaming over a mic?

Battlefield flight controls are straight forward enough to understand and perfect for masters to do so much more but my brain just can't get to grips beyond basic crap flying. I guess it's a toss up between simple fun and depth, think Battlefront will fall in the former.

Because some people don't enjoy playing online, lag, server issues, assholes, etc. Also plan on playing this game longer than a couple months so having to rely on other peopl is no good. Instant Action is literally the most important feature for me.

The problem with Battlefield's flight is that they had full speed jets in maps that are too small to allow you to work with that speed. If the player count is any indicator, the new battlefront will have smaller maps than BF 4, exacerbating that issue.

Man I don't give a shit about SP but why are there only 40 players per map? That's weak shit. Coupled with no space battles means this game is a wait-and-see now.

That's some sexy blur and DoF. Much closer to the first footage in those screens than the screen from yesterday was.

Neat, so that's it crashing. Very cool.

I'll echo that bots would be nice. Not everyone can get online or enjoy multiplayer all the time and just want to kick back. As with BF3, it would be nice to practice flying without being griefed or shot down in 30 seconds if you're lucky enough to get access to a vehicle. Bots should always be included, might even help devs develop better AI while there at it.

It just looks too good. Especially for it to run at 60 fps as well. I will be happy if it comes anywhere near that.

It definitely won't look as good as the in-engine trailer.

Editor doing who wrote a hands-off preview of Battlefront on a Dutch tech website, said the game looked good, but by far not as good as the in-engine trailer.

I was never in a jet long enough to notice that :D

It doesnt hurt to lose against a bot. Bots dont trashtalk u.

Seriously, if you have such thin skins that trashtalk bothers you, there is a setting (at least on xbox) to mute everyone who isn't a friend

Yeah, I hope they realize it and target a more arcade gameplay, as they should. BF4 air combat doesnt appeal to me at all!

Yeah I have seen some really ninja pilots in BF4. But I prefer something less deep and more straight fun to fly. Halo and Warhawk do it pretty well!

Yeah, it's amazing how fast people forgot about all of that. I'm sure those streamers don't really care though, $200k is a lot of money for making a video and putting it up on youtube.

It was a dark day considering there's little to no places to go to for trusted opinion, and these guys were just passionate gamers like us so people kind of trusted them more.

I'll wait for some footage, then decide if I want to deal with the distinct possibility the game will be broken day 1, again.

I can't see Front's aerial vehicles being as touchy to control as Field's.

I could get around well enough in a chopper, but those jets might as well have been a rocket aimed at the nearest mountain with a parachute attached.

People are going to want to fly the iconic X-Wings and TIEs without putting in 1000 hours in MS Flight Simulator.

What I'm curious about is, was it ever confirmed that the server issues we experienced at launch were happening to this group of players (I followed them all, as well)?

They mostly played at EA events, right? The server load, or server configuration itself, probably wasn't the same as production launch.

Regardless--I still listen to these guys, even if I don't trust them as much. Do you have any "clean" Youtubers that you watch? They're the most prominent and, despite the controversy, they also usually have good input and know their shit.

Yeah, this. It's hard to find good Youtubers to watch that aren't shills or beyond annoying (Pwnstar).

That can't be the same Destroyer. The terrain looks like Tatooine, there's a Sandcrawler, and Boba Fett is alive. Unless they're going to pull a whole bunch of craziness out of the box for Jakku.

Jakku is a desert planet just like Tatooine though. So who says Sandcrawlers and Jawas cant live on a different planet? And it totally makes sense to have it falling in the game 30 years earlier than Star Wars VII.

30 years.

Jakku is post-ROTJ. Boba Fett should be digesting inside the Sarlaac when that battle takes place.

It makes sense for it to happen. Not for Boba Fett to be there.

I never understood that excuse.

On PS4 BF4 everything is muted by default and you only get to hear your own squad talking if you allow it, never the enemy.

I was never in a jet long enough to notice that :D

I tried getting good with all vehicles so I'd get in jets quite a lot(I was pretty bad with them, did great in helis though) and on most maps you're accross the map in a few seconds, constantly having to turn with only a couple seconds available to actually attack ground units. Of course, when you have another jet to take out you're just going to be spending most of your time trying to line up a shot on them and outmaneuver them in a small as hell space. Again, I'm not going to pretend I was good with the fighters in Battlefield, but it constantly felt as if the maps were too small for them.
