Has two player splitscreen

Oh btw, day one.

Definitely getting this, and most likely the season pass.
Don't care what it looks like or if it has space battles.
It's only a game, it's only £40 or £50 and I'll definitely get my moneys worth out of it.
Can't wait!

Imo pretty disappointing but i don't know what i expected having EA and DICE involved there was little to no chance to get a battlefront 3 like experience.

No campaign meaning this is a pvp game, right?
But how does split screen work when it says 8-40 players, and not minimum 2 players?

Reading about the gane on wikipedia answers no questions. :(

More IS always better.

Having more options is ALWAYS a good thing.

If people want smaller games, they can play in smaller games.
Wrong, more is worse when it's just thrown in for the hell of it. If dice thinks this should only be 40 it's obviously for a reason. I'm sure they would've done more if they felt it was right but 40 is what they went with so people should just deal with it.

There are missions that take place on the multiplayer maps against bots. Think of them as "Star Wars moments". There isn't a campaign in the sense of a fully scripted linear story with a ton of set pieces.

Lol at the people defending the 40 player count in here. 64 is clearly better. Why would you not want more players to actually have a massive star wars battle?

Because part of being a fanboy or a victim of hype is defending anything and everything about your game of choice.

64 isn't better if you look at BF3 and 4. The majority of the maps are too small for 64 players. On the flip side, the maps feel too large for 32 players. Somewhere inbetween is the sweet spot in those games for most maps. 48 players seems to have that magic balance between running into action frequently enough while avoiding things like getting shot in the back every 5 seconds. If they are approaching this game with similar map sizes in mind, 40 will be fine I think.

they never said it was ingame, what more do you want them to do except putting text on the trailer that says in engine?

In game/in engine is very much a grey area as far as descriptions go. It can and will be easily misconstrued.

And the trailer I saw had a very big PlayStation banner at the start, which can and will give the impression that this is how it will look on a ps4. Which it wont.

Is it so much to ask for a little sensible honesty? Or just show us the game? Its videogames, not movies. Show some gameplay and immediately avoid all the questions.

Sounds like a ton of corner cutting to get the game out in time.

Sad to see. Just at the very least make what you do get out incredibly well polished. No online issues at launch, no performance issues or whatever please

Yeah, I'm just hoping that whatever they release, it ends up working. I'll certainly be holding off on getting it to see how the launch pans out.

Is it really hard to believe these graphics are possible on a PC? Console, I get, but DICE has never released any game footage that wasn't achievable on a PC, AFAIK.

I absolutely agree that this is achievable with a very awesome PC. But the big PlayStation banner at the start of the video is "misleading" at best.
