Oh shit, that just dawned (of justice) on me -

That's ground zero in Metropolis, isn't it. They put a monument to Superman dead center of the dubstep desolation Zod caused.

I've seen the promo shots. I'm talking in context of the movie. They'll go so far to make Aquaman look to be the most badass person on screen whenever he shows up. He'll be the "quicksilver" of this movie. Surprisingly stealing the show
I thought that was gonna be WW?

I hope Batfleck is using a voice modulator to hide his identity and then later ditches it or uses it only when using the armoured Batsuit.

Everything about this trailer is perfect and has got me hype as fuck.

Why would he only use it with the robotsuit? If anything, that would be the one suit he DOESN'T need it for, since I assume Superman knows it's Bruce in there.

that's what he looks like in the book this is being adapted from

Jesus christ.

I don't think he'll be in the movie nearly long enough. Sounds like it's just a cameo.

And how exactly would that go? Superman can flip over a city bus with his pinky finger. I don't care what kind of suit Batman is wearing - Superman could end this fight in seconds.
Dunno. He did say 'he will bleed'.
The way Man of Steel ended I really can't see Superman turning bad. He is no villain. Bat on the other hand can be a villain in many ways. Batwing was shooting and blowing up people shooting guns at it. So unless Lex hacked his batwing I think Ben Affleck is the villain in this. And Lex as well.
I can ride with that. Trust me, I'm a big Superman fan and last thing I want to see is him turning bad.

No they weren't, they were Juiced on Yellow Sunlight, and partially nerfed by Kryptonian Atmoshpere.

No they weren't. They'd been on earth for all of 30 seconds when the fight started and they already had superspeed. You don't think that would have merited a moment of confusion if they weren't expecting to be able to move that fast?

The monument shot looks like 2000 video game cinematics, so like shit. Otherwise the trailer is okay, glad to see it properly now.

I wish I could go back in time and show this to my 8-year-old self. Trouble is, little me would probably die from excitement.

Well, they had been orbiting the moon for a while absorbing yellow radiation. Besides, the Kryptonians already knew the effects of a yellow sun as evidenced by Jor El.

Hmm. It's possible, I guess. They don't show any signs of other superpowers on the ship, though. No superspeed while chasing Lois.

"My Father Believed that if the world found out who I really was, they'd reject me... out of fear. He was convinced that the world wasn't ready."

Pretty good trailer in my opinion. Just because they encounter each doesn't necessarily mean they will fight.

"Do you bleed?....Because you will."

"Eat a snickers, Bruce. You're really mean when you're hungry"

I'm pretty sure Star Wars is universally liked more, where as this trailer is divisive to a degree... I would say I'm the crazy one because this hyped me more than the Episode 7 trailer.

Star Wars is only liked more by the generation who were alive back when the first trilogy came out.

Batman reverse engineers the tech from one of Zod's destroyed ships, and creates a device that replicates the atmospherics of Krypton. Should be more than enough to incapacitate Clark.
He fought a terraformer that could do that.

He fought a skyscraper-sized terraformer that could do that.

How's Batman going to build a stronger one without anyone noticing

It probably became Centennial Park

Oh they're gonna fight. The movie just won't be the two hour wrestling match some are apparently expecting it to be.

If it was Tech based, the fights on a Krypton would have been super human, which they were not.

In 33 years of Scavenging Kryptonian Outposts and searching for Kal-El you think they didn't run across an Earth like Sun? Or the Fact that Jor-El knew what earth conditions would do to Kryptonian Physiology, which stands to reason that other Kryptonians would also know.

Ha, I thought it was SWAT when we saw it in the leaked video. This is actually much more bizarre and audacious. In some twisted way I do hope it's not just a dream sequence.

But I also really don't want it to be fascist Superman and his shock troopers a la Injustice: Gods Among Us.

Most likely Lex imagining what would happen if this being decided to rule mankind

Yowser, that's a trailer.

There are so many interesting themes and ideas in that teaser trailer alone it puts most other films in the genre to shame.

"Devils don't come from beneath us, they come from the sky."

Hnnnnng.

That fucking line blew my mind. Warners are really going to do something we haven't seen before with their DCU film slate, I can feel it.

Why is everyone acting as if this is the first time Superman and Batman will fight? We know Superman could simply breathe and kill Batman but it doesn't work that way.

Space is big, man. It's certainly possible.

You guys are right about the krypton fights, though. Guess that's one hole.

I hope Batman has a deus ex machina for everything Supes throws at him. Like, krypton reverse-engineered gear, a lining of Kryptonite on his armor, and a back up Pocket-Universe containing an artificial Krypton.

You know, so people who complain about Batman always having a plan walk out of the theatre. That would make me happy.

It could be something to do with their cloned genetics, or even the Eradicator

On Krypton, the Eradicator does all that it could over the years to protect Kryptonians, even from themselves. When a group of Kryptonian explorers leave Krypton in search of a new planet to colonize, the Eradicator alters their birthing matrices and makes them fatally allergic to lead, thus creating Daxamites.[citation needed] To further ensure that nobody left Krypton, the Eradicator alters Kryptonians by encoding in them a genetic defect so that they will instantly perish if they leave their world.

I'm really curious to see people reacting to metahumans being in the open. That's something the MCU fails to show - Thor is a god. Surely some people are worshipping him.

I know this is more of a minor thing, but it looks like they've added some more color to Superman's suit, and I'm really happy about that. Man of Steel looked just a bit too drab and bland for my tastes when it comes to a Superman film.

That being said, this is a pretty cool teaser. I'm cautiously optimistic.

Hell, people pray to him in the comics, and he answers. It's kind of weird thing that the MCU just outright ignores it.

Then again, the stand alone Thor movies don't really have any business focusing on Earth as much as they do, anyway. Still, it'd be an interesting thing to see, and it's neat that this movie looks like it's going to be looking at that in some way.
