No I'm talking about the regular bat suit, it's like twice the size of affleck.

I'm sure it is padded, but Affleck has been looking like a refrigerator lately

About that armored suit.. What stops Supes from going super speed to the opening in the armored helmet and simply flicking his fingers at his mouth. Batman would be severely damaged, probably flip for a kilometer, fracture his entire jaw and lose every tooth. Imagine a punch

omg im dying.

The exclusive IMAX trailer makes it seem like the rumours about WW footage are true.

maybe the 2 minutes and 30 seconds claims awhile back were actually true for the imax showing. damn, kind of envious now.

-Liked the beginning of the trailer.
-It didn't wow me.
-Last line was corny as hell. Any other franchise and people would have derided it.
-Need to hear more of Batman's voice to know if I like it.
-Definitely love the new Batman look.
-CGI cape was awful.

Again, people, Faora and that big guy didn't have any superpowers when they first landed. That was 100% tech.

No they weren't, they were Juiced on Yellow Sunlight, and partially nerfed by Kryptonian Atmoshpere.

I'm in the camp that they had 100% power, but not 100% trained... the same explanation for why Superman didn't fly his first 32 years on Earth. The sensory stuff is covered by their helmets being compromised, not the atmosphere.

There's a video series that explains it all, so long as you watch ALL three videos and don't skip. Here:

How the powers / weakness works:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nFJPdFWrJPE

Showing the armor is unlikely to be powered:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HzWF7kma0zw

Showing the powers don't come from gravity or the atmosphere:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IbxoAEPs1mY

in the business we call those 'plot holes'.

If you follow the videos' theory, there's no plot hole... and it's actually worlds more simple than trying to come up with special rules or explanations for why Kryptonian Armor 18,000 years later doesn't have super strength, but ancient armor does; why Lois can move freely aboard the ship; why Lois can kill can fight armored Kryptonians; why Zod can transition to Earth air without issue; why the Kryptonians had DIFFERENT environmental suits when exploring the dead colonies; why Superman's powers come back instantly; why Superman's powers work in vacuum and in high gravity; how could Superman lose flight temporarily against the World Engine; etc.

You could create a crazy matrix of special theories to try and navigate it all, but you inevitably run into contradiction unless you follow the basic model:

1. Kryptonians are powered by radiation, gain 100% of their powers while exposed (star ships block radiation but the suits do not), but need training / focus to exploit them all.
2. Kryptonian atmosphere removes access to only their stores of power.
3. The helmets block sensory overload.
4. Earth atmosphere and gravity have nothing to do with powers.

Follow the above and then there are zero power-related plot holes or contradictions. Plus, you don't need to invent power levels for different suit eras, etc.

3 and 4 actually obvious and really just there to dispel myths, 1 is completely in line with tradition (Superman II, Supergirl The Movie, Superman TAS, Smallville, etc), and only 2 is an introduced nuance.

...Zod was the biggest idiot of them all, if he wanted to succeed in his mission he would've done things in the opposite order...he could've saved the world engine for after getting a strike force together and killing Kal L THEN killed a bunch of people , THEN started spawning kyptonians, THEN used the world engines. Everything he needed to save Krypton as he put it, was in place and his forces no longer had to worry about ...dying...ever. Why he rushed into what was MoS's final act is still confusing. They were unnnnnnnnnkillable, and only getting stronger.

Eh the whole film was weak to be honest it was like the alien invasion was the "main" plot point - and Superman was reduced to a glorified cameo appearance. Kind of like how the Transformers movies are not about the Transformers as such but the "world around them".

Batman vs Superman has disaster written all over it, I'll be surprised if it has a rotten tomato rating of more than 60%.

Yowser, that's a trailer.

There are so many interesting themes and ideas in that teaser trailer alone it puts most other films in the genre to shame.

"Devils don't come from beneath us, they come from the sky."

Hnnnnng.

That fucking line blew my mind. Warners are really going to do something we haven't seen before with their DCU film slate, I can feel it.

So, different from that one other movie? :P

Jesus. Do we need a third party in the stupid "fanboy wars" bullshit? When do we get a Star Trek trailer to add a new enemy?

Every "geek" movie trailer should start with a montage of other yet to be released "geek" movies followed by "Here comes a new rival" from Street Fighter.

Damn that was a great trailer.

do we know why they are fighting? o_ O

My assumption from the trailer is that it's down to some people regarding Supes as a god but some thinking he might have too much control and power over humanity and Batman is there to say, "I'm here to stop your shit if you go off the rails/ take advantage".

I dunno, just guessing.

Being that its inspired by dark knight returns, lex pushes superman to work for the government of the U.S. Doing into bidding, he is turned into a god by ppl and society begins to deteriorate and people go into anarchy and U.S. Uses superman to remove anything it doesn't like. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. Superman kills with impunity

Batman sees all this and does not like the way the world is going, he is the savior of Gotham but he wants to save superman and earth from the negative effects of what superman has done and has become. Superman is brainwashed by Luther into thinking he is helping humanity. Superman considers himself a demigod to men . Batman takes on superman to prove to him superman is immortal to superman and the world . At the end of the movie lex Luther starts to emerge as supermans greatest villian

4. Earth atmosphere and gravity have nothing to do with powers.

This is Wrong. The movie states clearly that Earth Atmoshpere affects Kryptonian physioloogy, the movie portrays this as Sensory abilities being tied to it. Flight and Heat Vision are at least partially tied to this as well.

Yeah...that's pretty weird and seems unlike Superman to be supportive of it.

my guess is that they start doing it before he even realizes it, and then asks him that to quickly to get up. The shot is cut to make it look like Superman is ordering his subjects to bow before him, but I'm assuming that's just a misunderstanding in the full scene.

GAF's slogan should be changed from "Believe" to "That CG Looks Bad"

lol
