On my fourth character now, going for pure skill... I really like the cane so ill prolly settle with that and Burial blade for my pvp needs, maybe the Retierpallasch aswell

Right now im helping a bunch of peeps with FG, get summoned within a minute

I wish Chalice progress was shared between your own characters. If I want to make a new character for PvP i have to go through all the Chalice grinding if I want to get the gems...

Anyone know a video to show where I can get through the spider room in
nightmare of mensis
with my eyes practically closed?

Ended last night my blind run, without help.

What a feeling of accomplishment and what a ride.
Amazing game, atmosfere, masterpiece, why games like this are so rare?

Now going to see all that i missed...

Because the majority of gamers don't care about difficulty, singleplayer and obfuscated lore/story.

That's why I see them so often? I've been relying on viscerals pretty heavily since I got the runes that restore health and bullets. :/

Haha yeah. You can always just run past them though. Since they only appear in rooms you've already visited there shouldn't be anything important left in those rooms.

In Lower Pthumeru Chalice dungeon layer 4 there's this sewer section full of rats and sticky blobs. In one of the large circular rooms linked directly in the sewer, there's this item sitting on a ledge. Does anyone know how to get this item? There's no apparent way up there.

was this solved? just spent half an hour looking for a way here... google failed me -- found two unsolved references to it and the post i'm linking to. imma giving up on it, but i hate doing that.

for those that need specific directions to the 'viewing room', the sewer section is set up in a circle with one offshoot... the offshoot is this room, where you can look up and see the item. based on my googling, multiple people have spent hours trying to find a way to get it. one thing i do notice is that if you look up, you there appears to be a cross walk way up at the top... so perhaps you could fall down to the item, but not from any place i've actually found.

Also -- I only just now discovered there are hidden treasure rooms/etc in chalices. do i need to go back and find them (i'm currently 3rd chalice (lower) layer 4 ).

Hmmm, I'm a little stuck and get the impression I'm heading to harder areas before I should - I've beat the second boss, done everything in Cathedral Ward (although how do you open the elevator in the cathedral itself?) and now have a number of direction choices. There's Old Yarnham, but I heard it's best to leave this until later? Then I've got up to a boss fight with
Vicar Amelia
which I can't win. To the right of that boss fight and down some stairs is a hunter with an electric weapon who keeps killing me, while to the left I've gone through the forest area to the Charnel Lane lamp and returned to find it's for a whole new headstone. So, what area should I be concentrating on?

Also, I've got a rune (from helping
Eileen the Crow
defeat
Henryk
), but how do I use it? Lastly, where do I find a chalice to perform a ritual? Thanks.

Is it a good idea to attack the gatling gun hunter in Old Yarnham? Just got there.
You can befriend him later, if you kill him you will get access to 2 weapons and an armor. If you befriend him you get access to the weapons and a gesture but not the armor

Although old yarnham is optional i recommend doing it, you get your first chalice there aswell. If you are having trouble with amelia use fire paper and numbing mist to stop her form healing.. You can return to her after completing charnel lane(You get the ability to use runes here) and try again but she is one of the mandatory bosses.

anyone up and want to help me take out
bloodletting beast
in chalice (lower, layer 4).

level 96.

NM - just needed to post that to kill him. whew.

No but my friend had something like that with echoes. In Central Yharnam running past a red lantern gave him every time 2,5k echoes.

that is a known glitch.

and you didn't get anyhealth?

on 2 characters, everytime I made the run for shadow of yharnam, I would get full health at that spot.

Are chalice dungeons part of the story progression? Should I try out the first one or are all of them end-game stuff?

First few are easy but they will get really hard really fast. I did chalices just before final boss and breezed few first chalices really easily (killed bosses with 6 swings).

I've spent hours hitting every wall in that layer, and never found a way up. I'm contented to pretend it was nothing important, since important stuff in the chalice dungeons are always in coffins.

Just finished my Platinum after running a quick NG+ today, very enjoyable game!

Hopefully they bring out some DLC... kind of bummed out to leave it for another game now. I suppose I should go back to Dying Light and finish it up.

Just lost +1M echoes on a Chalice

Although the witches in root ihyll are plain stupid. Especially when they put two of them. It's not just the mobs, it's also the framerate going into Blighttown level of shit. Why put two when the game can't handle them?

Atleast not for me. Tried to play with a friend who lives like at 2km from me in a Chalice and took an eternity to connect.

that is not how the internet works.

had massive lag, when I tried playing COD with a friend who lives a few 100 meters from me.

No both of you would still have to hit their central server and rely on that to connect to each other. The game doesn't do a direct connection with who you're playing with.

Is the central server dependent on your copy of the game, PSN account, or IP address?

It sucks either way, the game has been laggy as hell recently, it was perfect with no lag when it launched, I don't know what happened recently.

I guess my friend should git gud, then.

Those lovely spaghetti monsters sure do add to the Yarnham cityscape.

You can probably figure out how far I am into the game.

Need some help:
i defeated rom and searching trought the net i foind the crow hunter, the only problem is i cant find him in central yarhnam, i dont recall if i encountered him sooneer or not, does anyone know where i can find him now? Thank you all

confused by your post.

I suggest killing the crow hunter if you don't think you got the sidequest right. You get the Mercy Blades and the Crow Armor set. If you got it right you can join the covenant which nets you a rune on top of what I just said.

Gah, gotten to the Forbidden woods. The boss seems damn difficult. Any other areas I should try to visit before I take them on again? Chalice Dungeons..?

Go the Grand Cathedral (Amelia fight) and prepare yourself.

Being doing NG+ to get the bosses I missed the first time as I did it blind did cainhurst last night. Was fun. Took 5 goes to take down the boss. Had him figured on turn 4 but he threw his damn magic sword through the floor so I couldn't get to and desroy it lol. So prob should count that attempt but what ever.

Think that chalices wont help.

Maybe visit Hemwick (left going up to the grand cathedral) and take a good item after the boss fight (seems easier)
