sword and shield for WW.

dat Trinity.

WW got Red and blue, Lasso of Truth and sword. nice. now we just need to see her in action.

I'm sorry this whole movie just looks like it was made with the same care for the source material as that 'gritty reboot' power rangers shit that came out a month or so ago. It looks like somehow like both a teenager was given free reign and millions of dollars to make their 'super cool' movie, and also like it was made by someone who doesn't give two shits about superman or batman but was given millions of dollars to make a 'super cool' movie.

Why does batman sound like Jigsaw?

Snyder can be criticized for a lot of shit, but "not caring" is probably the last thing on that list

Oh definitely. Doesn't mean all that effort and caring amounts to anything better than someone who doesn't give a shit would make. He pretty regularly fucks up source material in his efforts to make good movies.

I am not really sure why, but I am pretty excited for this movie. I don't even like superhero movies, never read comics, didn't really like the Nolan Trilogy(Never even watched Rises), haven't seen Man of Steel, and I decided that I didn't really care about Marvel movies anymore. But man, I am getting excited about this movie! Maybe it is Wonder Woman.

My dream movie is Batman meets Saw. Batman has to escape a jigsaw labyrinth.

I'm just amazed you can get all of this out of a 2 minute teaser that has probably about 20 to 30 seconds of actual footage.

I think you're projecting, ultimately. I don't see how you can look at the depiction of Batman we've seen so far and say the person behind it doesn't care. This is probably going to be the most comic-accurate version of the character that's ever been and the relationships, interactions, and conflicts are probably going to be pretty in line with a number of Batman/Superman stories that have been told.

I really don't get why people are saying DC is rushing to release Justice League. Like..people do realize there is still Suicide Squad and Wonder Woman movies coming out b4 right? That will make a total of 4 movies to lead up to JL.

Is 4 movies not enough? On top of that we just had a Nolan trilogy with like a 8 hour runtime. So Batman doesn't need some new introduction. Everyone knows who he is. Really don't get the complaints. Seems like people are being bitter trolls for no reason.

Yeah I guess you're right that I'm projecting. Projecting based on Snyder's past work and the atmosphere that the teaser was made to project of what the final movie will look like. I mean, that's what we're all basing our opinions on. Of course we won't know what it really will be until a year from now when it's out, and I remain open to giving it a shot.

This sounds like a little "fuck you" to Superman's fans lol. He's a guest star in his own sequel, he's "smaller" than Batman (even smaller than Diana), and he's probably going to get his ass kicked somehow by Batman. Wow

All reports say that it's very much a Superman film, rather than him being a guest star

Do you feel the same way about Iron Man in Captain America 3?

Never underestimate the ability of some to take offense or imagine slights.

I mean, if you want to play the "favorites" game, you could say, "Superman is in the central position between the three." With respect to size, that's how perspective and distance to the camera works. Superman has more air time in the teaser than Batman, more dialog about him, and even Batman's moment in the teaser is shared with Superman being there. The official twitter is using the Superman poster as its banner, not the Batman poster, more of Superman's supporting cast is in the film, and even if we don't know the outcome of the fight, we know the outcome of the movie... a Justice League dawns... is a Justice League more in line with the ideals and modus operandi of Superman or Batman?

When you're in charge of marketing you push the more popular character. We'll get an eventual "Death of Superman" movie down the pipe

Probably because instead of giving us separate movies to develop the characters we are getting batman superman wonder woman lex luthor aquaman and cyborg all crammed into dawn of justice. How on earth they plan to make that work I do not know - but if they expect us to care about these people then we need them to have screen time and I don't know how they are going to have enough

That said I really hope they manage to pull it off because this has a lot of potential

Wonder Woman suit is a thing of Beauty, although they could have done with making the breastplate a little less pronounced.

In fact, all their respective bulges look off and very exaggerated.

The bulges are definitely being accentuated by the crotch-lights. I wouldn't anticipate them looking that pronounced in the film.

Cyborg and Aquaman are cameos. Superman has already been established. Wonder Woman has a minor part but she's getting a solo movie before JL. Batman and Lex Luthor are the only ones that needs to be explained.

This "cramming" argument is getting old. You'd think with movies like X-Men and GotG people would think it can be done but no.

The teaser is a bit deceptive, Batman is more of a secondary character in the film. Most of the cast is Superman's and people that have claimed to read the script say it is mostly Superman.

This film + suicide suqad seems to be more about building/launching the DCUniverse than a Superman or Batman movie. I can see why they chose those two movies instead of another solo movie. I think a lot of concepts will be established in both these films. Hell, suicide squad is even going to introduce magic via Enchantress.

Heck, forget comic book movies. We have decades of fantastic films featuring ensemble casts. I didn't need a individual movie for every character before seeing stuff like 12 Angry Men, Ocean's 11, The Dirty Dozen, The Magnificent Seven, The Fellowship of the Ring, Saving Private Ryan, Heat, The Departed, Pulp Fiction, or Star Wars etc etc.

All of those films (and many, many more) had a ton of characters to introduce and they got along just fine. Plus, they didn't have the added benefit of featuring characters that were already extremely iconic and that audiences were familiar with going in. It really shouldn't be a concern. Like, at all.

I know Lex, in the comics, is the smartest man in the dc universe

but his intelligence is not just purely scientific like Reed (Reed is the smartest man in the marvel universe, but almost all of his intelligence is scientific based)

I agree, first of all, but still find it funny that Affleck gets top billing even though it's Cavills movie :P
