I cannot believe Linda, Kelly, Fred, etc are gonna be in the game. That's a lot of characters to give due credence to however.

I wonder if there's any chance we'd get to play as each Spartan. Kinda like we did with ODST. I believe I heard we get to play as Locke at the very least. It'd be interesting if he wasn't the only one.
 
Hope we get a trailer for both Blue Team and Lockes.

A thought occurs: maybe they're planning on simplifying the task of introducing the team members (blue and Locke) by using this whole Locke vs. Chief thing they've got going. "Watch both trailers and vote for your favorite!"
 
Just to be clear, I'm referring to the full-body model next to blue-team, not the big sideshot of his head.

But while we're at it; what's the explanation behind the honeycomb design on the visors since Halo 4?

As to the other thing, really, it's an artistic decision. I mean, you can justify it in-universe easily enough, by making them a component of the HUD or a structural part of the visor or what have you, but ultimately it's just that someone at 343 likes 'em.

Personally, I'm okay with them, but they're way too visible on some of the visors.
 
Should have Vidmaster Challenges again, if we really have 4 Player Co-op. Those are pretty awesome.

Please have a good campaign netcode. :/

I would loooove in-game challenges on the level of difficulty and complexity of the Vidmasters.

Upon closer inspection, the dots appear to be lines in the visor, detail for details sake. I don't like it, but it's not something that'll be too visible during the game.

The honeycomb look is a bit silly. It could be cool if it's subtle, but it's definitely too visible, and it made Chiefs visor in 4 look like it was made out of orange-peel.

I think that really embodies 343 compared to Bungie in the art department, in that they over-design a bit too much. Whereas Bungie kept things relatively clean and simple.

Vidmaster Challenge Annual:

Last level of Halo 3, on Legendary, with the Iron Skull on and everyone in Ghosts. Equal parts frustration and pure joy getting through the flood and the giant geometry pieces that would wreck you.

Had a ton of fun getting that.
 
They use dedicated servers for custom games, so it's safe to assume they will use them for online co-op.

I know it was a Beta, but there was some heavy lag in the Halo 5 Beta. Like in Breakout, people would lag out and not be launched into the map and just fall off the map instead. Had also some stutter in Slayer, but nothing major.

Yeah the net code will have to be on point if there is any kind of 4 player coop.

Playing the Halo 3 Vidmaster in the MCC was so painful. It was a slideshow and I still don't know why we decided to play through it like that.

They are really good. I must have played through the campaign Vidmaster Challenges in Halo 3 and ODST like 30 times each.

Yeah, the Beta had some issues with server selection which is fixed in the retail game as they allow you to select a Datacenter like in Titanfall.
 
No doubt, it looks so much better black. Whoever made that design decision should be ashamed. How did nobody say, "Dude wtf no , that's not ok" to that guy?
Looks a lot better on the right in that picture. Not sure why they insist on sticking with the design on the left.

I've been getting pretty great netcode for MCC. Just about to finish Halo 4 coop after completing the previous games.
