One thing I didn't like about the ep:

When Cisco relives the moment, Wells is smiling maniacally as he vibrates through his chest. In the original scene, it was a bit of a melancholy moment for him like he actually didn't truly want to do it but he has to.

It was a dream version which can change things a bit. The conversation wasn't exactly the same either.

Hope so!

Damn this show! Damn!

Don't care if that's how Iris figures it out, at least she knows even though if we're going to go by her feeling a spark... Yeah, subtle writers. Also notice that the Gideon cut off came before Justice unlike the comic preview of the scene, I'm guessing they had to snip it from the final episode.

Dammit too tired to write more.

Joe should have just said, "Eddie, Iris loves my son and not you."

I see what you did there.

Wells has a voyeur fetish...

In the original character description when casting Eddie, they say
he has a dark secret in his past.

Could it be that Eddie already fathered Wells' ancestor?

Just finished it

She knows! lol
Good episode, and I'm glad everything is out in the open now. Next two will (hopefully) be glorious.

One thing I'm looking forward when the season ends is the soundtrack!

Oh wow, Joe crushing Eddie's desire for a blessing is totally fucked up.

What the fuck, Joe. What is wrong with you? Like kicking a puppy.

Whoa, flashback to Coma Barry. The first meeting of Wells and West.

It's so fucked up that Joe literally sees Barry as his son, everyone including Wells sees that, and yet they're okay with him boning his adoptive sister.

I mean it make sense if you think about it.

Joe like Laurel's father on Arrow (I forgot his name)

Doesn't want to drag Iris into the world of Law Enforcement and crimes.

Eddie being a detective means that he might inadvertently put Iris in danger because of his profession. Or if he die, it would leave Iris heartbroken.

Its like a cop dad wouldn't want his daughter to date another cop.

Another reason might be because Joe secretly root for Barry and Iris.. Which I don't. They got almost zero chemistry.

But Barry is basically Super-Cop. He's got superpowered psychos out for him. But he's okay with that?

It's the same thing. He's just totally cheering for his boy to bang his girl.

Lol, Eddie's a total bro, showing Barry the engagement ring.

Eddie's like a golden retriever. Don't crush him!

I like this dreamscape idea

This is the real reason as Joe himself stated, I'm pretty sure that being with Barry is a bit more dangerous than cop Eddie. I do think it's kinda fucked up that nobody thinks Iris is a grown up capable of making her own choices.

I hope we find out more about Captain Singh other than he's a Captain and he's gay.

This conversation between Joe and Barry is fucking weird.

What the fuck, guys. This is just odd.

Every single comic television villain gets better development than 99% of comic film villains. I find Slade, Kingpin, Merlyn, Whitehall, Reverse Flash, etc a hell of a lot more interesting than Zod or any villains in the MCU flicks (other than maybe Loki)

And people wonder why Batman doesn't have his own live action tv series(Gotham doesn't count but technically it is giving some villains great backstories).

Would you rather have a son in law who is a superhero or a cop? Yeah my thought exactly. Lol

Well yeah, but he's also a superhero. Chances of Barry being able to take care of Iris is better than Eddie.

Though at this point I just want Barry to go back to Linda and as much as I like Eddie now, he get the short straw and be stuck with Iris.

How has no one made mention of Cisco's geeking out over Barry's costume change in the future??? That was such a cool way to do it. We could get a more comic accurate suit in season 2, can't wait!

I'd be fine with a bright red version of the Reverse Flash costume with the white emblem.

I actually can't imagine Reverse Flash in a movie possibly getting a better costume than that. Only thing you could maybe do is remove the zipper.

I don't get it. If that force field was supposed to stop super speedsters... how did Hannibal the shapeshifter guy step through it? Hell, how did that bullet pass through it?

It was only programmed to stop speedsters in particular. Meaning anything that's not a speedster can easily just step through.

Eddie needs to get with Linda and just be done with Iris.

Linda is the superior girl on this show. Linda and Eddie would make gorgeous smart confident babies while being totally nice and confident and take nobody's shit cause they are mature-ass adults with normal, healthy emotions and shit.

Goddammit, CW. Why can't you see this!?

Episode was hype. Wells is hype. Those future spoilers were all over the show. They gave zero fucks about spoiling Barry's future and those Justice League shoutouts omg. Big Arrow spoiler in the newspaper. I mean sure the future can change but the show is basically saying "yeah, we're gonna go there eventually". That said I think I'd still like the show to kill Barry off at some point because it would open so many Wally storylines.

It's so fucked up that Joe literally sees Barry as his son, everyone including Wells sees that, and yet they're okay with him boning his adoptive sister.

Joe considers both of them his children, but they don't consider themselves siblings. It's not fucked up at all. He was 11-ish when adopted by Joe.

Eddie needs to get with Linda and just be done with Iris.

SHE'S WALLY'S GIRL.

Barry Allen inventing Gideon is a bit odd to me given that he's a forensic scientist, and Eobard Thawne would've also had access to vastly more sophisticated technology in his own time.

Flash ages slower and his brain works faster. He could eventually have the time and intelligence to do it.
