This a lot more consumer centric that I thought.
Makes sense considering it is a conference for developers of course...

I don't know, i've heard "Consumers" about 500 times last minute.

Microsoft, you're overstraining tech bloggers.

While I don't mind the coding and tech talk, as a developer thats the reason I watch build... I think I understand why they used to pack the first hour and a half of the steam with New Technology.

At this rate by the time they get to it, the press is pretty much going to be fully asleep and/or not as receptive as if they got it out of the way and then the press could fall asleep in their chairs. There is a reason they invite the general press to the event instead of using those tickets to let more developers in

The stream was working fine for me in VLC until a few minutes ago when it started crashing. I've updated VLC but it keeps breaking after a few seconds each time I open it now. Damn, I was rather enjoying it.

The Verge ladies & gentlemen.

Daniel Rubino on the Windows Central live blog is still hanging in there. He makes a remark every ten minutes or so, but he's actually covering it.

I'm just watching the embedded steam on Windows Central. I'm getting good quality and it hasn't dropped on me yet.

I'm interested in learning more about this cross platform VS IDE.

And this is Tom Warren, pretty much the only decent person left at The Verge!

He had no business covering BUILD. It is not his fault either.

Well, the 3rd topic of the Keynote is all things Windows 10 so he's got to be there for that especially if they talk Hololens.

This stream keeps on bufering for me hmmm

On Channel9 it was a mess, especially if i had it running in the background so i could listen while doing other things.
Running the stream through VLC's sorted it for me but looking above it seems YMMV whatever you try.

Don't know if I blame them. The way this thing is structured makes no sense and I don't even know why Microsoft would invite consumer technology blogs like The Verge to this... or at least to this portion of the event.

This seems more like what the day 2 presentation is usually like. I hate the Verge as much as anyone, but this presentation is oddly paced and going to be off-putting to consumers compared to previous years of build day 1 that focused more on Windows/phone features and applications.

This is way too technical for a wide audience and going to lose most people before they even get to the stuff that would be interesting to consumers. I understand it's a developer conference and that's what the sessions all week are for, but they're bringing in a lot of consumers with the social media advertising of the event. It would be better to mix the technical and consumer stuff to keep people tuned in than to go 100% technical and enterprise oriented.

The segments are in order of how much money they now make Microsoft :-)

Sure, but don't expect a big social media audience and lots of blog coverage for your Build announcements next year.

I know why they invite the verge. There's news at this event, even though there's a lot of stuff not really in toms wheel house. He just needs find a way to deal with it, build isn't a new key note.

I now have it on Media Player Classic. It works flawlessly, but the resolution is terrible.

Can you get rid of that design in the top right of office apps? Aside from that I really like the way Office is looking
