Episode was insane. Grodd isn't even close to the height of his powers or intelligence so there's a lot more of him to come. The more they use him the better the CGI will get. And Clancy Brown speaking like Grodd was so good. I'm guessing that Barry's helmet was a shout out to Grodd's helmet?

Next week will be hype too. Remember
Captain Cold and Weather Wizard are back as well.

Ompaoisndfpoanf the fucking
RING

The gifs from next week will be amazing.

Anyway, this episode was dope as usual. They fucking did Grodd in Season 1, and did him right. I can't even imagine what'll happen next year.

Iris easily continues to be the worst part of flash, but beyond that the episode was still enjoyable. Can't wait until next week.

The sad thing was I was really happy with how
the Iris thing went down in the first scene. really unhappy with the second scene... and unhappy scenes 3-100 existed :/ (I am exaggerating the number but good god we didn't need nearly that much iris.)

Maybe Barry runs on a treadmill to power the lab

Or the money is just coming out of the bank account of wells.

I thought the way she reacted was fine. The stress of eddie being taken and then her father would cause her to be all over the place which explains why she seemed to get madder as it went on. Seems like they've pretty much settled it now though so It probably won't be much of a factor going forward.

I could likely logic out reasons she was fine, but I don't like her character in general and thus just wanted her to shut the hell up.

It's a real shame that the main love interest is someone I likely wouldn't wish upon my enemies. Barry has come across a number of legitimately great girls, and instead he is hooked on a girl that wouldn't feel out of place as a tsundare in an anime launching people around into space when she randomly gets mad :/

I'm hoping this episode was basically a Legend of Korra move, with lots of BS involving the character, but after words she is suddenly fixed of her mental problems that make her randomly rage for the sake of drama. As I also wouldn't have wished early Korra on my enemies, but she was alright by the end of the series.

The show is great but when is barry gonna stop being such a bitch? Everyone kick his ass, i wish there was an episode that barry just owns everyone, does he even get to be faster than the reverse flash at any point?

Jesus, Wells went in on Eddie this week. And it looks like Barry & Iris will be together by the end of the season.

But my god, that promo.

Is wells wearing eyeshadow?
All actors (myself included) wear make-up while performing. The lights that are put on them (even in the dark) makes one's skin look washed-out without make-up. Maybe the make-up artist put too much eyeshadow on Wells' actor, but it's necessary.

Thank goodness for this episode. I'm so glad Iris is in the loop now, and I felt like some of the dialogue was the writers trying to make amends for dragging it out so long.

My feelings as well. She is worse than Thea and Laurel combined

Da fuck is wrong with you people? I thought Iris was actually pretty great this episode, she actually did stuff and her reactions are mostly normal. I do find her chastising Barry a bit annoying, like girl he's trying to save your dad and your boyfriend while going up against a giant psychic gorilla, give a brother a break. But, given that she's just NOW finding about all of the myriad of lies that Joe and Barry have kept from her its understandable she'd want to vent. I LOL'd so hard when Joe was like "Wells killed your reporter friend" and she's like "wait, what?!" You know Joe was like "ahhh shit, totally forgot about that one as well." It reminds you the amount of lies they've been feeding her.

Just gonna drop this down. Feel free to quote it as the people who DVR the show come online:

You're kinda late, dude.

How can this show be this good?

When this show got announced during season 2 of arrow I didn't expect it to be anywhere near as good as it has been. The fact that we have a Flash tv show that's this good is something I never thought would happen. It's seems like it's going to get even better for the last two episodes and I can't wait.

You're kinda late, dude.

at least I am not trying to pretend it's not true :P
poor writing for the character aside I feel like Candice Patton is one of the weaker actors in the series as well.

It doesn't help that she is surrounded by great performances from people like Tom Cavanagh and Jesse L. Martin though.

I mean Jesse L. Martin's scared acting was the highlight of the episode for me. It really helped sell how terrifying grodd was.

My feelings as well. She is worse than Thea and Laurel combined

lol never. thea is the worst of them all. laurel's improved recently, but honestly I think Iris is the best of them all. her decisions are sometimes annoying but she acted completely rational in this episode.

her scenes made sense, the problem was that it was a drag.

Yeah I agree, I find Iris to be the worst character, and the whole love triangle to be very uninspired and tiring.

That said, great episode. Wells messing with Eddie was great, and Grodd was fucking terrifying.

As I said earlier when the scene dropped, this needed to be playing during that second scene with Eddie and Wells. Eobard just straight shit inside dude's soul. "You ain't shit. You ain't never gon be shit. You ain't never gon have shit. The Flash is gonna take your girl and youre gonna die alone. Now give Grammy Agnus back her ring....fuck boy."

It's pretty obvious Eddie is going to be the one to ultimately push Iris and Barry together. He'll basically pull a Linda, telling Iris to go be with the person she really wants. Though I still think that and the conversation with Eobard is the start of his slow descent to becoming the new Reverse Flash. Eddie is gonna want to be remembered for something.

OH SHIT GUYS THAT PROMO.
THEY USED THE RING.
PROTO JUSTICE LEAGUE.
Someone hold me.

I like how all of the Iris angry secret stuff was sorted out all in one episode. I was so worried they were going to pad the last two episodes with even more stupid drama, thank god this isn't Arrow.

Yeah no video for me either.
You're selling Arrow short.

...They would have padded it out for at least half a season.

Metahumans eatin good. LOL at DeathBolt being a vegan.

I love how they just kept tripping over themselves, revealing more lies.

I love Daredevil, I love Agents of Shield (lately), but Flash is so much more fun.

They did Grodd!

And it was amazing!

Clancy Brown's mind controlled "I am Grodd" might just be my favorite thing from any super hero show.

So good!

Urghh...setup/case of the week episode again. Hope the Wells thing picks up next week.

And 2 trains on the same track with few seconds gap? LOL

Grodd was so cool. Hope we see him closer to his jlu version next season.

I'm expecting Grodd to be a major player next season. Resolve the wells line this season and trigger flashpoint. Deal with flashpoint to start next season. Have the main story line of season 2 being about grodd getting revenge for his father. With the rogues gallery showing up for a number of eps as well.

The big question will be if TNT's Titans series will also be set in the arrowverse even though it's not on CW. If it is I imagine that the flash and the spin off will be the grounds to introduce most of the titans. If it's not it will beg the question if a character like Cyborg could show up in the flash.

I think they'll keep Grodd in sewers or at night to make the fx not looking cheap
Wait to subway train back to back that's kinda dangerous
Sucks no more wells in team tech now we have Iris.

Hard to really call it a villain of the week. We've been building to this since the pilot and grodd had a direct connection to wells.

Yeah...but his connection to him is irrelevant in the end.
This episode seems more like a setup for Grodd as future villains and Eiling as some sort of nemesis.

Perhaps but even still it really wasn't a case/villain of the week. A villain of the week episode is where the characters deal with a villain in one episode alone and then never deal with them again. Grodd will definitely be back again and Eiling will continue to make appearances every once in awhile.

Who's paying to keep the lights on at Star Labs now that Wells has left the building?

As we saw at the end of the episode Wells hasn't actually left the building he's just hiding out under the pipeline. I'm sure the money paying the bills is coming out of his bank account.

Do people really expect much of Grodd next season? He'll get an episode or 2, but there's a reason this episode was set in a dark sewer and frequently had him standing still.

I didn't really dig this episode much. Grodd's defeat was just weird. Iris is rightfully pissed about secrets and Barry shuts her down with "Well, in an alternate timeline you kissed me, our secrets are almost equal." And then he walks off and the show treats it like he has a point. Also the adult characters seem a bit too invested in the love triangle. Maybe not the time to bring up "well, if you weren't dating Eddie" Joe. Or Wells with Eddie.

Have they said if Eddie is a direct ancestor or just an some branch of the tree in relation to Eobard? Because screwing with the romantic timeline of your direct ancestor seems like a bad idea. Yeah, he doesn't end up with Iris, but now that he knows that, he might move on earlier and meet some other woman that's not the one he was supposed to. Though I think they'll either state he's not directly in the bloodline or that Eddie already had a kid he doesn't know about and kill him off in shocking fashion when everyone assumes Wells won't kill him.

Pretty much. Really overlooked because people just want more stuff to hate Iris for. It was just lie after lie being exposed, how else is she supposed to be react?

Also don't disrespect Iris by comparing her to Arrow female cast. Arrow has the worst written females of any show ever. They are/were all a joke except Mama Queen. She has a long way to go before she's even as bad as Huntress, who by Arrow standards is perfection.
