True GOAT.

Everyone is cheating all the time. You don't think the other 31 teams aren't thinking of new and exciting ways to cheat? In what facet of life do you actually get ahead by being honest?

I'm assuming Tom Brady will be punished by being forced to do a cameo in Ted 2.

As a Pats fan I'm clearly biased but I think this is what happened:

1) The Patriots footballs had been being over inflated past the usual 12.5 Brady likes.

2) Brady complains about it constantly telling the two people texting in the report to keep the psi as close to the lower legal limit as possible.

3) The two guys get pissed and don't do it as well or as often and Brady offers autographs/gear as incentive.

4) The under inflate them too much for the AFCCG and get caught.

It's good to know the organization had nothing to do with this, but the whole think seems really weird. Without knowing whether Brady actually asked for the footballs to be under 12.5 psi I can't really blame him for anything but ball tampering which is a 25k fine.

Pats fans will never believe that the Pats cheated but to anyone with a brain it was pretty obvious with how horribly Brady handled his press conference (also the way he talked about it after the game) and the way Belicheat threw him under the bus.

They could of gotten much more media attention if the NFL stated that they burned the footballs after the investigation.

Patriots still won, haters gonna hate, likers gonna like. A new season is a few months out.

Hi, I'm a Pats fan and i think Brady knew about the balls being deflated.

But it's not the Patriots cheating. The question is whether or not Brady actually asked that the balls be under 12.5 psi. I think it's fairly clear Brady knew the balls were being tampered with and that is unacceptable.

Maybe that question would have been answered if Brady cooperated with the investigation

I'm not a Pats fan and I don't think it matters. They won the games. It's like hating on Mayweather for using the rules against people and only fighting to win. Well, go beat him then.

The thing is Mayweather used the rules... the Patriots (Brady) BROKE the rules.

BTW, it does matter. Try throwing, catching a football with 3-4 PSI less than what it should be.

What kind of retarded league let the teams handle the ball?

The NFL should provide match ball and that's it. Handled by the officials. This should have never happened.

Back in the day the home team supplied both teams balls, including the special teams balls.

Just image the shit that happened back then.

So good he can't make the playoffs on a regular basis!
Thats what happens when you are not a cheating cunt.

Eli is such a straight arrow that he waiting an extra 3 years after getting married to lose his virginity. No way would he ever risk his reputation and honor by cheating like a stupid cunt.

I can :)

They could do like in baseball. If the QB doesn't like the ball, throw in on the side ask for another one in the let's say, 20 official game ball.

It's so simple I just can't understand why it's not the case already.

What is "probably cheated" - either they cheated or they didn't.

Is this the NFL's way of saying they didn't have enough evidence?

The NFL's timing is, as always, perfect

Well, at least everyone knows the Patriots cheated, even if once again Pats fans don't want to admit it

It seems like a lot of people have never heard of preponderance of evidence. More likely than not, probable, 51%. Civil court standard.

There's enough to say they were cheating. Excerpts I've read are pretty convincing from the report.

They still would've won, but doesn't matter. Cheating is cheating. I liked how Boston sportswriter Bob Ryan put it comparing the Patriots to Richard Nixon.

Patriots fans are really defensive it seems like. If I was a fan, I'd own the fact that they cheated but still be ecstatic about the super bowl.

QBs like to control their balls and pick them. So if you take that away QB's are going to be maaaaad.

but when he does... GET THE FUCK OUT THE WAY.

Vacate the SB??

Not everyone on the Pats knowingly cheated, just three dumb-asses including Brady.

McNally actually called himself "the Deflator" like he's some super spy or rank B villain. Haha!

Speaking of villains, the Patriots have surpassed super-villain tier in sports on some "This isn't even my final form" stuff.

Never a dull moment with my Patriots :)

This season is gonna be crazy. Time to tell Randy Moss to shake the rust off. Patriots Total Annihilation tour 2015 incoming :D

I think your head is pretty hard in the sand at this point.

It's their way of saying "Brady didn't co-operate, and we don't want to say that straight up and point out he was probably trying to hide the fact he knew they were cheating".

I am leaning more towards "they had no evidence". The report seems to be making assumptions that Brady knew, without any evidence (i.e. text messages, emails, etc).

I will clarify that i haven't read the report and did a quick glance of the executive summary. Though i can say one thing with certainty, Wells made a lot of money looking into the air pressure of footballls.
