Glad you think so considering we're down to 10 men after that bullshit red. We looked poor the first half, but were much better in the second until that call.

Losing to Brazil, who are a superior team, isn't the main issue for me. It's showing some effort, moving the ball, and generally looking competent that are lacking today.

Agreed. Have to show more...But I think this a common problem you go a goal down and it's hard to pick yourself up against the big teams. So many of the smaller teams forget to keep going...and play your game...

EDIT: I think you have enough quality coming through that it's probably time to appoint a true international coach, really develop this team. Say what you will about Capello, but England are definitely a better team now...with pretty much the same core players.

Ugh. Better effort towards the end, but it's just not enough. We'll never have a talent advantage in matches like this, so we need to play smarter and harder than the other team. Obviously, that didn't happen today.

oh come on there was plenty of good news out there for the American team. They have 358 days to fix their stupid rookie mistakes before the World Cup starts. If they play that that in the actual cup....

He's not off with that statement. My thing is that there's a big difference between being competitive and rolling over. Sure we need some luck to be in a game with the likes of Brazil/Italy, not many people dispute that.

Honestly, I didn't think anyone said anything too out of place in the football thread (except for that guy who got banned for that Munich remark). Or at least I don't read enough of it to notice. It'll be nice if Seep gets taken down though.
