Koji Igarashi Kickstarts Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night (2.5D, backdash, 2018)

The planned budget was not $500k, it was 5 million dollars.

The Kickstarter goals represent roughly 90% of the game's initial funding.

Wonder what happens if they're able to match or exceed the publishers planned contribution. Do they have an exit clause to self publish and go fully independent?

Oh, that's nice. Can you do me too? Pretty please?

You're the 100000000x person to reiterate this on GAF, we get it. The Vita has a tight knit community that supports the small amount of developer support the Vita recieves. Does it really bother that much if a developer puts a game on a system that isn't a success in the main stream market? And don't derail the damn thread bro.

Oh and the 3DS has a fuck ton of JRPG'S....
How am I derailing? People mention Vita, and I mention it as a commercial failure which would make a Vita port unjustified. I mean damn, you can Crossplay on Vita with a PS4 anyway, at this point who isn't getting a PS4?

Besides that's money they could better use adding more features and polish to the versions that have the best chance of selling, and that's PS4/XBO/PC. Just the fact it's UE4 tells you they'd have to spend a lot of money to port it to UE3 so Vita can even run the game. At that point there's no telling if the install base would justify the costs.

It's a simple game of basic economics. Even a Wii U version would be better justified. I'm not saying the Vita sucks or anything; just being a realist.

Later on if they want to do Vita or Wii U with their own money, let them. But for now they should narrow the initial platforms to the big sellers and go all out on making a quality game.

Wohoo,i just came back home and this is great news.
Wtf,do they really need another $400k just for cheat codes and local coop?

No they don't. This isn't how it works. The stretch goal is something they will add as a bonus. It's not a "this costs more than the last goal because it's how much development for it will cost".

If they are making handhelds version it's pretty obvious they are going to outsource them. They won't be developing 6 versions of the game by themselves. I can understand the waste of resources angle but the development dilution argument seems pointless when they won't be even developing it themselves.

I'm never getting a PS4 in my life.

Your username just reminded me of this one guy who was a super PS3 troll in a brazilian message board.

I can totally see it being you! Gotta double down!

Edit: Oh my God, he/you/whoever is still doing it like 5 years later in the same place. That's amazing.

Iga looks very uncomfortable watching this Symphony of the Night speedrun.

They are just pointing out all these bugs and glitches to him and breaking the game and destroying his honor.

Okay I don't kickstart, only done two but I wanted to ask.

I was thinking of getting the Ce plus the digital. However I want the sexy box art to not be ruined by awful console logo so is there a chance you can get a physical pic version and select download able PS4?

Wait, which SOTN speedrun did they do?

Was it the insta-ending glitch? or the Fairy Heart one?

Are you talking about SegaNet or something?

It's not me. There are some other Maedhros out there.

EDIT: Where's the stream guys? Swordorwhip website don't redirect me there...

IGA is one Zen dude. Was he always this humble and kind? I never noticed this side of him until he escaped Castle Konami.

He was always pretty chill.

I still remember the way Konqmi forced him to introduce LoS, love or hate the game seeing how they used Ida at E3 2010 was disgusting and painful.
