Witcher 3 Pre-load live on GOG Galaxy

Where? I have it on Gog and no OST.

It's in the library under the more tab/game extras if you're looking at the game itself on Galaxy. If you're on the website, it should be under the game in the library section in tiny text to the lower right hand portion of the drop down.

Not yet for me.

I think he means the full soundtrack and not just a few tracks. On that, I don't see a full soundtrack under mine either. I do see the exclusive tracks one though. Might just be miscommunication.

Yeah, I meant the full OST. A poster on the last page said it was out. Well, back to Youtube.

That is full, 35 tracks long, OST. Download e.g. that 200MB package and you have full OST as .MP3's.

They didn't change the name, it's the full soundtrack.

Galaxy gave me 0.1 MB/s down and now old downloader is giving me 1 MB/s down [throttled it to that]. One assumes they connect to same data servers in my region [Finland/EU], but maybe Galaxy uses some other servers that are over the capacity then.

I was getting 0.1 earlier today in Finland as well, but now I'm getting 5-7 MB/s. Must've been something funky going on.

What's a good way to optimize my PC? Like dskcheck, registry clean? I just want to do whatever I can to make the game run without any issues (outside of hardware).

I got about 7MB straight from GOG earlier, which is about the max for the connection I'm on.

Anyway game is installed, had to do a bit of spring cleaning on my SDD but all good. Can't wait a week though, I am cry.

Although optimize probably isn't the right word, I'm a big fan of CCleaner.

Surprised it's only 24.8GB... My Witcher 2 install is 20GB!

For others who used Galaxy to pre-load. Did the client automatically delete the installer exes that it puts in the '!Downloads' folder? Mine seemed to retain both the installers and the unpacked files.

That size difference between TW2 and TW3, but where has ~10GB gone? System requirements are that out of date?

Edit: I can sentences

Not sure what's up with GOG Galaxy but it was slow as balls for me. Was only getting like 100 KB/s download. Got it from the website instead and that maxed my connection. I'm not paying for 150Mbit net for nothing :P

Now the long(er) wait begins.

Is that the installer size or the installed folder size?
PC system requirements tend to recommend more than the actual requirement for future content reservation.
I'm still downloading.

Both of those figures are when games are installed and ready to go, so installed folder size. TW3's installer even says all I'm missing is that small activation download.

For anyone about to pre-order from GOG...would you be willing to help me out and trade me a steam version for the GOG version instead?

I was struggling to find space to free up on my SSD until I discovered my adobe common media cache folder was around 20 gigs. I now have over 60 gigs free for the steam version. Hurray! What will I do about the future DLC? I will have to worry about that later.

I doubt expansions double size if the game so I'm surprised if that 60GB isn't enough.

Don't PC system requirements typically include buffer for page file usage? Never thought it was the exact installation size

This definitely used to be the case. Although, windows now reserves a pagefile in newer versions I think so I guess it doesn't matter anymore.

Anyone else having "Installation Failed" problems? My SSD has 90 GB free, but when I go to install, it tells me I'm out of space. NM...figured it out.

Doing this now but why is the website version only 21.95gb?

If we do it through Galaxy will we need to have that open to launch the game? Or will you have to do the various files from the site itself to not have to do that?

The Witcher 3 is DRM free, so both GOG Galaxy and Steam copies should launch without the respective services running. Think of them more as fancy downloaders, particularly for GOG Galaxy.

So did that tweet someone post amount to anything? Some people were saying it might be an early release or something.

I strongly doubt it but that would be super cool as it's killing me just sitting on the desktop. I neeeeed it.

I think that tweet was about preloads being available. I would've preferred an early release as well though!! Already booked days off work for the Witcher.
