Batman Arkham Knight free with new 970/980's

I bought a 970 in February from Amazon. Trying my luck with Amazon right now.

I pulled the trigger on a Asus 970 STRIX. The two pack in games was hard to pass on and my coworker is going to buy my GTX680 ($70?). Have the exact same 970s at work so I can always borrow one for the odd weekend to binge on some SLI Batman/GTA/Witcher.

I can't find anywhere on the product page where it says that you get the two pack in games.

i ordered an MSI, i mean i already took the plunge so im gonna stick with it, i waited and i waited and i waited for the ti announcement and it never came so if they announce it and i can still return my card to amazon to get the other one than fine, if not, whatever, i only game at 1080p so i think the 980 should do me fine for a few years before completely upgrading all my system

There's definitely no harm in trying!

I just got $75 refund today on my GTX G1 970 from Amazon which I purchased around 6weeks ago. I asked for a Batman Code but they couldn't give it to me because I had to buy the Amazon version and get credit back and that required a U.S billing address. So they gave me a refund instead.

This coupled with the 20% discount for the 3.5gb Ramgate thing, means I effectively got the GTX 970 for $200 plus Witcher 3.

I'm expecting them to stop these refunds soon, because its kind of ridiculous. I guess it helps them keep customers.

(also I didn't really want Batman either... haha.. so this is even more amazing.)
 
So just to be sure, you're only eligible for Arkham Knight if you've bought a 970/980 on May 5th and later, right? Sucks, because a friend of mine bought his on April 28th and the retailer won't budge an inch, haha. Anyway, at least The Witcher 3 is a go.
 
Bought my G1 970 from Hardware Versand on April 15th, emailed them on Tuesday, got the codes for both Witcher 3 and Arkham Knight yesterday. RESULT!

Witcher 3 pre-load completed and everything, MY BODY IS READY:

It probably helps that I ordered basically a whole rig from them and was waiting three weeks for my case.
 
I wanna say thanks for this thread. I ordered before Arkham Knight sweetened the GTX 970 deals, but fortunately Newegg gave it to me no questions asked. I ordered in mid-April, and all it took was one email to set things right.

If you ordered in April it's worth asking. Because of shipping times and such, it can be a pretty narrow miss as far as the promotion is concerned. Custom service people should be sympathetic, doubly so when it comes to such large purchases.

It would be an immense hassle to return & reorder the same product for such easily-fixed benefits. No one on either side wants to do that.
 
Bought mine last night. Guess I didn't plan this properly since I was hoping to get the codes in 24-48 hours. Hopefully they'll send one my way before Tuesday!
 
I don't like to break $200 on a GPU but this is seriously tempting. Is there some catch? Like the 970 being weaker than a card typically in its price range?

It's actually the opposite. The 970 has more value than most midrange nvidia releases. The card performs pretty damn great.
 
Is the coil whine in the EVGA ones that bad? The Super Clocked one is now 15 bucks cheaper than the MSI one on Amazon and I'm wondering if I should just spend the extra money on the MSI one since I'll probably be ordering one tomorrow.

My card has no coil whine... Except earlier when I started up The Witcher and it was rendering upto and over 3,000FPS after starting. Went away after I exited the game and forced vsync through the NV control panel before starting it back up. Always find it odd when games don't have that option without needing to do that. Also, I imagine many of the complaints about it have stemmed from similar issues.
 
I've always wondered how much Nvidia forks over to these publishers for these exclusive codes. Its gotta be a hefty margin.

Anyone know if Newegg will send me a code for Batman if I bought it just before they included it in the bundle w/ the GTX970? Kind of bummed I missed out on that free game (along w/ TW3) by about 2 weeks.

A lot of people want to know this, but I haven't been able to find an actual answer anywhere. It will probably be a case of waiting until the game actually releases and seeing.
 
So tempted by this. I currently have a 7850 and only game at 1080p. Would a 970 be overkill for me? And exactly which 970 card is recommended?

Not at all at 1080p, it seems one of the more popular ones is the Gigabyte G1 model and several here have MSI and other brands. I have the revised EVGA SSC and have had no complaints so far. Do a quick look around on impressions and prices.

$150 might be a good starting point.
 
EVGA GTX 970 SSC for $328.99 with promo code EMCASNT43 and $313.99 after the annoyance of a rebate. Also a Gigabyte 980 for $513.49 after a $20 rebate.

I contacted amazon since I bought my card in April and it was within the 90 return period. They straight up no hassle gave me the code since it currently applies as a promo to my card. Fucking sweet witcher 3 and batman with the card now.
 
Sorry for the kind of old bump, but I saw a couple other people wondering about the Harley Quinn preorder dlc too. I have never gotten a code like this before, so I didnt know if it was going to come with the preorder dlc. I contacted NVidia and they said it does not. Went back and got in touch with another customer service rep afterward to make sure, and they also said it does not come with it.

Strange how nvidia's site is still advertising The Witcher + Batman, while most sites are just advertising Batman.

I'm buying a 970 tomorrow so I guess I'll find out which it actually is.

Does anyone happen to know if the Nvidia free game code of Batman Arkham Knight includes harley quinn DLC or is it just the barebones game?

So which uk online retailers in the UK give you the batman one?

Unless the fuji pro is around 400 pound I'll probably be getting a MIS or G1 gaming 970 next week.
