Nope and I don't think it will until either there's another huge jump in core efficiency or developers start pushing and requiring more cores. It also helps that Sony and MS put such a weak CPU in their consoles.
I'm in same boat CPU wise, but I have OC'd mine to 3.8GHz. Based on this bench I'm very interested to see what happens come Tuesday night :b
Off-topic slightly, but GOG currently offers me a download split into 7 parts for this game. Is there some easier way of downloading it?
Use the GOG Galaxy client.
I have a 760. I'm gonna have to live with a 30fps lock aren't I.
My PC is ready. Barely.Nvidia said:2560x1440, Uber settings w/ GameWorks GTX TITAN X, or 2-Way SLI GTX 970
Think of it as a $100 price cut already.I currently have a GTX 680 but I'm so tempted to order a GTX 970 now. I get a bonus in a month's time and there's talk of price cuts around then too so it would make sense to wait ... but I could put it on my credit card now and be playing The Witcher 3 "properly" if I bought the 970 now ....
Also I want Arkham Knight too, so even with a price cut, I'd still have bought TW3 and AK anyway so not sure how much a price cut would affect me.

How to lock framerate to 30 with 270X?

Looking forward to hear your thoughts on performance! I do feel slightly creepy though, now that I added your profile to my favorites bar. It will be kinda amazing if my 2009 rig still got some fight in it for a graphical powerhouse 6 years later.
If you have MSI Afterburner you could limit the framerate with RivaTuner. alternatively a half refresh rate lock would also suffice which is done with VSYNC.
Still no word on new nvidia driver?
GTX 660 here. Hopefully I can do 1080p30FPS high-ultra settings without too much of a problem.
I had a deal 1 GTX 980 MSI 560 2 GTX 980 MSI 860 , so now i feel a little bit less stupid for my overpowered and unneeded GPU.
Hope for a game that has not the same problem with saves as there was in the witcher 2
which saves problem in tw2? THe crashing or something else?
The fact that by the end of the game, you had approximately 2^16 saves in your save folder.

when i had more than 14 saves, there was : intro video than main screen and load, the list of saves and than click ------> CRASH ahahahaha but no problem i solved the problem using another folder for most of saves and i disabled the AUTOSAVE
i don't know if someone remember but the witcher 2 made a saves folder of 500 MB in 7 hours of game......

A 960 is very similar to a 680 correct?
So I should be able to play it at 1920x1080 on High settings? If so, great.
Any recommendations on where to get this game at a good price?
This weekend I'll be going from a 770 to a 980.
Let's see if that improves my performance any.
Am I the only one who would prefer running hairworks to max AA?
It's an upgrade, but it's a minor one. I recommend waiting for the next generation of cards, or at least the rumored 980ti. I mean, I love my 980, but I upgraded from a 680. I'd probably wait if I had a 770.
I have a 970 and 16 gigs of RAM.
Also I have an 8320.
It's the 8320 that's gonna get me, isn't it?
