Weirdly, I thought that
Paragonsky
was dead, for some reason. Still, there's lots of upsides. It diminishes the Spartan-II program, which she hates, it allows them to disavow the Chief, who has become something of a liability, and it allows her to clean house of those high-rankers you alluded to.

Then it all depends on what chief has done.

Well, we know that he's gone... not exactly AWOL, but a little bit rogue; he's going on missions with Blue Team despite having no orders one way or the other. Just bouncing from problem to problem, without paying any real attention to the chain of command. It's alluded to in one of the HtT episodes, apparently there's a certain amount of resentment building among the common troops.

Has Paragonsky's death actually been mentioned yet? I don't recall that happening in the Kilo Five novels. Serin takes over, but I don't recall the old git croaking.

Edit:

Just checked. She's not dead yet. Where she is currently is not specifically mentioned, but she was the person who requested Halsey's help when the Forerunner artifact was brought onto Infinity during Spartan Ops, but this happened off-screen.

So I have listened to a few of these but does anyone want to briefly summarise anything interesting in this that may feature in the Halo 5 story? Halsey/Jul/Janus Key etc?

Oh and what are we leading up to in this episode that has everyone so excited?

Thanks

"And once you're in... Go right for the throat."
