Well well well, what's this, then? Looks like the Infinity.
And also a tree, but I get the feeling the Infinity is going to be more important.
Decided to give the audio recordings a go... and damn, they are so good.
My prediction on what will be in the next episode:pivotal-ness
Honestly, I think the Hunt the Truth ARG is the best marketing for a Halo game that has been done in the entire franchise. I've never been so riveted by an audio drama before.
What is iLoveBees?
Also a really good ARG. But this is butter.
No, better.
Wait, I'll stick with butter.

They're a bit different though. You should probably look into just how big the communities involvement and excitement was around ilovebees before saying that.
Glad you're enjoying this ARG though.

Just caught up on the Hunt the Truth audio episodes. God DAMN that is some great Voice acting. Good job to the writers too.

Yeah there's a big reason why I don't trust HF.
Looks like the Spartan on the cover of Halo Escalation #21 is the same Spartan (same color armor, similar shoulder pads, antena, same blue streaks, same foot design, etc.) as the one on Locke's team and I'd my money on it being Tanaka, which means the red one is Macer and the other one is Buck. That mirrors Blue Team in that both teams have 2 males and 2 females.

Hunt the truth isn't really an ARG, it's far more traditional marketing (not counting hunt the signal). That said I can honestly say that Hunt the Truth is one of the best marketing campaigns I have ever seen (or listened to I guess). It's extremely well acted, directed and written. It's just very entertaining.
I'm more hyped for the next episode of Hunt the Truth than I am Game of Thrones. That's pretty damn impressive for what is essentially a predominately audio based ad campaign.
Well calling Hunt the Truth an ARG wasn't the best idea. Since it technically isn't. That caused me to immediately to jump to the conclusion that you were talking about Hunt the Signal. Which is not very good in my opinion.First, I don't think #HUNTtheTRUTH and #HUNTtheSIGNAL are the same, HTT isn't really an ARG as it is a media release.
ILB's was awesome, and was a good mix of ARG + media release.
I think the QUALITY of HTT is far above ILB (though I think that should be somewhat expected considering). I really enjoyed ILB's and thought the story was good, though I wish it'd ended up more pivotal in the story of Halo 2 (minor footnote really). HTT is shaping up to not only be exceptional quality wise, but really have true and lasting meaning in the Halo universe. It's also been wonderful seeing all the lore details come to light for people who may be unfamiliar with the books etc.
Regarding #HUNTtheSIGNAL.. I think HTS had a really rocky start. SEEMS like it got advertised before they had all their ducks in a row, and I wonder if some of the #Circuits shenanigans was to give them time to get everything else set.
Once we passed the #Circuits though? It's been FANTASTIC. Some of it is hard, for sure, but the lore info is delicious. They did a great job incorporating aspects of the Halo universe into the puzzles (post social media BS).
But anyway, I am really excited for Sunday.
Oh hey, I was right! I had initially predicted that one Spartan would be Tanaka because its "original" design (in the H2A opening cinematic) looked a lot more like Reach-era HAZOP, and considering Tanaka was Army (Reach Spartans worked alongside Army) and grew up in an inhospitable environment it made total sense to me.
I'm still putting my money on Romeo having some degree of involvement with Locke's squad, though.
Based on the ODST game and New Blood, he's such a bit character nothing of value will be lost. The guy that retired for family life was more fleshed out and interesting than Romeo.

I'm more worried about whether this batch of 343i characters will be better... executed/implemented than their first go about.
I hope they gave the feedback to del Rio and Palmer some serious thought.
They should kill off Palmer. She's no Johnson.
I'd rather see her developed and fleshed out that killed. It'd be a waste of a great voice actress also (though she's already the VA for another character in HtT).

I absolutely love Hunt The Truth though. That's the shit. I could listen to those all day.

Anyone else think M'shak may not be human? His general weirdness makes me think his space jargon may actually be due to an imperfect translator, not to mention his name and connections. I could see him being a Jackal.

I was thinking an AI. But that's an interesting possibility.
What did he do, Frankie?!
Ah fuck....

I've not been following this thread super closely so I think a bit behind.Shit's about to get real up in here. Up until now, we've been covering old ground. Covering it very well, mind you, but still, the details of the Spartan program aren't exactly a mystery.
Now? Now the real fun begins.
If I'm right about FERO=Serina Osman and M'Shak = BB, this is where the real misinformation campaign begins. Everything up until now was done to get Ben to trust this new, totally anonymous source implicitly.

Who is Serina Osman? And what do you mean by M'Shak being "BB"?
Really like the misinformation theory though, I never thought of that. Now I'm gonna doubt everything.

Both characters are from Glasslands. Osman is supposed to be the head of ONI. Black Box is an ONI AI.

I doubt FERO=Osman. Why would she do this? She adores Parangosky, doing this would only do harm to her, because Spartan II project was authorised by her after all. Not to mention that Osman just gets promoted to admiral and there are many ONI high rankers wanna bring her down.
