I was just thinking of how I was so angry at post-Brand New Day Spidey and MJ, but now that Silk and Spider-Gwen especially exist, I'm kind of like...done with MJ...
Oh don't worry Spider-Gwen will be back in her own dimension soon enough

As for Silk

She has the hots for Johnny Storm. Oh wait, that won't last long lol.

Slott had to ruin MJ becuz reasons. I liked her during Spider-Island

Hated One More Day, but honestly I prefer single Spider-Man. It's more fun.
Chameleon: "This Parker guy is basicly surrounded by beautiful, young and single women in his personal life. And yet he still lives with his elderly aunt!!??"

Only interested in Planet Hulk, which I thought was a Pretty enjoyable. Like the way Greenland was put together with different kingdoms and hulks. The backup story was interesting wonder if it will figure into the main story.
I don't won't to assume but is this Steve gay? I just got that vide between him and Bucky.

I also picked up A-Force, which was kind of okay. It felt kinda of clinical in way characters talked. I never felt this was She-Hulk taking but a someone giving out exposition. I like America though, she was cool.
Good thing I'm interested int that Siege book.

What Slott did to
MJ
is nothing compared to
what he did to Black Cat. Yet another dumb Spider-Man decision that I'm patiently waiting for them to retcon or at least turn back to status quo.

Legit did not expect Deadpool's Secret Secret Wars to be among the best SW books.

Ultimate End was......wut, what is going on here?

....bendis.

im suprised noone is talking about the shang chi book. its honestly a lot better than i thought it would be, and definetely one of the multiverses i hope they keep around. planet hulk has that potential that i thought it would. pretty hilarious/fucked origins though

Y'mean The Master of Exposition in the Realm of Exposition because Exposition?

Promissing start, yeah.

Ha, true dat. Her return to full on crime on whatnot makes no sense at all.

the weaving in and out of both how the original SW was in fact so stupid (as someone who was a 9 year old kid who gladly lapped it up at the time) along with how it relates to this SW..

not to mention funny as hell.

Bonus Contest of Champions bit at the end was awesome as well.

Will also probably grab Battleworld and A-Force at some point.. maybe tonight or tomorrow. Would have probably read them on lunch except I forgot my iPad at home, so I had to read Deadpool on my phone (and was worth every annoying second of Guided mode)

I honestly just missed that it came out. I'll buy it from Comixology in a bit.

I tend not to trash Bendis as hard as I used to (I'm an old school Avengers fan, so Dissembled till I'd say not too long before Civil War New Avengers was a rough time).

But wow, Ultimate End #1 was horrible. Only the Spidey/New Ultimates convo was decent. What a waste of the 616/Ultimate Manhattan mixture.

Spidey-Verse was pretty fun, as was Master of Kung Fu, and A-Force was choppy.

It's a shame that the titles I wasn't as interested in (Deadpool, Planet Hulk) were some of the better ones. Definitely would have traded Ultimate End for one of them.

Also, "Before Time Runs Out" is a frontrunner for most disappointing story arc.

Yeah it's really rough. I regret getting them all on a whim. Likely won't even finish them.

I haven't read her solo comic, but, as written by Slott, in Amazing I thought Silk was a terrible character.

This to a tee. Her introduction was terrible and reeked of being a Mary Sue made by Slott. It was as if Slott was trying to yell SILK IS AWESOME YOU LIKE SILK NOW ALSO PETER DOES TOO. Having her and Peter suddenly want to screw each other's brains out (and apparently doing so) because of "pheromones" was awful and demeaning.

Apparently her solo series has been much better, but I've been sour on her since day one.

Today I picked up Guardians #27, Planet Hulk,Ultimate End, Uncanny X-Men, Deadpool's Secret Secret Wars and Spider-Verse.

Okay so the tie-ins for Secret Wars are all occurring in Battleworld, a multiversal amalgamation that all of its inhabitants just seem to exist in and know nothing else. That makes sense. So the main Secret Wars titles will be the survivors figuring out what to do outside of the multiverse? Convoluted isn't even the word.

Standouts of today were Deadpool, Planet Hulk and Spider-Verse. Bring on Old Man Logan!

Think all these will be collected in trades? Buying single issues is just too expensive for me but I really love collecting trades. I'd want Planet Hulk, Weirdworld, Spider-Island (cause covers make it look like an Agent Venom book), Carol Corps, Future Imperfect, E is for Extinction, M.O.D.O.K. Assassin, Where Monsters Dwell, Squadron Sinister, Ghost Racers, Inhumans, Korvac Saga, Old Man Logan, and Thors. Obviously buying those as single issues with bankrupt even the wealthiest of men. Buying them as trades is a cost as I can accept, though.

I'm for sure buying the main series issue by issue and considering it for Korvac Saga and Ghost Racers, but I'm not getting any of those others without trades.

Looking over that list just makes me lol at people who say Marvel is dropping mutants. There are twelve mutant books for this event.

Didn't read it. Asking for your take.

Ah sorry.
Have you been reading Loki: AoA?
It's a bunch of craziness involving Loki, future "King" Loki, Odin and Freyja and a girl who can detect bullshit right off the bat.
Throw in the final incursion and it's off the hook.

Good art, good story and it's everything anyone ever wanted when it comes to a former villain trying to find redemption.

I digress, this issue was bonkers.
King Loki's scheme is trying to save himself while he attacks Asgardia with the world serpent and Hel's army. Last page shows Odin and Freyja with a minigun and two assault rifles (respectively) ordering all of the Asgardians to prepare to die like gods. Current Loki himself ponders what to do while changing in to Lady Loki once more.
Pure comic madness. It's great.

Bought every tie in except Loki, only because I haven't been reading it.

I'm part of the problem.

I love everything Secret Wars.

Ultimate End was decent, but this issue was mostly setup. I don't really think there were any bad books this week going by what I read.

I checked out all the SW books (except for the last Days issues) and I think I liked A-Force, Planet Hulk and Battleworld the most. Ultimate End wasn't what I expected it to be (for some reason I had gotten the impression that it would be a last days sort of book for the Ultimate Universe) but was still ok.

So, for people who read Battleworld, is it worth picking up? I kinda looked at it like a bunch of one-shot mashups that might be fun, but not really provide much worldbuilding or important character stuff (and thus could be left alone until it comes out on Marvel Unlimited).

Only one issue so far-but it's basically that. The first issue is 2 stories:

Punisher+Dr. Strange
MODOK

I thought the first was great and the second was bad. They are very short though so it's tough to build a very compelling story.

Nice.

That's what I mean. I like that there's someone out there that he can connect with (gwen) and someone out there that's fighting her pheromones to bang him. Plus someone who's madly in love with him and was once in a relationship he had no idea about (anna maria), a former love interest who's gone nuts (black cat) and a bunch of other female characters like Carlie.

He's got a nice pool of love interests. He could have his own manga.

She has the hots for Johnny Storm. Oh wait, that won't last long lol.

Yeah, not even (post secret wars spoiler)
8 months since he and Medusa are an item now.

A-Force was sooo good. I love the world, the art, like everything basically. Only con is that I feel like it ended right as it was picking up steam. I don't wanna wait a month for #2. :'(

I liked Planet Hulk, Deadpool, and Spider-verse. I am not too sure on A-Force but it feels like it has potential.

I did not like Battleworld. It was just too short for two stories and the second one was not good.
The Spider-M.O.D.O.K web slinging action was funny. Dat thwip.
