So do we know what all these books are in relation to the main secret wars story yet?

LOL: The Issue.Legit did not expect Deadpool's Secret Secret Wars to be among the best SW books.
But dat Gwen line at the cemetery /sogoodI really dislike Spiderverse. The art was atrocious.
...I want to take care of my wallet man; don't do this to me! >_P<Battleworld #1: The Punisher possessed by Dr. Strange.

Multiverse MODOKs.

Magical
I laughed for an entire minute or two. Jesus lord almighty.

Everyone everywhere is confused about Ultimate End. Bendis pls.
And speaking of here's an Old Man Logan preview.
Ha, true dat. Her return to full on crime on whatnot makes no sense at all.
Yeah, I want to hope that the confusion will get resolved as an actual plot point, but at this point, I place even odds on it just being bendis being bendis and forgetting about the mindwipe
Ah sorry.
Have you been reading Loki: AoA?Throw in the final incursion and it's off the hook. It's a bunch of craziness involving Loki, future "King" Loki, Odin and Freyja and a girl who can detect bullshit right off the bat.
Good art, good story and it's everything anyone ever wanted when it comes to a former villain trying to find redemption.
I digress, this issue was bonkers.Pure comic madness. It's great.King Loki's scheme is trying to save himself while he attacks Asgardia with the world serpent and Hel's army. Last page shows Odin and Freyja with a minigun and two assault rifles (respectively) ordering all of the Asgardians to prepare to die like gods. Current Loki himself ponders what to do while changing in to Lady Loki once more.
I'm still confused about the 616 counterparts; is it Doc Green?
Btw, the Old Man Logan preview seems cool.
Maybe it's just the fact that I read Multiversity right before starting Secret Wars and I wanted a whole lot more of the depth provided by that series than the silly nonsense meanderings we're getting so far. While it's cool in a sort of "What if?" kind of way to see these characters and settings mashed up in this fashion, it's also just not had any of the weight or gravitas I would expect from such a universe ending Event.
Yeah I thought I heard that in the Hulk tie inDoc Green was in Greenland?
I don't think it can be their 616 counterparts. Wouldn't 616 Peter have already known about everyone in UU knowing his identity from his visit in Spider-Men?I'm still confused about the 616 counterparts; is it Doc Green?

Wat??
Araujo rules the school. Otomo meets milligillianolis
Then again, it's also possible the tie-ins might take place at different times in the continuity.
i dont think so. the thors are sticklers for the rules.
If not him, is that not what editors are for?Do you actually expect Bendis to remember some random story he wrote years ago?!?
Well, Peter Parker was also supposed to be on the raft, so wasn't there a theory running around that Doom might have replaced a bunch of them?

Spidey is being vague on this as well; he opens up with a variation of his first line in Spider-Men (I used to love this city, while in Spider-Men he started with "I love this city") but reading his dialogue, it doesn't really mean he forgot about his first visit to the ulitmate universe. He still seems amazed about a lot of stuff and generally just peeved about how everyone knows about his identity.I don't think it can be their 616 counterparts. Wouldn't 616 Peter have already known about everyone in UU knowing his identity from his visit in Spider-Men?
The way I see it is every character in every domain, including all of Manhattan, is a unique entity unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Both sets of life raft survivors are also unique from all others in Battleworld.
Cyclops, Spider-man, and Iron Man in Manhattan are copies or whatever because whoever/however Battleworld was created didn't factor in there being actual survivors of the end.
What I don't get is where this portal they opened came from? I mean there is no multiverse anymore, just battleword, so what was this portal that Ultimate Tony opened up?
Ultimate End feels like someone gave Bendis a very loose outline of what Secrets Was going to be, he hand waved it off with a 'Yea yea yea, I get it' and then just wrote whatever the fuck he felt like.

You read a Grant Morrison book expecting something similar from a Hickman book? Well, that was your first problem.
Because they're good stories. I understand wanting a bit more levity with the tie in books but honestly Hickman has been serving that up in his books for years now. Personally I'm enjoying the atmosphere of most of these books so far.Yeah, I am just not familiar with this Hickman fellow. But I am not really talking about the main Secret Wars books, which actually did have at least a little weight to them. I'm mainly talking about all the tie-in issues this week that didn't seem to do much else beyond give some bits of silly fanservice (or in the case of Ultimate End, make no sense within the continuity of Secret Wars itself).
I guess the Age of Apocalypse comparison is more valid than Multiversity though that series was fresh in my mind when I went into this week's Secret Wars issues. Still, even Age of Apocalypse took itself much more seriously than these comics this week did. Everything seemed to be part of a gag, a tongue-in-cheek reference to different aspects of either Marvel Universe without really touching on why any of this is supposed to matter. It all just felt so light and lacking in impact that I kept wondering why we were really supposed to get invested in these stories.

It reminds me of Elektro in Amazing Spiderman 2. Not a good look.
They're just stories that take place either right before the final incursion or different parts of Battleworld.
Like to the main plot or how it's related in any way?
Is Battleworld something that was created after the last incursion?
I guess that's the most logical take on it.The way I see it is every character in every domain, including all of Manhattan, is a unique entity unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Could they be the hero's from the regency? Spiderman mentioned he had a family he needed to get back to. Could the regency just be a place where brand new day never happened?

I think the portal was between the 616 and 1610 halves of Manhattan. It's against Doom's law to cross between domains unless permitted. That is if they actually are unique domains even though they are on the same floating island or whatever it is.
"Doom knows" refers to the fact that Doom and the Thorps found out. Fury's meeting was about the potential fallout.
looking at the battleword map there's definitely some sort of divider between 616 and ultimate.
So yeah they probably weren't meant to mix and then Tony screwed up with that portal.
It did it a very poor job of explaining that if it's the case, they're talking like they opened up a new universe

I think the pic of the city makes it even more confusing cause it looks like like they just jumbled up new york frm 616 and ultimate.
