Most of them do, they all just wish he'd stop with the jokes. Well maybe Luke Cage doesn't look forward to him just dropping by unannounced, but that's because Jessica Jones used to have a thing for Pete. Also he's like the 5th member of the Fantastic Four.

Basically this. That chapter was so good.
Ha yeah, I know he's like Johnny's superhero bff, the FF likes him, it took a while but eventually Wolverine learned to appreciate him as well; but I see a lot of other heroes just disliking the guy as well; in Spidey and the X-Men for a more recent example the entire school staff seemed to totally hate the guy.

Btw, where is the Wolverine page from? Looks like something I would dig.

Amazing Spider-Man Vol. 3 felt like it was just killing time between events. The early issues were building up to Spider-Verse. And the post-SV issues seemed like complete fluff. It's hard to care about the Parker Industries stuff when Peter himself doesn't care about it.

I don't know what to expect from the title after Secret Wars and Renew Your Vows. But hopefully the book will have some direction beyond "the next event."

Everybody loves Spiderman, they just want him to shut up once in a while. Except the Wrecking Crew, they once had a group cry over Spiderman.

This week's tie ins:

Inferno #1
Infinity Guantlet #1
Inhumans Attilan Rising #1
MODOK Assassin #1
Old Man Logan #1
Secret Wars 2099 #1
Secret Wars Journal #1
Where Monsters Dwell #1

I will at least check out Inferno, Infinity Guantlet, and Oldman Logan. We'll see about the others.

Where Monsters Dwell and Infinity Gauntlet for me.

Will pick up a lot of the tie-ins in trade format for sure, but I want to check out the #1s I'm interested in so I can at least see what the setup is like. Old Man Logan, MODOK, 2099 and Inhumans are sure-buys for me.

This is one event where I'm interested in most of the tie-ins. Good on Marvel.

All of them. Even 2099.

I still think Kyle got broken too quickly in Sinestro Corps Wars. But, it was a great way to show that shit was getting real. And then they have that last page showing you just how fucked the GL corps really are.

I also look at it as Geoff Johns taking Kyle down a peg because he can't have another lantern being better than Hal at anything. I got really annoyed at the "Hal Jordan is the most special and greatest Lantern ever" shit towards the end of Blackest Night.

god, i call this alex ross syndrome

also time to catch up on last week's books!

Y'mean that mini where the whole school ended up loving him right quick?

But at first they hated him! Especially Rachel lol.

Rachel and Storm did not like him. Storm acknowledged the good he did, at the very least. I think Beast just saw him as a science rival (they did have a science-off that ended very badly), but Rachel...Rachel despised him. She was overly suspicious and didn't trust him at all. Storm wasn't fond because Logan went over her head, basically.

They did the same thing with Barry in The Flash Rebirth. They even have dialogue in the book pointing it out:

Rachel probably read his mind and found out he was picturing her naked or about having sex with her every time he looked at her.

She did eventually manage to read it. Uncovered his identity. No-Girl instantly wiped the knowledge out of her mind.

So Rachel got punked by one of his students. #feelsgood

What's the deal with Rachel, again? Alternate timeline child of Jean and Scott? I know they have a lot of those

Being a female telepath would be a nightmare let's be honest

All New x-men touches on this aswell since young Jean can't control her powers

I want this.
His daughter becomes Cap anyway in a different reality

Hehe, do any of the superheroes even like Pete? So many can't stand the guy.

What's this gif from?

Also, you guys mentioned the Geekbox podcast. Any other podcasts worth listening to?

As far as like, geek culture or comics? I can offer Giant Bomb and Super Best Friends, though neither of those talk about comics, and when the best friends do talk about comics (especially DC) and comic related things, I die a little inside.

Nerdist Writers' Panel is also pretty good. They have some comic writers on there every once in awhile. So are a couple of the hosts. They talk about comics and it's fun. Haven't listened in awhile though. Sort of dropped it. Couldn't keep up with the episodes.

Age of Doom is alright. Wish they had been a bit more creative with the end result of the incursions than yet another rehashing of "What if a bad guy ran the world" thing, but it's not bad or anything.

She's the original alternative-reality Summers child. The daughter of Jean and Scott from the Days of Future Past timeline. She went back in time because... I don't actually remember.

i think she was the Phoenix for the longest time without becoming evil.

Got an email from Amazon about Secret wars prelude. Will that cover everything in the op?

No. I think that is a collection of stories that tie into this Secret Wars in some way, but the build-up to secret wars was about 80 issues of Avengers, New Avengers, and Infinity comics.

New Avengers was more important than Avengers up until 8 months later if you are looking on cutting out some of that reading.

X-Men 92 has bland art-but the style and story is straight up first 12 issues of Claremont/Lee X-Men.
There's a play on the basketball and baseball games the team played and a homage to Gambit's "Bang you dead" moment to Wolvie.

Hearing good things about Infinity Gauntlet and MODOK.

MODOK is indeed amazing and a lot of fun.

Old Man Logan was surprisingly good too, given how much I disliked the original.

I had the X-Men theme song playing in my head as I was reading :D

Infinity Gauntlet and Old Man Logan are the top tie-in books this week. Infinity Gauntlet is just cool and Old Man Logan is not what I expected, but that doesn't really matter.

I always imagined a follow-up to Old Man Logan would be set 15 years into the future where Logan assembled a new team of Avengers, but this new set-up is great as well.

Edit: X-Men'92 is like straight up the animated series, love it! Twist ending made me go "Oooeeeeehhh"

Was wondering what that was about. Thanks for the clarification.

MODOK scares the living crap out of me, I could never read it. :o

No tie-ins for me this week, I just got Marvel Unlimited so I have SO MUCH to read already. Just read through all the Ms. Marvels up, next it's probably gonna be Captain Marvel and classic Fantastic Four and X-Men.
