Honestly, if it's not time-locked in some way I expect it to be like PT where players collaborate to unlock it by the first night waaaaaaay before the developers intended. I know I'm not even going to touch single player until I get to level 10, anyway.

I got a call from EBGames last night, but missed it. I'm not sure it could be for anything but this, but I assumed they would have called on Thursday about Splatoon being in. Has anyone gotten a call from EBGames Canada about Splatoon already?

Patch notes? We'll be lucky if they put on the website. Mostly fans have to figure out what's in Nintendo patches.

I think it is launch day in Japan. They're doing the stress testing for us so everything will run smooth for the rest of the world on Friday.

nope, I just went to the stores to check and they didn't have it. And if they did it would probably be 10+ EUR over the retail price like all their other Wii U games, heh

Awesome OT.
Can't wait to play tomorrow night, have the game preloaded and ready to go. Going to jump right into online as soon as it goes up. Added my NNID to the spreadsheet (I think I got it right, so used to seeing my mii's name I may have forgotten what it actually was), excited to see the GAF rooms that come up. MK8's rooms at launch was some of the most fun I've had in an online game in recent-ish memory, and really helped me get better at the game itself.
