Old Man Logan was pretty good. Really enjoyed it.

I liked her during Superior. Dunno how she was outside of that.
Carlie Cooper is like the ultimate placeholder girl in Pete's life.
I mean during Spider-Island in the end Spidey and MJ are enjoying each others company while Carlie is lying naked in the bushes with the rest of New York after being turned into giant spiders. She was that important.
Anna-Maria is somewhat different.

I think Anna Maria was likable to me since she was a positive influence and force in Otto's life as Superior Spider-Man. He was a dick, but he genuinely loved her and tried to be a better person because of it.
I like her as a character too, but it makes sense that she would be in love with Otto and not Peter now that she knows who was really inside Parker's brain at the time. Hopefully that isn't used to turn her evil because that's a lazy ass story.

She can be used to create tension with Peter, since he looks like the man she loves and Peter would probably not go after her romantically since he might think it is disrespectful to Otto.
I mean, Otto KILLED him, made out with Mary Jane, made Black Cat turn into a supervillain (dumb writing did that, but still), and did a whole bunch of other horrible things. But I guess Peter still wouldn't be that guy.

It wouldn't surprise me if a "newer" version of Otto will be back post Secret Wars.
Some villains or heroes will be reborn/rebooted anyway. I mean look at Spidey's cast; Otto is dead, Rhino is dead, Mysterio was imprisoned in the Ultimate universe, Silver Sable is dead... they'll be back one way or another.
Same goes if you look a bit further; Odinson and Wolverine will come back eventually as well.
But with MJ's current role in Slott's storyline I don't think so.

Honestly, I'll take it. I like Anna more than Carlie and Silk. I'll take a simple love triangle over the crazy editorial shit that's been fed to Peter Parker over the past, what, 15 years?
The thing I've enjoyed him in most recently is Spider-Man and the X-Men, and partially because it lets his character breathe from all the dumb shit he's been saddled with. You could have a rudimentary understanding of Spider-Man with little continuity knowledge and still enjoy that book.

Secret Wars Journal: "hey guys, what if we made kate bishop a ren faire thief with huge tits?". The second story is pure post-apoc egyptian x-men drek, bad art, worse dialogue. Skip
Inhumans: Attilan Rising: it's Soule, so it's readable. Got an unexpected surprise character in it. Massive cliffhanger ending. Worth a read.
Old Man Logan: is the best thing Bendis wrote in years. Yes, i know that that's not saying much nowadays. Legit good. Small setting, few characters, so he knocks it out of the park.
Secret Wars 2099: simply boring. Introduces the players, none are particularly interesting, cannon fodder enemies. Skip
Where Monsters Dwell: okay, now, pay attention: this thing is the closest Ennis has ever gotten to writing a Hitman sequel. High on non-cruel humor, low on ennis meanness. Well worth a read and absurdly promissing.
M.O.D.O.K. Assassin: i'd say that this is the week's hidden gem, were it not for Where Monsters Dwell. This is this week's Deadpool's Secret Secret Wars. Really good. Love moddie's mannerisms. Also who the heck is Baron Mordo?
Infinity Gauntlet: my word, the art on this is absolutely terrific and the setup's pretty damn good too. Read.

Age of Apocalypse was just a twinkle in it's daddy's eye when that story was in full swing.
So are can someone clarify something for me? Are any of the characters in Battleworld confirmed to be unaltered 616 or ultimate versions? Ultimate End really confused me. How did 616 Tony get to Manhattan? Is that 616 Banner, X-men, and Spidey? Why are they blaming Ultimate Tony for the universal overlap? They seem to be aware they're on Battleworld under Doom's control but it's unclear how much they remember of their past lives before the last incursion. They talk about returning to their respective dimensions but that doesn't make sense since neither exist anymore.
