So are can someone clarify something for me? Are any of the characters in Battleworld confirmed to be unaltered 616 or ultimate versions? Ultimate End really confused me. How did 616 Tony get to Manhattan? Is that 616 Banner, X-men, and Spidey? Why are they blaming Ultimate Tony for the universal overlap? They seem to be aware they're on Battleworld under Doom's control but it's unclear how much they remember of their past lives before the last incursion. They talk about returning to their respective dimensions but that doesn't make sense since neither exist anymore.

The only ones we know about so far are Doom, Strange, The Cabal, The Maker, and whoever caught a ride with Reed in the first issue. Everyone else is the Battleworld versions of those characters and Ultimate Tony broke Doom's rule about breaking the boundaries between domains.

Apparently everyone is a creation of Doom except for the people on the two lifeboats. But with Ultimate End I think they're originals from an earlier point in time before the incursion stuff.

So did Ms. America.

ignore that universal/dimensional overlap stuff it makes no sense.

Anyway everyone on Battleworld is a copy of some sort except for Doom, Strange, and the people that made it on the Arks.

Anyway as for Ultimate End, 616 and Ultimate are two seperate domains that aren't supposed to mix, lest you want Doom to kill/punish you. Ultimate Tony made a portal that somehow brought the 616 guys into the Ultimate domain and now everyone is scared because if Doom finds what happened, they're all screwed. Which is what happened when the Thors showed up.

Ah I see. Ultimate End showed a word for word flashback of a scene I first saw back during Spider-verse so it was really confusing.

yeah, I noticed that as well but couldn't remember for the life of me where I saw it originally.

the timeline here is REALLY strange.

So SW Infinity Gauntlet was really good
I wonder if that blue stone was the reality gem and she is literally making her wishes come true

MODOK, Infinity Gauntlet, Old Man Logan and Where Monsters Dwell are going to be special.

...and I'm going to be broke.

Damn, that's sad as hell.

So the only people permitted to cross domains are the Thors are presumably Barons and Baronesses that are called up to Doomstadt? I don't know, I didn't get that impression from the two mainline issues we've had of SW thus far. This world felt more fluid there (ex. warfare between Sinister and Braddock) than it has in the tie-ins. The more segregrated Battleworld is the less interesting imo.

I just learned that DC's big 'Convergence' event that ended today effectively (big spoilers for that event, although it's in the headline of tons of news sites)
undid all of the Crises since 1985, and reinstated all of the previous realities

It's so hilarious that that's happening right now, right as Marvel's Secret Wars are happening, crushing two realities into one and streamlining Marvel into one universe going forward.

Hopefully out of that, an ultimate universe will prevail.

Didn't know Andrea Sorrentino is now working for Marvel. His art is soooooo good

Anyone here read dc's convergence yet? How would u rate it without spoiling and how it compares l marvel's event so far?

I don't like waiting for the issues to slowly come out so I may wait until secret wars is finished before jumping back in. In the mean time I'll fill my time with dc's convergence (if it's decent)

Yep the fact that
she even said "it's like my greatest wish just came true" or whatever is a clear indicator. The look on Thanos' face as well.

And wow, Infinity Gauntlet #1 is a stunner. Beautiful art and character designs.

These Universe-resetting events happening in both Marvel and DC seem to happen with alarming frequency. Like if this shit is happening every 3-5 years...man, where is there even time for more mundane storylines? lol

Ultimate Spider-Man was an excellent fucking game. One of the few PS2 titles I still have and won't get rid of anytime soon, only because I know it won't wind up digital or remastered.

dc maybe, but not marvel

When was the last "universal reset"? House of M?

So yeah it's been awhile

I wouldn't even call that a universal reset. It was an event taking place in an alternate reality, which isn't unheard of at all for Marvel, but the end result wasn't any kind of reset, just an alteration to the status quo.

That's why I put it in quotes. It's about the closest we've gotten before this Secret Wars

I didn't even see this as it wasn't under the normal "new release" list on comixology. I just snagged it, it is an infinite comic for 1.99. I'm going to read it tomorrow.

The physical comic releases on the date in the OP. You can only get the "Infinite" version right now.

Why do we think people aren't allowed to cross domains? Is it a stability issue for Doom, like the whole thing might come apart?

Interaction facilitates a bigger, organized opposition. No sense in allowing that.

Then again, if Vic were a legit god, he'd have no reason to care about any of that.

Right now my main question is "why the fuck would Vic choose to recreate the infinity gems?", which obv indicates that he wasn't the one responsible for all the rules.

On a different note, i wanna hate Gabriel as much as you all do. What do i gotta read, War of Kings?

Don't deny the best Universe will pull through.

Think of all the great things that have come out of it.

Liiiike:

The inferior universe but one of the better Spider-Man games to come out in recent memory.

More focus needs to be put on making quality comic book Spidey games. I am getting tired of the movie tie-ins.

Won't happen for as long as Activision keeps producing them and giving Beenox a shoestring budget on very little turnout time. Dudes have shown that they love the character, but having to ride a film's free advertising wave is crushing them.

No wonder Shattered Dimensions was their only sorta decent product.

Fml, they put out Edge of Time one year after Shattered, and Amazing came one year after that. Small surprise that dudes are getting crushed.

I get that this applies to Battleworld, but does it apply to space as well? Mostly thinking of the Infinity Gauntlet tie-in wherein
there's a war happening in outer space, but does that affect all the sectors or does each sector have it's own galaxy?
