Been playing since wednesday, servers are already becoming unstable since the official release. I got ink not showing until 5 seconds later, players telefrag, a full lobby that never started the match. It's not too bad, but I expect conditions to worsen the further we'll get in the weekend honestly.

I also got an email from GAME a few hours ago telling me (I'm gonna paraphrase this) "Good news, your copy of Splatoon including Squid amiibo, Inkling Girl amiibo, and Inkling Boy amiibo has been reduced to £42.99. Happy gaming."
So if this means they actually do have some special editions left then that's great and all aside from the fact that I bought the special edition from Shopto as soon as they emailed me telling me the lorry had been stolen.

I hate how I have to get out of the lobby to check friend requests though. I have to miss a match to accept new friends, it's annoying.

I've only played a little bit of the singleplayer but I'm surprised at how much I enjoyed it.

I bit the bullet last night and got it from the e-Shop ... despite having the LE with the squid Amiibo ordered ... but that is out for delivery next monday, can't wait so long ...
Boy, this is one fun and fast shooter. I couldn't stop playing straight to Level 5, then the inner battle "just testing the new weapon" and then "well, going to check for some new gear" and finally "just one more match".
Given that Nintendo does not really have broad experience in this genre, that's one pleasant surprise! Can't wait for the DLCs, hoping they deliver great content.
How's the list going on for the EU players? Might add myself, playing with randoms can suck big time, at least sometimes.

Every time I felt like I had a handle on the roller I would miss a swing and die. Its going to take a long time to get really familiar with all of these weapons. I really like that and its why I don't think I'll get tired of the small amount of maps/modes we start with. Its something that I wish more people emphasized when talking about the content offered.

Glad to see people enjoy it. I always hate it when people get to much into hype and buy a game without knowing if they'll like it.
As for me it's is 4 AM Eastern and Target doesn't open for several hours. Don't think I can sleep (having trouble staying asleep more than three hours at a time).
Should probably finish Arkham Asylum.

Got up to level 8, and put some 3 star clothing on order that I saw a level 15 dude wearing in a match. Unfortunately I only get one per day, and I'm not sure when the day ends according to Splatoon.

3 people each from both teams suddenly disconnected and it turned into this weird 1v1. .....too bad the other guy was a roller and got most of the map before I noticed
