I figured it would be nice to continue the trend of having this topic each year.

I was way below my guess last year so this year I will say $1001 - $1500.
As always feel free to update as the year goes along!

Last year's thread: https://www.neogaf.com/threads/2025-track-your-spending.1679160/

Starting off with me (including tax):
  • Record of Lodoss War Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth ($12.17)
  • Tormented Souls ($5.39)
  • Ball X Pit ($12.98)
  • *PSN Subscription - Essential ($79.99)
  • Halls of Torment ($10.81)
  • TR-49 ($6.79)
  • Blasphemous ($6.75)
  • Another Crab's Treasure ($16.22)
  • Neva ($10.81)
  • AI Limit ($26.24)
  • Vampire: TM - Bloodlines 2 ($20)
  • Doom: The Dark Ages ($25)
Total thus far: $208.15

I don't want to face the reality, but given Valve's hardware coming out, I'm guessing $3k+

Think I'm probably going to get an ultrawide OLED monitor at the end of the year, so that will spike my spending related to gaming a bit. Also Steam Controller purchase for sure.

Otherwise, so far some small game purchases:
  • Miasma Chronicles - $1.49
  • Intravenous 2 - $1.59
  • Dome Keeper - $1.37
  • Monster Hunter Stories 1 - $8 ($16 bundle)
  • Monster Hunter Stories 2 - $8 ($16 bundle)
Total: $20.45

Nothing yet. 🏴‍☠️

Edit: I misread the title. Nothing yet but I will buy PS5 Pro and GTA VI when it releases so... 501-750 USD, I guess.

Forgot my PSN sub, so adding that. Also expecting the most purchases in the second half of the year.

I am not even going to guess but I do believe I will spend significantly less this year than previous years. I am already set with GF for the year (purchased in December) and I plan to do a lot more retro gaming (with games I already own). It might be for the best because I want to get some things done around the house that will eat into my wallet.

I choose 1-250 because I don't see myself buying more than 1-2 full price games this year, and my insane backlog has dozens of games already, many of which can be got for less than $10 on a sale now.

I'm also good on consoles/devices. If I bought anything then it will be to make a profit thus it won't count here.

Thanks for the new thread, OP. Last year I ended up spending a bit more than I expected, as I bought a new gaming PC, picked up the Switch 2, grabbed a bunch of games, and sank a fair bit into gacha mTX as well, which pushed my total to around €5,500.

This year I'm not expecting to go over €2,500 - €3,000 since I'm not planning on buying any new hardware, so it should mostly be games and F2P spending.

Written by someone who plans to try 3-4 new Gacha games in addition to the 3-4 he already has. You're an optimist, though. :messenger_tears_of_joy: :messenger_heart:
This year I'll try to balance it out by picking up more games for PS5‑kun, Switch 2‑kun, and PC‑kun instead of dumping too much into gachas. ;p

Yea Right GIF

We all want to believe it, but in fact it all falls apart at the first banner where you say - "Oh my God, just look at these Thighs" :messenger_tears_of_joy:
One of the reasons why I never like to make plans on purchases is because I have never been able to fit into them... not even once... I still don't know how my wife didn't beat me. :messenger_tears_of_joy:

Oof, I've already busted couple hundreds buying cool switch games and two retro handheld. I'm planning on getting a steam machine as well. But that's gonna be it. I won't be getting another pc any time soon and am done buying xbox and PS console.

PC, Switch and Retro/Mame is quite the combo.

Put 250 to 500 as there are 4 or 5 2026 releases that are day one for me this year.

Going to try not to buy any other games and concentrate on backlog

So far I haven't spent any money, January has been a terrible month. That being said, on February I might buy Nioh 3 depending of my mood, and 100% guarantee Resident Evil Requiem. So at least a 120 euros minimum

Bought Halls of Torment last night.

It's essentially Vampire Survivors with the classic Diablo art style/graphics.

So far, nothing, but planning out purchases for the year:
New releases:
- Ace Combat 8
- Fire Emblem Fortune's Weave
- Whatever else must have game that will release this year, probably will just ask for that for Christmas
Possible Sales Pickups:
- Octopath Traveller 0
- Metaphor Refantazio
- Trails in the Sky FC
Subscriptions:
- NSO ($20)
- PS+ ($80)

So I should hopefully be on the lower end of the $250-$500 scale.

So far only £5 on a smaller title for the boy.. but I have a massive list of games old and new that I will eventually get to. I'm being much stricter about finishing games before buying new ones which helps a little but last year I was way past £1000

Picked up a new game on steam called TR-49, which is an alternate history investigation/puzzle game. Also grabbed Blasphemous on PS5, which has gone on sale for under $7.

40 bucks for NiOH3 And even that was stupid considering my backlog and the little time I currently have for gaming :messenger_expressionless:

In the end I bought a key of Nioh 3 for 50 euros on pc

Yakuza Kiwami 3 key for 31 euros

And a key for RE Requiem for 45 euros

Total amount: 126 euros 🥲

A handful of Nintendo games. RDR 2 for PS5 if it releases and maybe Ninja Gaiden 4 and Stalker 2 if i get them cheap. So probably somewhere around 300 to 500 bucks.

Fuck I've already spent 250 and the year has basically just started lol. On basically 3 games. 2 new and one that was on sale on PlayStation store lol.

Forgot that Tokyo Xtreme Racer was releasing today, but might hold off on that and be getting Marathon as my next new game.

Also a very high chance I'll get Crimson Desert next month as well.
