Well yeah, that's what I meant by less training, they had the potential to live from it but never met it.

Kryptonians didn't have powers on their homeworld; yellow suns are what give them powers, while Krypton's red sun just sustained them. They were regular folks like you or me, and like you or me, all the training in the world won't mean shit in the face of your planet being blown all the way to hell.

The Fortress of Solitude doesn't recognize him when doing a bio-scan. It's basically saying it's not registering a Kryptonian. Even if it was just a matter of Superman being temporarily de-powered, that wouldn't affect his physiology or DNA. The Fortress is saying there's something off about him. To throw even more salt in the wound, it finishes off by reclaiming his Kryptonian clothing. Now we know why he's forced to wear jeans and a t-shirt all the time.

WHICH IS THE REASON FOR HIS NEW COSTUME

Didn't Superman become a god basically when he absorbed a sun? I mean a planet exploding wouldn't effect much if a kryptonian trained with their natural powers, so again they didn't train enough to their potential.

EDIT: Heading to bed, New Luthor looks ok and just looks like he's dressing up to influence new youth into schemes and crap.

Something that hasnt been mentioned. That guy on the floor in the OPs picture is Clark. Meaning Luthor is helping him up.

Wow ok i dont think youre understanding. Kryptonians are basically really smart humans in krypton. AKA no powers.
Their powers come from OUR sun.

If you train to your full potential and you get ran over by a truck youre most likely still going to die.

The reason superman has powers is because of OUR sun. For them, They are NOT natural powers is what were getting at.

For the kryptonians clarks powers are anything but. Man of steel makes a point of showing this with zodd adapting to our sun.

Even Gambit hung up the trench coat

Classic Gambit is the best Gambit.

Why are they trying to resolve the problem of Superman's secret identity being known by making him a Lexcorp employee?

It's like that makes him a citizen of another nation with diplomatic immunity.

Realistically though, if DC was real and this happened to Supes, everybody knows that Bats would just show up with Superman's original DNA and some device that tricks the Fortress into recognizing him as old Superman and let Supes back in.

Downside: Now that he's a regular schmoe, Diana will eventually dump him. Then he'll be out in the rain with Steve Trevor, singing Boyz II Men's "Four Seasons of Loneliness," sharing his pain with the world.

Already ahead of you

Even easier: He could just ask Supergirl to get him in.

IT'S HAPPENING!

Probably a fake out, but let me enjoy this.

Well lets take look at some of the comics coming out lately/coming soon:
bloodstrike-covers-123871.jpg

Hold on. Timeout. Cable-lite has a fucking sleeping bag and a gun made out of stone? The barrel is pointed the wrong way. And the blades don't line up with the handle.

How does this guy keep finding work????

He still has a brown jacket so it's pretty similar to his old look and lol nice undercut constantine
He looks good. It's different style, but similiar enough to stil be recognizably Constantine. WHich is good. As much as I loved the original style it became heavily overused and bassicaly became a damn costume, which isn't something that should ever happen with Constantine.

I love how a bunch of people in this threads are defending the new looks but even Geoff Johns, the company golden boy, has basically said fuck this and is instructing his artists to use the pre-convergence more classic looks in Justice League. Why? Because he and Fakbook know better and have good taste

I agre and Constantine is a perfect example of a positive change. I wouldn't even mind if a few times he shows up in just street clothes like a t-shirt and jeans.

Agreed. Now, if the new soft reboot of his series will have him stop hanging out with Batman and Etrigan, we may be able to get some Hellblazer stuff out of it.

lol I know, I know.

Have you seen the 11 pages free preview? It's awesome. Just like the design, it feels quite different from Hellblazer and New 52's take and yet it retains the core that made the Hellblazer so good. And the fact that he let a pretty girl
get skinned alive by demons,
makes me very hopefull about the new series.

Green Arrow preview was very nice too. I have high hopes for both. And both need a successful reveamp badly.

The problem is though it's stuck under the DC label when it belongs in Vertigo. It would be like putting a Constantine show on NBC instead of Netflix or HBO

Haha, like that would ever happen. If they stuck in on NBC, they'd probably do something stupid like have it take place in America.

You know you can dislike something without it being "edgy", right?

This is really not far from the standard Lex look, so the character in general must be 2edgy4u

Can someone with more talent than me photoshop those stupid background faces from the Bloodstrike cover into the background of the new Lex Luthor picture?

Or...it's because none of what's happening in the solo books has any effect on JL, which is basically going to be a big event book whose purpose is to show the classic versions of the characters. Superman still has his powers, Hal is still a regular Green Lantern, Bruce Wayne is still Batman, etc. All of the costume changes have reasons for happening in their respective stories. JL isn't concerned with all that, so everyone keeps their old looks.

I'm sure it's been said in here already but that image looks like it came from the cover of some shitty SNES game by Acclaim.

But unlike Hitch's Justice League, Geoff's is supposed to be taking place in continuity. The first three years have made that very clear.

Gambit always has and always will be shit

His hand looks weird.

And holy shit I always thought lex was black.

Looks like something you'd see on the back of a cereal box. Or maybe those cheaply done educational comics.

It looks fucking terrible.
