Same as all WiiU games: press the Home button, go to Miiverse, make a post, and it'll give you the option to choose the screenshot from either the tv screen or the Gamepad screen to add to your post. You can then find your post on http://miiverse.nintendo.net and link the image file directly from there.
Or for a higher resolution pic you can hit the home button, then go to the web browser, go to a website that allows image uploads like facebook or imgur and click browse and it'll let you choose TV or Gamepad to upload.

Absolutely loving this game. Got up to level 9. I such with the charger so far but I've been dominating with the splattershot. 10+ kills and 1000+ points, yum.

Didn't want to admit it early on but splattershot jr is OP IMO for turf war. No other weapon/sub/special loadout is as effective for both coverage and kills.
It's greater for coverage than any weapon I've used. The wide spread and low damage is easily compensated by the rapid fire rate. The bubbler is just too convenient to cancel out any attack on you and you can also share for a killer push into enemy territory if your team is close, so both defensive and offensive uses. And to top it all off it has bombs to help round it out for a sub weapon.
It needs a damage nerf or accuracy nerf or change the sub weapon or special. It may no longer be a good starter weapon but until there is some more incredible top level play by players with other weapons, for even mid range skill level players like myself can dominate.

Splatoon has fully justified the purchase of my Wii U. I mean, I already really enjoyed the system and there have been some great games but this is on a whole different level. I'm so happy Nintendo is letting their younger developers take the reigns on new projects. I'm already getting hyped for the sequel on NX!

Just played the same map 9 times in a row.

And you notice that there are 3 available map slots in Turf War?
The blaster might be my favorite playstyle yet for both coverage and effectiveness for killing but it's special and sub can't make up for it's slow speed for coverage for how limited limited area it covers in one shot. The trade off is good for the power and how it covers area but the disruptor feels like it should be a killer wail type move instead of a weird bomb targeting. How long does it even last? I don't know, I'm not feeling the loadout but I love the gun.
Give it time, it's the first Nintendo game that was built mainly for online but yeah, the roation maps should be shorter.

I'm in the same boat, amazing game with so much potential but they need to get just one new map out now.
that way they can have 6 maps on rotation, having 3 to choice from every 2 hours and not 2 every 4.

I've been trying to use the Pro Controller as the main controller, but it keeps on putting the Gamepad controller as the main controller. I've been syncing and making sure I am player 1. Any idea on how to change the controls?

You have to use the gamepad. Pro controller is not supported in single player as far as I know. Only 1 vs 1.

No onine use for the Pro Controller, either. It lacks a touch screen (which is required for certain Special Weapons & for the Super Jump). It's GamePad or bust.
