Fallout 4 Officially Revealed for PC, Xbox One, PS4 [Reddit Rumor = Ban]

Good thing is that on PC there'll be graphical overhauls within a week of the game's release , so I'm not really worried.

Guys, in anticipation for this I've been willing to play both PS3 iterations of Fallout, how do they hold up today? (after patches and such).

I've beaten both Fallout New Vegas and 3 on PS3 in the past two years and they are fine. They aren't without glitches, but iirc I don't think they crashed or completely broke more than 5 times total.

There are issues, some hilarious, some annoying, but I don't think either game is completely unplayable on the PS3 anymore. You should have a great time if it's your only way of playing the games.

Casual reminder that the game is not released yet and these pictures are mostly likely from an early build.

Perfect. I look forward to playing Fallout 4 day one and hope they improve on the graphical fidelity of the game.

Until, and if, such improvement comes, I'll criticize the graphics of the game for not being impressive while at the same time being immensely excited for the gameplay of the series that I love quite dearly.

Gamebryo or not gamebryo.. I'm loving the art style. Amazing how different a blue sky makes the rest of the scenery look.

I will wait for gameplay before passing judgement..

Would be the norm for Bethesda as of late, so wouldn't be all that surprising, and we haven't really seen much from MS as far as 3rd party marketing deals other than The Division. Wouldn't surprise me if they go the timed DLC route again.

A platform with a tiny install base can't afford anything exclusive for anything big like this. Unless the deal was made before or soon after this gen started, which would be stupid.

It's disgusting to watch it unfold.

Yes, and waay worse than "port begging" or "thread whining"

at least there won't be horrible downgrade threads.

You and i both know this won't be the case.

Around this game's release date, there'll be an 80+ page thread largely hinged around the comparison of two grass sprites from different builds, under different lighting, one example of which has been taken from a Youtube video.

Worst thing about the poor graphics is that it's still using gamebyro which means we can look forward to towns with 5 people in them, infinitely repeating textures, and unclimable ladders to separate zones.

And I'm not sure what the problem with having criticisms of a screenshot is. There's not much to go other than the 4k screenshots so is the thread just supposed to be a circle jerk of OMFGFALLOUT4AHIOHGFWHFS?

Eh hopefully they do a way better job at smashing all those bugs. That is my biggest gripe with bethesda made games. Other things I'd like them to do a good job at are the other non graphical stuff like AI, combat mechanics, story, characters, animations, Crafting, loading screens, more variety in the world/npcs, Not having to load into towns. Bethesda games are never lookers but they hopefully can make everything else top notch.

Hopefully obsidian gets a chance to come back to fallout as I honestly doubt bethesda can do good writing, world building and characters.

Yesssssssss. Most anticipated game right here, can't wait for this. And graphics??? This is fallout baby, it's going to be a great game with a ton of mods, especially for teh grafiks.

I would imagine dropping the last gen consoles should help with a few of those issues.

No Obsidian then?
*sigh, hope you guys enjoy the game. Disappointment and realization after 100 hours in Skyrim taught me to not buy Bethesda game ever the first year of its release.

I'm not into graphics debates, i don't care, but man i have terrible memories of gamebryo.
Can't wait to see how character faces will look lol

Yeah those are definitely legit concerns, but maybe they've fixed that/made it more seamless? How do you know its gamebryo? The games been in development for like 5 years

Slightly hype on this. Holding out hope they got Chris to help with the writting as for the engine....maybe next gen will make things better?

So, think we're playing as a mechanic?

I'm totally going to make a FFXV style female Cindy character if so.

Guys ignore the "everything's shit" people... it's Fallout mutherfucking 4.

Can't wait to dive into this.
