Fallout 4 Officially Revealed for PC, Xbox One, PS4 [Reddit Rumor = Ban]

Is that Perlman doing the narration pre nuke stuff?

Are they actually going to make him voice character and not a nebulous voice for the intro / outro? Because that would be the kind of stupid I can support
 
The dog doesn't look amazing and the animations still aren't Bethesda's strong suit, but some of you guys have pretty unrealistic expectations for current gen graphics if you think this looks like "garbage".
 
If wither 3 or mgs5 had anywhere near those graphics there would be hundreds of pages of posts talking about how bad it looks and how bad it is going to be but this game gets a pass why?

What engine is this game using?

The lighting is bad, especially the outdoor areas. The dog and people animation are really stiff too.

I would not be surprised if this is a port from unfinished PS3, X360 version.
 
Technical/graphical bitching aside (it really doesn't look like a current gen only title should/could look, low res textures, low poly assets, no ambient occlusion, bad shadows, bad animations...), even the atmosphere conveyed in that trailer didn't grasp me. Hm, i gotta say im disappointed so far.
 
Well, technically it is incredibly underwhelming, but the nice colors help a bit, so that's appreciated. Hopefully this means it'll be a very stable 30 FPS on console (60 FPS would obviously be even better, but I don't see them going down that path).

EDIT: Oh, and that music? Goosebumps!

Looks cool, but good god. This has cross-gen written all over it despite being current gen. I'd wager it was going to be cross-gen and they dropped the old consoles part way through. But I guess it depends on how much is actually going on in the world, whether interiors are loading gated, etc...

edit: it does have nice lighting and shadows

I feel bad for them they chose to release that trailer when everyone is playing witcher 3, a game that even after some major downgrade still looks much better than this.
this looks straight up cross gen.
 
Great news! Hope they deliver a good game. Its not a game franchise known for its top notch graphics, so I hope they nail the performance.
 
Another vault dweller? I think I'm even less excited now that I've seen the actual trailer. Hope that Bethesda doesn't section the entire world off like they did with Fallout 3 and the godawful metro system, but I have very little hope of that. Guess I'll be waiting for this game to hit bargain bin prices and for Obsidian to get another shot so we can actually get a Fallout game that's enjoyable after the first time through.
 
Not a bad trailer! As for the graphics there were parts of it that looked quite great and some parts that looked pretty terrible. Specifically noticed the really flat lighting on the pre-fallout flashback sequences.

Some of the shots looked super S.T.A.L.K.E.R. like...which I dig :D
