Fallout 4 | Switch 2 - PS4 - PS5 | Graphics Comparison

yea i know and that looks much better then the switch 2 60fps mode most likely upscaled from 600p or lower. So what i'm saying if they downgraded the ps4 version enough they could have maybe got 60fps.
Good luck with that CPU 🤣

It looks like a decent port on Switch 2.

Having bought a Steam Deck recently, I can't really see the point of picking up a Switch 2 for these kinds of ports. You can get the whole Fallout catalogue on Steam Deck for less than the cost of this port and you have access to stacks of community mods to actually make them playable - plus you get proper analogue sticks!

That's not even close to the PS4 Pro drops… 🤣🤣🤣 and probably going to be fixed with the day 1 patch.
well that area is one of the most stress points we haven't seen it on switch 2, plus lowering settings getting 60fps proves the game is not cpu heavy lol.

Dude I was ATI/AMD from 1996 to 2016

I waited and waited for all those promises of GCN, the next driver is coming in to save the day, ah consoles will change everything in their favour, etc.
That explains your cheerleading for Nvidia. AMD hurt your feelings.
But you only have yourself to blame.
Who in their right mind believes marketers and brand fans?
Did you forget to take your meds?

Now why would RDNA 2 consoles need that much bandwidth compared to equivalent desktop... hmmmmmm

hmmmmm, couldn't be that they ripped the infinity cache out, couldn't be, naw
Oh yeah, oh yeah...
The saving grace of the 6600XT in the form of Infinity Cache helped it so much against the 5600XT...

Circa 1.68 GHz 5600XT (7.74 TFLOPs) vs circa 2.55 GHz 6600XT (10.44 TFLOPs), so 35% more FLOPS.
But 6600XT with its Infinity Cache is only 31% faster at 1440p than 5600XT 🤷‍♂️

Seems that Infinity Cache is not magic. But please, continue to believe every marketing buzzword and 'promise' made by companies and over-enthusiastic 'fans' 🤦‍♂️

And what about your 'prediction' about Switch 2 using DLSS 4?
You have avoided answering 3 times already since yesterday...🤣

Is heavy for the PS4 cpu, not for the Switch 2 CPU.
I mean even 2 developers said switch 2 cpu is slightly stronger than ps4 so unless we see those setting probably 600p upscaled we won't know for sure. you're acting like switch 2 has a series s cpu. its extremely downclocked cpu.

Not on par with the Series S cpu, but better than the PS4, that's for sure.

Damn, now that we know that dlss will be implemented within the next patch as this game isnt using it yet, that makes it even more insane.

According to you… The game looks basically identical… But double the framerate.

BTW… The game is not even upscaled yet. 😉
wait for a proper comparison by df and see how much such down graded it is. Look at skyrim 60fps mode is upscaled from 570p-800p looks blurry. And lod is down graded severely. Look at 1080p video from ps4 gpu it look better then switch 2 quality mode.

Which video?

Also, there no upscaling involved in fallout 4. It will be added next patch. The current situation is already miles ahead from ps4 base. And it dont even use dlss. Its already a done deal. The only question that is left, how will it.compare to ps5 and series s once its included. Ps4 or ps4 pro isnt relevant anymore at this point.

You really need to visit the eye doctor ASAP. And again, Fallout 4 is not even upscaled yet (According to Bethesda)… So, the "is upscaling from 540p or 600p" was you playing the resolution guessing game, and probably all your opinion about technical stuff when comes to the Switch 2 are the same… Just playing the guessing game. But.. Is up to you…

So did i make up the fooatage in motion in same video, wait for df and see how stupid you gonna look . All the reviews mention how terrible and blurry it lookd in 60fps mode but keep coping. Get your eyes checked friend.

Trust in yourself when you have an opinion.. at least… 🤣🤣🤣

AMD hurt my feelings? What are you, fucking twelve? They were just not competing. Their constant victim mentality for being fucked over by Nvidia for every gameworks when the fans made patches within 48h the equivalent of a driver setting to fix it was cringe as fuck.

Do you seriously think TFlops scale 1:1 with gaming performance?

Ricky Gervais Lol GIF

I'll give you one better since you like banwidth numbers

RX 5700 - 144 TMUs - 7.95 TFlops - 256-bit, 448 GB/s
RX 6650 XT - 128 TMUs - 10.8 TFlops - 128-bit, 280 GB/s

5700 is 72% of relative performance of the 6650 XT, for 73.6% of the TFLops, but 1.6x the banwidth. Seems like infinity cache is doing its job!

Why not vs RDNA 1 king, 5700 XT
RX 5700 XT - 160 TMUs - 9.75 TFlops - 256-bit, 448 GB/s

5700 XT is 85% of the performance for 90% of the TFlops..

Latencies, what are those

This thing has been microbenched to hell and back, what are you even trying to say here?

Infinity cache makes the entire cache layers faster with less latency, higher throughput bandwidth, with better cache hitrates / lower cache misses

The fucking irony lol, you're posting nonsense and not even understanding basic GPU architectures.

I've had great talks on this forum with multiple peoples, nobody has been as fucking brainlet as you to be honest.

@ winjer winjer next time you want to debate AMD RDNA 2, he's the local expert.

And what about your 'prediction' about Switch 2 using DLSS 4?

Is the console at the end of its life? Is it already over? Fuck time passed quickly. That's it, that's the end of the dev kit development. /s
As if these things don't take time. AMD has mega servers running 24h 7 days a week and barely scrapped by having better than CNN lol. A "lite" transformer model is not a fucking snap of the fingers.

I didn't answer your stupid bait because you're just trying too hard.

As it should be seeing as it came out over a decade later!
So it should by your logic run at 120 fps on ps5?

Ow wait it even is set on 30/40fps in quality mode on ps5? Why can the game reach stable 60fps on ps5 in quality mode? It begs the question if what you saying does even makes sense...
Fallout 4 on PS5 (via the 2024 next-gen update) offers improved performance with two main modes: Performance Mode (60 FPS at Dynamic 4K) and Quality Mode (30/40 FPS at native 4K with higher graphical settings). The game supports 60 FPS in both modes, but performance mode uses lower graphical settings to maintain it, while 40 FPS is available on 120Hz displays for a better balance.

Are you not sick of embarrassing yourself time and time again?

Me. I play Fallout 1, 2, 3, New Vegas and 4 on Steam Deck and they all play amazing on a handheld.
I literally bought a Steam Deck as I wanted to replay New Vegas after the first season of the TV show. I mean, I was so tempted before, but it was the metaphorical straw that broke the camel's back.

...and while waiting for that, I realized my work laptop with an Intel IGP could handle the game just fine, with bling bling mods and all. Oh well. I still don't regret my purchase. I don't think I would have got addicted to Balatro without it.
