I feel bad for them they chose to release that trailer when everyone is playing witcher 3, a game that even after some major downgrade still looks much better than this.
this looks straight up cross gen.

Yeah thats kinda what I was thinking. I mean there definitely some spots where it looks pretty good (the guy walking under the street lamp) but isnt this pretty close to what the PC version of Fallout3 looked like?

Kinda disappointed in the visual fidelity but still interested to see how the game is. I got pretty bored with Fallout 3, hopefully this is better.

What kind of graphics were some of you expecting? I'd love to see what open world RPG games you guys are playing if you think these are bad. Witcher 3 looks nice, but I don't see how it's miles above what we've seen from this trailer, not to mention the performance issues.

Considering this will probably be (late) 2016 release, it looks downright embarrasing at times. Those character models and animations can't even hold a candle against the top tier of last gen.

I'm going to wait for your examples of open world games from last gen that do it better.

The scenes that come up starting with the brahmin coming up at 1:42 looks better than the Witcher 3 already, assuming this isn't a BS trailer. Especially the lighting and foliage.

The parts before it, especially the dog scene don't get my attention at all. It didn't look impressive during that.

That's awesome. Ron Perlman is as symbolic of Fallout as Nolan North is of Uncharted. (IMO)

A bit underwhelming I think, they're playing it so safe with Dogmeat and the vault suit yet again. Doesn't feel very fresh, at least so far.
Hopefully they've improved a lot on the gameplay which we'll hopefully see at E3.

Yes. I live in the area, and recognized a fair number of the landmarks (the most obvious being the State Capitol building... but also the USS Constitution, Fenway Park, and a statue of Paul Revere).

As others have noted, the trees and landscape don't look super Boston-y, though. I'd expect a lot more pine trees, for one thing. Also: more waterfront, and more (any?) T stops.
