Oh yeah, combining these two is a must. Ninja squid isn't a catch all easy mode thing, but with these two, it gets really really awesome.
I actually had a really early purchase of the hoodie that gives ninja and a hat (or shoes, I forget specifics) that had ninja jump. I legitimately had to remind myself that people couldn't see my SJ locations and started abusing them so much more. Landing in team ink and supporting was too much fun. I miss that. Can't wait to hit level 20 and get Spyke to put some more perk slots on my old stuff.
That thing sure is something. Wanna see someone get good with it, but fear it will drive them mad in the process.
Squiffer GAF, unite
Another way to think about splash wall, which is why I originally adopted it in the first place, is that it is a faster and more frequent bubbler. It is less flexible and less team-friendly, yes, but if one vs one situations it is almost always superior to any other weapon the other player can bring. Even outside chokepoints, it limits the movement of the enemy while granting you damage protection in one direction against anything that comes your way. Naturally the more open the space and the less ink regions you have around you the less useful it is, but even so, if the enemy has not been caught offguard by the splash wall and you haven't splatted him, they will often predictably try to move around it. Now they have less movement options and now you know more about what they are trying to do.
And again, it's also so good at neutralizing various supers. Inkzookas from afar can't hurt you, bubblers will get delayed trying to go around or shoot down your splash wall, Krakens will be delayed too letting you run away, and most bombs from bomb rushes will just bounce uselessly off the wall.

Haha, I was having this same dilemma. I'm a Bay Area native Warriors fan, and have never seen them make the finals during my lifetime, so I feel like I can't miss this. But the call of the ink, it is so strong!

You definitely get a lot better playing in gaf rooms. They are tough, though.
You add a ton of people from here and join off of them when you play. Eventually they fill up. I solo queued earlier then Kouriozan and FrsDvl joined on me and within 20 minutes it was 8 people from gaf.
I should move to Japan and switch to roller, amirite?
You rockin' the classic Squiffer, or the New Squiffer? The subweapons for the New Squiffer make it a lot better, I find. That's been my go-to loadout.
