2015 Console Screenshot Thread (PS4, XB1, Wii U) [READ OP!]

Last set from Unity... over 150 hours, 100% on everything, it was fun game but it's time to set the sails and explore the islands and conquer the seas in Black Flag now :)

Flickr Album with over 100 Unity screenshots ...

I would love to see Sony and MS give developers an API or something that would allow games to automatically remove any UI elements when taking screens.
They don't really need anything more to do that. The existing API should allow it already. For example some games will place a watermark or logo when a screenshot is taken. It's up to developers to implement the function in their games.

I'm not sure why there's a black border around the screens.
Settings > Sound and Screen > Display Area Settings

Hold up until the 'Enlarge' option greys out.

This is where you can compensate for display overscan by underscanning the picture output by PS4. Captured screenshots will also reflect the under scan.

You're using imgur which will add more compression, try and use a different image host.

Imgur only compresses guest accounts now. Free members get uncompressed up to 5MB/image, and full members get uncompressed with no size limit.

Even though AC4 was launch and cross gen title the game still looks good, not Unity good but still. I just wish Black Flag had Unity lighting, the game would look so much better.

I know it's super old game, but I only take screenshots of what I play at the moment and I only play one game at the time ;)

Ah cool, thanks for the heads up.

I have to check with my source material, but I never knew that imgur adds some major image compression. Or maybe they've changed their policy lately?

Edit: I did check the source pics and they weren't that much greater quality. Maybe it's this color pattern, maybe I didn't reset some of the photo mode settings. I also probably decreased the quality when I was deleting the black bars in IfranView.

I got too lazy to remove all of the HUD. I really wish they would just provide us with a "one-click" option to remove all of it.

Decided to go back and play some launch games again, KZ still manages to impress.

PS4 share compression isn't kind to this game :(

I was thinking of gong back and doing this with the same game. I still have my launch copy, lol. But yeah, this one game that does not take well to the PS4 share button treatment. PNGs are needed for games like this.

^ Is that 1.03 patch? Is it just me or do the forest tree branches no look as soft and clean after the 1.03 patch? It looks like they are sharpened manually.

Just comparing The Witcher screen to The Order and now both games look similar (how the light reacts to the wood) since they are using PBR. Probably not the best example, as soon as I saw the witcher screen it reminded of the order, but on second thought I could have chosen a better screen.
