But I really love doing that as a roller. Squid Jump towards an enemy, shotgun splat. Really neat when you get a streak (this is how I got my biggest K/D, 20-4)
 
This morning I woke up and went to the bathroom. I stood up to flush the toilet... and it was filled with ink.

I placed a hand over my mouth in horror. Pulled my hand away... and saw ink leaking from my nose.

I turned to leave and slipped on my ink. I swam up the door and frantically wrangled the knob with my tentacles.

As I flopped down at my computer, making squishy sounds, I slapped at the keyboard with one tentacle while fending off a seagull with another.

What is happening, GAF? What is happening?

Also, I'm sort of loving Skatepark now? Found an easy way to use Beacons to circumvent the other team and with my build I can almost carry my team if they at least know HOW to use beacons.

I also thought you'd lose less points if you lost a match in which your mates disconnected, but I lost a 1x4 match and still lost the full 10 points. Say what you will about you disconnecting, but this shouldn't make you lose all the points as well.

It's a love/hate relationship with ranked though. I really like that I can level up pretty fast but all these costumes are so far out of my reach and I want them all before I actually care about perks.

Skatepark is a lot of fun once you get into the groove of things. Aggressive swimming, allows you to go in circles quickly up and down the ramps. It can be a blast.

There's no red ink color.
 
I've finally reached level 20 and was really excited about my clothing choices opening up now that I can add extra slots and reroll abilities..

But that's not the case at all. some equipment is just plain better than others due to their main abilities, and I simply can't justify equipping an item with worse abilities because I think it looks better.

The whole point of customizing an Inkling's style goes completely out of the window because you are forced to use certain items.

It's pretty much the only thing in this game I don't like at the moment and I very much hope for the ability to use the looks of one item with the abilities of another in the future, because until then my Inkling is going to be super ugly but strong.
 
Took a 40 min break I came back, and first match my team decimates the other team 100 to 0 with no interruptions on Ranked. Feels good.

I'm on a roll today. Splattershot Jr. <3

That'd be a nice way to add incentives for playing, if there was some (involving, but not unreasonable) process where you could move the main ability from one piece of gear to another.

I completely agree, ugh. This is my main problem with this game, everything else is great.

Man, just had the best 6 Splatzone Matches ever.

All were touch and go, never complete 100-0 Dominations.

And the last one WAS HELL! 40 second penalty...we get it down and chip 10 seconds away...40 second penalty! We lost, but it was the best game of Splatzones...and it was on Walleye, the worst map ever!
 
Nathan here, had fun in some GAF rooms today. Near the end my internet went "ACK!" though, but my battery was red anyways so done for now. It's easy to tell when I'm lagging because of the large amount of splats that happen to me that should be flat-out impossible.

Every time someone goes "Run Speed Up sucks go for Swim Speed" I want to cry. We already know from testing that it's more like the opposite.

A couple of days ago I was playing ranked. I noticed that I struggled when playing against one player, but always won when we were together. Then I came back to GAF and he was posting in this thread.
 
97-98 piece of crap! I went on a 9 game winning streak! 1 game away from ranking up and then the teams get switched around and I lost two in a row!

Ranked is not good for my health

It gets even worse when you factor in brands since you really want to stack sub abilities for them to have an actually noticeable effect.
 
Starting to feel like I can't find a single weapon that suits me, my match scores and K/D ratio have been so awful the last few days since dropping the Aerospray. It's embarrassing finishing 3rd on the team at level 15.

If I pick the .96 Gal my K/D is great but I get stuck with people who don't even attempt to ink territory and we get destroyed. If I pick the N-Zapper then the Aerospray users stomp all over my ass on tighter maps. Picking the Aerospray has no downsides, except I don't want to use it (too many people do, and I prefer having some range). Same with the Splattershot Jr and its instant-win shield. Kinda like the Dynamo, but the windup time is painful.

Rolling awful abilities killed any desire I had to use it. When I hit level 20, paying to fix it will be my first priority.
