Dark Souls III leaked info and screenshots [RUMOR - Better Details Write-Up]

ehh, no, it actually runs well in most hardware, reaching 60 fps fairly easily, and also it doesn't look half bad if there's art to complement it.

From a technical standpoint, sure. But I much prefer the art styles from the other games.

I don't understand this sentiment at all.Do people enjoy waiting for Vaporware like TLG and VersusXIII and Silent Hills ?

FROM has shown that they're more than capable of putting out the best games in the industry in a timely fashion,we should embrace that. Not wish for these games to take 6 years to come out.

Anyway, nothing lasts forever and there will come a time when we look back in disbelief at this golden age ,all while bitching and moaning about a hypothetical future FROM that's a managerial mess.

Just like people mock modern SE's incompetence and constantly compare the current FF output to PSX~early PS2's era almost annual FF output.

Agreed. The problem is not annualized games per se, it0s their drop in quality. So far, all Souls games are amazing.

I not so sure about the sacrifice mechanic. I played DS2 after Blooborne and it was great getting back to the straightforward symbol-summon system after the bell system.

Holy shit... didn't think this was actually going to be announced, but those shots look legit. I think I'll let myself get excited!

Maybe I misheard but what does 45 new enemies and 15 bosses mean? Like what is that being compared to?

RE: 15 new bosses: Bear in mind these bosses apparently can transform into multiple forms. And they'll probably reuse bosses from past titles.

This could be done by the majority of the DS2 Team, but they showed they could do SOMETHING interesting with the Crown DLCs. Maybe the babies who cry about BB will have a better time with passive combat or what i would like to call a waste of time most of the time.

I love Dark Souls more because it offers a wider variety and more freedom to play how I want. But Bloodborne is amazing for what it is and I love it as well.

They do from the most recent thread about FFXV it seems. Most people don't seem to learn from Duke Forever, they won't get their old versions of the game back, ever.

Those swords in the ground...

They finally did it.

Miyazaki REALLY likes Berserk Doesn't he?

I believe it's real. Looks really legit and it won't surprise no one that a new Dark Souls is coming. And about the pc "negotiable" thing? Yeah they're just doing the console versions again first and pc later in order to get people to double dip. Seemed to work somewhat if the plentiful double dippers around Gaf are anything to go by. Will wait for the pc version myself though.

"only" 15 new bosses is not that much to be honest.

Seriously, its less than half of what Souls 2 had. I want these screenshot to be real, but I am not excited if there's really a significantly smaller number of bosses in this game in comparison to the last.

Edit: Apparently the leak is 15 "new" bosses. Still, sounds like it's on the low side.

Umm, last I checked the internets, there was some rumor about a possible E3 DS3 thingy and now I'm looking at videos and screenshots of the game.

WHAT

EDIT: Those ghost swords all over the floor in the boss room are awesome. Love how that can show you where people died. Wait, I'm getting hyped for a game I didn't even know existed.

Directed by Miyazaki = day one, otherwise I'll wait for price drop.

I don't trust anyone else with the Souls games.

It sounds like PR stuff that isn't that relevant like the 10 classes bullet point. They did the same in DS2, pushing the idea that the initial classes actually mattered for some reason.

This might actually be a good thing. DS 2 felt bloated with too many uninteresting boss encounters.

The variety holds true and hopefully they can get the world to be just as interesting this time around and considering the Sun pic maybe they will.

Same. I loved the red soapstones for duels as well. Made Fight Clubs a thing. Sounds like Myazaki making the online portion even more of a chore. The Dark Souls 2 team made great strides there and if it goes backwards it will be a damn shame.

1-4 players. I'm surprised more people aren't analysing this. Scholar of the first sin allowed 4-6 players at once.

Another step backwards.

Maybe it's some sort of DS1 remake/reimagining?

Just trying to make sense out of the new bosses and enemies thing.

2016? So soon?
But Miyazaki recently finish Bloodborne. Maybe that means that this is not directed by him just produce like ds2 or that he is very good at managing projects.

Why do people keep suggesting it doesn't make sense to show this stuff if Bloodborne DLC is coming? That's by far the BEST time to do it. It won't be out for a year, so in anticipation more are likely to purchase BB DLC. This has happened forever. It's like saying Bethesda shouldn't unveil Skyrim because they're busy selling New Vegas DLC.

Also, there hasn't been a single PC Dark Souls game that released same day as console versions. I'm guessing this is the negotiation aspect of PC version. I mean, it's much harder to port from 360/PS3 to PC than it is to do PS4/XONE to PC because of the x86 architecture. But they did and for likely less money than they would receive today. There's just no logical reason they wouldn't release it for PC, if they were willing to do it when it was more difficult for less money.

For some reason, something feels a little 'off' about this...

It looks really similar to DS2, could it be more DLC for Scholar of the First Sin?
