Yeah well, I'd sure hope so? It's supposed to be a new game? The information in the OP makes everything about this sound strangely unappealing.
I'm going with 'Bloodied Souls'.
Not a 'new' game, but Bloodborne re-jigged just enough to break from the Sony exclusivity contract and allow for a multi-platform release.

DS2 have lots of reussed assets from DS1 and bosses.

Looks like the age of darkness finally kicks in meanwhile the dragons resurfaced from their nests to take the world again

So this is what the Aldia ending leads to huh. Beyond the scope of light, beyond the reach of dark

Some assets, sure. Plenty of weapons. But I can't recall any normal enemies...mind jogging my memory?

And I forgot about the Gargoyles, so two reused bosses. But I can't recall more than that. ><

It certainly doesn't seem a large enough number to warrant explicitly excluding them from a count of DS2's content. It's weird that the DS3 leak does.

That too. It's all very strange. Can't wait for E3, because I'm sure it isn't as weird and cash-grabby as the leak makes it sound!

Basilisks, Mimics, Knights, rats.

I dont think Sony will be happy with any similarity to Bloodborne. The whole point of investing in a new IP goes to waste if From start borrowing whole sale from BB for DS series. From will not want to piss of Sony.

I mean, With bloodborne just being released, I'm assuming it's the Dark Souls 2 team working on this.. I'm currently playing Dark Souls 2 now and it's a very high quality game so I"m not too worried.

I am the bone of my meh.

Seriously, i just can't get excited at how often they are pumping these titles out. Atleast make another new IP. Dark Souls just feels like they are stretching it too far, the antithesis to how Miyazaki usually operates
He directed Amored Core 4 and the sequel Armored Core: For Answers...

I didn't even notice the dragons way in the background. Wow. Shit is going down. Literally ending the Dark trilogy with a bang
We all know it'll end in a whimper, no hope left

What I'm looking forward to the most is the next year+ of people overanalyzing every tiny detail revealed, screaming about casualization, and above all else, endless concern trolling. Though since it's not going to be exclusive maybe there will be less of that.

Now that is absolute horseshit, like they have ported Demons souls to everything right?
So much stupid like every souls reveal, why can't Microsoft re-release Donkey Kong Country for the Xbox guys, they own Rare right? People in here make YouTube-personalities look like Gods of wisdom in comparison.

Ha just take what I said at face value

That's a game and a sequel, versus a trilogy and its really annoying....
He did not direct Dark Souls II, he only supervised the work of that team while he was working on Bloodborne.

I don't mind it, if he wants to work on a sequel and finish the story HE started with Dark Souls I let him be I say.

There is also that comment of John on that other thread about this being the game that will wrap the story or something like that.

Those early trailers and leaks are almost annoying at this point. I always await E3 with that hope for many megaton moments, but at this point we'll probably just get confirmations of what we already suspected/knew, and casually nod at the anouncements.

That said, I'm immensely excited with the prospect of a new Dark Souls game, Hopefully it will be a march/april release like BB and DS2 were.

Is there any other developer as productive as From Software? God damn, they pump out so much content it's ridiculous. Absolutely amazing efficiency.

Can't wait.

Well shit. I didn't think I was ready for a new souls game, but damn the screens just hyped me completely. Certainly can't wait for E3 to see if this is legit.

I must say, as much as I love Dark Souls 2, I am glad the third one seems to be a take on the Dark Souls 1 art style with much better graphics. 2 was just a bit too colourful at times.

Yeah, looks like the Fire is dead and humans tried to avoid the fate of death again but something worse happened.

Unless its some sort of artistic change and tried to make the dying fire do little more "impact" in the world.

I will put it in spoilers since is no the thread for that

Ormstein Boss
Rat Autority is a reskinned Sif
Sihn boss is actually Kalameet with slow moveset
Havel the rock with infinite stamina
Wheel skulls

I didn't even notice the dragons way in the background. Wow. Shit is going down. Literally ending the Dark trilogy with a bang

I hope so, let the dark era starts and human take the world in the dark since it was really the propurse of the Dark Soul in every human since the start.

15 new bosses = makes me think its an expansion. What the heck is going on? Is this a what if shit hit the fan version of Dark Souls?

Also, why do the environments look like they are straight out of Bloodborne? I thought it was the expansion Shu was talking about when I first saw the screens.

Edit: If this is true and is from the same source, then did MS really pay billions for Silent Hills? I don't know what to think anymore.

John Harker indeed hinted at a Miyazaki-helmed Dark Souls sequel way back:

Ahhh, Miyasaki's dark souls swan song!

Though I really liked DS2, so we'll see if that 'touch' really does make it noticably, apocolyptically better.
I'm excited.

This seems to imply that it's the final Dark Souls game, and that Miyazaki's back as director.

Those screenshots look like a game pretty arse-deep in development. Spring 2016 sounds about right given DS2 and Bloodborne's fast turnaround times from announcement to release.

Oh Praise the Sun. In John Harker I trust.
Miyazaki!!!

I'm not sure we're gonna want to be praising the sun anymore if all it's gonna do is melt on us.

Edit: Gotta wonder if Souls 2 and 3 started dev around the same time with 3 being on a much slower schedule due to Bloodborne, but still in development? Maybe this was always the plan for 2, but they thought "Hell, let's squeeze another one in there"
