Which map? Also that's amazing! If you don't mind me asking, are you able to consistently get kills using this?
I'm trying really hard to get a handle on this for combat. But so far not having as much luck, except for flanking. I wish we had the ability to save footage like we can on X1 and PS4. Some of the kills being done here sounds so awesome.
Edit: I need to just practice. Sorry for all the questions. I'll just put in the work and try to get better with it. The advice given was very helpful, just need to up my game.
Def switching back to something else for Ranked, but I'll keep practicing with the brush in turf mode.
I'm rockin that football helmet with speed up, a hoodie with ninja and the boots from the squid amiibo for ink saver main (got other shoes with that perk, but it's only 1 star so I need to upgrade that first).
I could actually switch the perks around by using the camo hat and those ugly golden sneaks, but the fashion police would arrest me if I did that.

I love the speed of the ink brush but it takes so many swipes to kill even with 2 primary damage up abilities that I can rarely follow through with a kill when I get the jump on someone. Lot of trades, though. It's cool and different and I'm excited to see people put more time into it, but I'm just not a fan as is.

This game is a lot of fun. I'm not great at it, but i was unsure of the purchase and don't regret it at all. Level 12 or so right now. Username is my NNID if anyone wants to add me for some matches.

As of late been getting 1st in turf wars with my 52. gal deco. If not first, 2nd for sure. Worst is getting freaking 1100 and still losing cause my team can't seem to do anything...
Realized something too, be VERY thorough in inking the ground. It may not seem like much but the amount of ground people tend to miss can easily rack up a few percentages in the end. Especially areas that are frequented very little, it's easy points.

Just tried the brush. Definitely a little... odd. Not a fan. Back to trying to pro status the rapid blaster.

Hit level 15 and finished up the single player, getting all the scrolls. It was a lot of fun overall. The last boss battle was a bit of a pain though. I still need to fire up the Amiibo challenges.
I tried the paint brush and didn't care for it. Got 700ish both rounds of turf wars I tried it. So I wasn't awful. Just found it boring. Hard to go away from the Aerospray RG since I can do well point and kills wise with it. I was first or second in my teams all evening with it.

Splattershot Jr. did that for me. Used Aero 99% of the time until yesterday, when I found myself doing much better with Splattershot Jr. in ranked. Like the .96 Gal, Aero almost comes out in glops (albeit, in rapid speed), compared to a more straight shot like the Splattershot.
I've found it hard to get kills in close combat with any weapon that sprays in glops. But damn if Aero isn't incredible for ink spread.
It's the difference between ink shooting slightly in the air and falling down, and shooting straight outward. It made all the difference to me when it came to combat. I also found Aero required more hits to kill.

I use a lot of splat dashing to move around with it if I can't sneak in, but you definitely need teammates to draw fire sometimes.
I actually don't have stealth on right now though lol

Basically, I realized it's a goddamn amazing ambush tool. Throw it on people from above, they freak out not knowing what just happened and try to escape, then pick them off in their panic.
"Slaughterfest" may have been a bit of an exaggeration, but I'm certainly not doing bad. My last 5 games were 15-15-11-16-7 in terms of kills, all with the Custom Splattershot Jr. And I'm currently on an 12 game win streak, but now that I made it out of B- I'm gonna take a rest and not push my luck any farther.
Of course this may have had something to do with me getting matched on Blackbelly a lot, which is definitely one of my best maps.

I was more indifferent, although the E3 presentation of Splatoon made me fall in love with what I was seeing. What did surprise me, is how much this game is having a major
impact on me. Like I said earlier, I haven't felt this way about a MP game since Modern Warfare. In terms of a MP feeling this substantial and making me feel like this was something special (gameplay wise).
I was hoping Titanfall would shake things up and make me feel the way I did when MW first came out. Never would have guessed Nintendo would be the ones to do it. This game alone justifies owning a Wii U.
Oh don't worry about it, I'm not expecting a slaughterfest. Thanks for this, it's a massive help.
