Because something that came out a few hours ago takes time to get used to?
I'm always first or second when I use it, and my wins have been consistent.
It's not bad, it's just different. It's not gonna be top tier, but it's good.

I picked aeroblaster rg when the paintbrush came out to counter the meta; was not disappointed. Won like 8 games in a row. Brush seems pretty weak in contrast to the aeroblaster RG. The sprinkler seems to be its one saving grace.
In a distance shoot out, the brush gets blown out, especially since it can't 1-shot you like the roller. You literally have to fuck up immensely and end up right next to the brush player to die. Even an ambush is survivable. Worst case you trade. YMMV.

Wait you can cash in that thing??! I've never known this. I could've had so much more money by now, Oh well. Finally hit level 20 earlier today so I've been adding slots to clothes I liked better as well as special abilities. I really like the recon ability.

I went brush for a while. I'm ok with it.
Went back to vanilla charge (or in my case, the hero replica), and in one match I did a double bomb rush with a dude using splatterscope. It's such a good weapon for warehouse.
I'm getting much better at shooting people in midair. Practice makes perfect.

Its your win streak. The more flags you have, the more cash you can get from Judd if you speak to him. However if you start losing, the flags start going away really quick so gotta make sure you check with Judd when you get a good winstreak going.

I also just found out you can squid jump from anywhere. It doesnt have to be from the main base. God I feel stupid lol

Its amazing for the rushes in Splat Zones. You can block off entire path ways with a far toss.
