Is the roller still considered to be op? Because I'm really bad with it.

It's too limited to be OP. It's balanced just right.

Only thing bad about Roller is inexperienced users suiciding with it and taking you down. Which just wastes everyone's time. Trading kills.
 
W+M1 rollers are easy kills baby, it's the jumping shotgunners that you gotta be scared of. And the roller ninjas.

Finding the brush isn't actually a great pathfinder because the path is too narrow to be of much use...
 
Need a "go away" ping

They really need to add Pinging, or the ability to draw arrows on the gamepad. Would be perfect for this game, given the lack of communication. Would sure help out when you have teammates with no map awareness whatsoever.
 
Latency/lag was awful for me today. I was killed by ghosts so many times haha. Still managed to get pretty good scores. Dual Squelchers are awesome.

I need to add more SplatGAFfers, today was a Japan fest for me.
 
Three games in a row in three different lobbies of me being >1000p and my teammates all being <500p. Special shoutout to the Aerospray who got a whopping 97p but was somehow level 20.
 
I wish my teammates understood that when playing Splat Zones in Port Mackerel, you need to have two people guarding your own zone, instead of everyone rushing off and leaving me to defend it alone. :(
 
Played the current ranked lobby. Skatepark...losing bad. Team can't do shit. Keep charging in blind. I finally decide to hit my perch...the rail looking up at the tower on the left. RAIN INK ON THE WORLD AND RECLAIM/HOLD BOTH ZONES.

Squelcher and me just kept the shots firing. Tagged anyone climbing the tower, rollers were easy shooting from there. Since no one could get out of the middle to capture new territory they couldn't build special since they had soundly inked their zone. My inkling troops flopped around shooting all over running in zones distracting the enemy as I took them down with more precise shots. Occasional sub weapons came into play around the corner of the tower to try and protect the far zone.

KO. Long live the guardrail snipe point. It can flip the entire match if used properly with Squelcher.

This. Theres only so much the inkwall shower can do to hold a corner while I try to defend that first zone. If they don't properly do something along the far side I get flanked and can't hold the open area in front of me while trying to hold the far lane. The Inkwall hold them off but I still have to fire up that path to keep their shots out and I have to stop to refuel or I run out of walls. If they use a charger its hell on me trying to hold that corner. Worse if they got seeker sub weapons. Its a full time job holding that corner. If I dont have a partner to guard the middle while someone charges me I get pincered. Plus god help us if they run off, ignore me and ink things to drop a nuke or go around past me to take the ledge ABOVE the zone. You can't defend that and watch your back at the same time. You either hold the lanes with a partner or you crumble. One Inkling cannot hold that area unless maybe they brush from above the zone or use the .52 gal from above.

Skatepark is absolutely brutal on ranked. Once a team has control for more than 40 seconds, there is no hope for a come back.

I'm still out, but that is disppointing to hear that Skatepark is in rotation right now. Fuck that and Mall for ranked.

I kind of wish they had on the d-pad an attack and defend response.

Is there a 3-star headphones in this? Every 3-star hat I've seen is helmet or a jungle/hunter hat. I've not seen any headphones that were 3-star.

Stuff like this is why I started using both the Aerospray RG (mines) and the 52 gal deco (Seeker + Inkstrike + this thing's range and damage output is quite frankly busted) in general in ranked. It's already hard enough making in roads on that map, I don't need to find myself assed out because of a team that can't coordinate. I can just make my own teammates that give the gift of explosions to the other team. :D

I think I'm secretly irritated by the neverending quest for gear combining function and freshness.

If tonight the gear still sucks, I'm giving up and accepting that there won't be anything left that is fresh until a content update.

Or consistently pay attention to the map and hunt down stragglers that get behind you.

At least neither of them are Urchin "GET FUCKED AND STAY FUCKED" Underpass.

Grab a Gal or a Squelcher and laugh at the pathetic range and damage of the aerospray.

Actually, I prefer to be left alone. With the dual squelcher (I think that's it), I can guard it alone easily, unless their entire team rushes me. I use sprinkler (attached to the side of a high crate) and long range shots, while simply swimming across the entrance of the three corridors, watching for enemies. Keep the corridors inked and you will always see them coming early enough to outrange them.

Oh wow, this is the exact sentiment (combined with a pretty piss poor brushmanship showing) that made me take a break earlier. Gonna go get some food and theory it up with Splat-GAF more.

Just got the .52 gal deco and I already know its gonna be a gift to teams I'm on. I am hell on earth on some maps with the regular .52 gal because of the Ink wall holding hills and me then lobbing blasts over it and behind to get the folks camping in hopes of charging once the wall stops showering. Its spread and kill power is just nuts. Its like you combined all the traits of a shotgun and gave it the perk of having a grenade style toss. Fully bet if anything gets nerfed then its ink consumption might lol. (please dont Ninty I loves it).

.52 gal deco sounds much better if for no other reason than seekers give him some range to press inward for once and the nuke is far better for the .52 gal than the wail is because his startup and range is already so poor he can't defend himself alone easily enough to set it up in a throwdown. Nuke is much better for ranked anyhow and it can be setup via seekers buying room.

That's a good point. But it would still be a good function for higher ranked matches where it could be used effectively. Plus it's better than nothing (for players that lack map awareness).

That might be so, but since Skatepark is so condensed to a tiny area (only thing separating the capture points is that tower), once a team has that dominated, it's easy for a team to fall apart. Especially lower ranked players.

I'm in C+ to B - rank, and Skatepark and Mall are both awful in this ranked range. 99% of the time I play Skate Park either Im on the dominating team that locks shit down and dominates, or im on the opposing team that gets rolled hard and can't come close to the areas locked down.

I'll concede that the design of the level itself leaves plenty of room to come back. But my experience has not been that at the rank level im at.

All I want is a commands to say "deploying bubbler, get ready to attack", "deployed bubbler, attack!", "stand ground", and "retreat" for when the bubbler runs out.
