1. Nintendo
2. Microsoft
3. EA
4. Ubisoft
5. Sony
6. PC Gaming
7. Square-Enix
8. Bethesda

The last three on my list are just ''meh'' IMO..

1. Sony (I really want to see Horizon, a new project by Quantic Dream, UC4 and a game from Japan Studio)
2. Square (I hope they announce loads of JRPG along with a gameplay trailer of Deus Ex)
3. Ubisoft ( Excited to see what they have in store, they're conference are usually one of the best)
4. EA (I can't wait to see the new Mirror's Edge, the new Mass Effect, a gameplay trailer of Battlefront and maybe a new RPG from Bioware)
5. Bethesda (Dishonored 2 along with Doom and Fallout 4 is all I need for this to be good)
6. Nintendo (I don't expect anything groundbreaking from them, maybe a couple of surprises)
7. PC (I also don't expect anything from this)
8. Microsoft ( I don't care for MS)

I'm not saying it will be there but this is the last opportunity Sony has to reveal TLG before SWWS kick into 5th gear for the subsequent years. They already tempered our expectations by announcing a focus on 3rd party now it's time for the surprise. TLG will never hit harder than it would this E3.

Every year...

Square pretty much have to have a good E3 by default after years of cock-teasing and dissapointment.

Well, FFXV isn't gonna be there, so...

YOU ARE ALREADY DISAPPOINTED

My Ranking:
1. EA (Battlefront *.*)
2. Microsoft (Halo 5, Rare Project and Tomb Raider)
3. Bethesda (Doom *.*)
4. Square Enix (I only want to see that Kingdom Hearts Collection :D )
5. Ubisoft (not really that much interested in Ubi games anymore until they throw out that outdated gameplay bible)
6. Sony (Sony disappointed me a lot the last couple of years, so i dont expect much besides a lot 3rd party riding)

Alongside the final Arkham Knight trailer I'm hoping for a Arkham bundle of AA+AC announcement, with at the very least high end PC settings.

If it exists though, strange to not get it out before AK drops. Still, will day 1 it if it's real.

  1. Microsoft - Xbox's conference always seem to win me over and end up not boring me to sleep. This year I'm hyped for Rise of the Tomb Raider, Halo 5, Quantum Break, Gears of War, Crackdown, Forza, Scalebound and more.
  2. EA - This could be good this year with Mirrors Edge Gameplay w/ Release date which I'm super pumped for, Battlefront, Mass Effect 4, Visceral's Star Wars (please) and Need for Speed. The sports part I don't care about.
  3. Sony - Uncharted 4 Gameplay w/ Trailer and Release Date, Uncharted Collection footage and I'm not really sure I'm hyped for watching tons of 3rd party games at Sony Conference.
  4. Square Enix - Rise of the Tomb Raider Trailer, Deus Ex, Just Cause 3, Hitman
  5. Bethesda - Fallout 4, Dishonored Remastered + 2, DOOM
  6. Ubisoft - ACS, The Division, Splinter Cell,

PC Gamer and Nintendo are non existent on my list because I have no interest what so ever.

I'm in for some Fallout 4 gameplay. Some more info on Kingdom Hearts 3 would be nice. I really want to see some more Uncharted 4 footage because that game is insanely gorgeous. A little Beyond Good and Evil and/or Mirrors Edge 2 wouldn't hurt hurt my feelings.

Honestly, I'd genuinely like to be surprised. I hope there are a couple of reveals that we don't even have any inclination of. Think Watch Dogs reveal (bad example because the game was a letdown but my point stands)

But in all seriousness. If we don't get a re-reveal of TLG this year, or at least some teaser or mention of it, i'm putting that one to rest for good.

Half life 3... If Half Life 3 shows, i'll probably have a coronary event.

1. Nintendo - I'm expecting big surprises
2. Square Enix - Could have a killer surprise
3. Ubisoft - Good fun. Whether that is good or bad
4. Sony - has potential, but will they interest me?
5. Microsoft - ship has sailed
6. Bethesda - Meh
7. EA - Ugh (but Mirror's Edge doe)
8. PC - lol

Bah, it's late, sorry. I meant the constant reminder that it's still a thing rather than mentioning a specific trade show appearance.

Imo there are more reasons to think it'll be there in some form (even if only a teaser) than not. Wasn't there an indication that it was pulled at the last minute last E3? (or was it TGS?).

After Ueda's departure, the switch to PS4 and the focus on titles like Knack for Launch and Bloodborne (with From) or Tomorrow Children (with Q games) afterwards, not sure why the title would be pushed yet another year (unless some still subscribe to the theory that Sony is lying for the sake of it when saying the title is still in development, which is beyond asinine).

I think that it will likely appear at E3 whenever it's shown again. I'm just saying that I don't really think that it's a good idea to expect it to appear at any specific E3. Sony's obviously not going to hint at when it's going to show up, which means that you're going to have to go on a hope, theory or insider rumor. All of which are things that people have done in the past.

But we'll find out in two weeks. If it does show up then I expect it to be the show closer. Especially since I think that they're going to announce an exact release date whenever it's shown again. So it's going to receive a big enough response to justify being a show closer.

I'm actually surprised by all the Sony and Square Enix taking the top spots.

If I had to guess, it's because the Sony and SE conferences have strong potential for surprises(well, mostly Sony). Microsoft seemed to play most of their cards last year(and that got kinda deflated around here with the early leak), but as far as actually announced games go, they have a VERY strong lineup, just maybe not any real potential for good surprises(outside of BK or Battletoads I guess). Nintendo just doesn't have the speed or number of development studios to give us much in the way of surprises(outside of Retro) this year, methinks.

As for SE, I imagine the hype is for KH3 and probably continued hope for a FF7 remake. Honestly, I'm most excited for Deus Ex from them.

SQ conference will be western focused. They have a lot going on with Tomb Raider, Just Cause, Hitman, Deux EX. Japanese side will probably show FF XIV expansion, DQ Heroes, maybe SO 5 and there are rumors about FF XII remasters.

My anticipation ranking.

1. Sony - They usually show off the most games and have the most surprises. In fact usually they reveal a few games before the conference because they have so many. With the amount of Japanese games they seem to be securing they could have an incredible conference.
2. Square Enix - They get a lot of stick and rightfully so but they're gonna have a great line up this gen. FFXV, KH3, Dragon Quest Heroes 1+2, Star Ocean 5, Final Fantasy Dissidia, Tomb Raider, Deus Ex, Just Cause 3, Sleeping Dogs 2?, Hitman?, Thief?. Obviously it won't all be there but they could potentially have a great conference.
3. Bethesda - Fallout 4 alone could steal the show, but they potentially could have more.
4. EA They've been quite quiet this gen, they release a lot less games than last. But they have a lot of IPs and potentially some exciting announcements.
5. Ubisoft - Always put on some awful conferences and their games never look as good as first shown but they have some big games in development. Watch Dogs 2, The Division, Rainbow Six Siege, New IP perhaps? Might be worth a watch.
6. MS - Most of their first party IPs don't do anything for me, and I don't really plan on ever buying an Xbox One but you never know with them, they might pay for a big exclusive or the next Gears might be incredible. I'll keep up to date with what they announce but not too interested right now.
7. Nintendo - They haven't really done much that interests me this gen, or last gen for that matter. A new Metroid would get me excited actually, I love Zelda but that won't be there and every Zelda since Ocarina of Time has disappointed me in some way. Xenoblade X looks good and I love RPGs but that's all I can think of. I probably won't bother watching them this year, I'll just check GAF.
8. PC - This is a strange one, could be surprisingly good, could be terrible but not really interested. I'll just browse GAF afterwards.

To be honest I might just end up watching Sony's then just browse GAF for the rest. Working all next week and don't really have time. I do think it'll be a good E3 though, gonna be loads of games.

Says who? A lot of people probably are not just expecting western stuff. We already get to see TR at Microsoft.

Japanese side will show something Kingdom Hearts. Thats my guess.

iirc, they were talking about that Diseny helds every fall, DK23something.
Still hoping though.

Doesnt sound like that to me ;) And if this Ultimate Collection is real, i expect it to see this E3.

My anticipation ranking.

This year seems more like a second big 3rd Party show. Most surprises? Wasnt like that the last couple of years to me.

It's just what I expect it to be with how there handling the marketing for there western IP's. We basically haven't seen anything from those 4 games. FF XV is already skipping E3 and KH 3 won't come out any time soon while those games are sheduled for late 2015 and 2016.

E3 Conference Listed by Hype Level

1. Sony
2. Square-Enix
3. Nintendo
4. Microsoft
5. Ubisoft
6. Bethesda
7. PC Gaming
8. EA

Square-Enix and Nintendo is really a draw for me. SE has potential to be a better conference for me based on the titles they have in development, but then again - It's SE, so they'll fuck it up somehow.

Hopefully. I need more ship combat. Imagine fully detailed interiors. Cannon shots cutting through the ship.
Could be awesome if you'd start of as a sailor. Manually aiming a cannon and firing when the command is given by your captain whilst cannonballs soar past you and impact in the ship. Planning mutinies with your crew to become first mate or captain yourself. So much potential:)

Might be slightly offtopic, but what are the chances we'll see a "traditional" AAA game from Sony London? I'd love to see The Getaway make a return (especially as a darker GTA V in an European setting) or a new IP? Any rumors of such? Or have they been relegated to a Move/Morpheus-studio or whatever gimmick which is currently "in" (yeah, I'm salty) permanently?

Tomb Raider has also been confirmed to be @ Square :p

Predictions :

MS = Gameplay w/ Release Date
Xbox Daily = Gameplay
Square Enix = Trailer

If you don't think consider $399, no DRM, KH3, FFXV, GTAV PS4 or Bloodborne to be big then you've clearly got some messed up expectations.

Apart from Bloodborne, no those aren't big reveals. I mean, you included a port of a last gen game, a price and no-change in policy announcement.

KH3 and FFXV are SE, multiplatform games that might or might not be released.

Not a whole lot of Sony exclusives.

This year seems more like a second big 3rd Party show. Most surprises? Wasnt like that the last couple of years to me.

Last year was a fairly standard affair, although a solid showing, but 2013, FFXV and Kingdom Hearts 3 were the biggest surprises and Bloodborne would have been the biggest in 2014 had it not leaked beforehand.

The Gears Of War remake will be this year, 4 won't be.

Still a mistake IMO to release this remaster this year. I dont even see the demand for it.

Make it a spring or summer game. And Fall 16 for the real Sequel. Unless microsoft has another Halo spinoff for 2016 (which sounds like they have)

I don't think it's a mistake. Microsoft will have their big 3 of Halo, Gears Of War and Forza all releasing in the holiday, as well as timed exclusivity on Rise Of The Tomb Raider. That could translate into huge sales for the system.

Having the remake release in the summer wouldn't have the same affect, it's like a 1, 2, 3 punch from Microsoft this holiday.

A Remaster between so many new AAA titles and Sequels doesnt bode well to me.

And 2016 would make more sense for the Gears remaster. It would be the 10 year anniversary.

The series has sold over 20 million copies, so I think it will. It's one of the series that made the Xbox 360.

Again, a Remaster. The real Sequel is another Story. But if you are expecting that a remaster is going to sell like hot cakes this year you are in for a disappointment IMO
