3DS Streetpass Experiences

Oh shit. One was Anguilla. So rare that Nintendo did not map it.

This is crazy. Streetpass is actually driving me out of my apartment to visit more places in my city.
 
We've concluded previously here that Anguilla is probably the first country on the country select list, so that's what a lot of people choose when they don't want to choose their actual region, which explains why a lot of people get hits from it.

This I didn't know. I often got them when I was in an airport, so maybe a couple of mine were legit?

I have a number of countries that don't have a map. I was surprised when I saw that countries Spain had a map (and the HUGE numbers of territories in it!) Netherlands had one too I think, but Mexico and such does not. *shrug*

FWIW Anguilla is probably someone to lazy to pick a country, as Anguilla comes first in that selection screen.

Edit: I need to finish reading he thread before posting. Can I blame using my phone for this transgression?
 
Fuck this RNG bullshit in the fishing game.

You know what I mean - you have this perfect bait for the big guy and you even see the shadow, but suddenly this shitty small fish takes it instead!
 
I feel like I'll never beat Mii Force arcade mode :( I had the BEST team line up, but since I kept screwing up, I barely had any practice in 4-2 and messed up bad on the boss :( So close... Furthest I got was 4-3 on the boss and that's where things went bad. Maybe one day, but I'll need at LEAST 8-9 pods for world 5...

Arcade mode is old school hard, but it is doable. I'll never do the one ship attempt, but the one set of 10, isnt so bad if you get a decent mix of light green and blue.

Yeah I had a white, light green, and some blues. It's really practice, practice, practice. Just sucks that I can ace the beginning so you can't really skip them and they are a time sink. I guess I could just redo the last 2 worlds for more practice, so I can be ready the next time I get a really good team.

Also, It's such a huge pain to capture all those
Rare Streetpass fish. They take like 3 full tries to pull them in. I don't think the game remember staminia for them either....

Nah, I mean that I'm passing them at the StreetPass plaza gate, but I am only having a fraction of them being saved in my plaza. I was trying to find a Mii that I had passed the previous day, but it was gone.

Ahh, yeah I had a similar problem, I went back in time to find Special Mii's to save to the VIP plaza and I have Mii's from years ago, but not certain Special Mii's from months ago.

Miis shouldn't disappear prior to the normal retention limit, which is in the thousands. Barring some technical problem I've not encountered, the only circumstance I can recall a Mii disappearing earlier than that is if the owner changed the Mii they present in Mii Plaza.
 
So I finally got around to setting up Homepass. Running the BASE16 rotation script, I mainly get US and Europe folks...does the script also rotate into asian locations?
 
So I ended up getting the premium street pass... I should've earlier to collect all those birthdays, but better late than never!

Also hmmm I thought there was also a feature with it with collecting people's goals or something? Or was that a game where it gives you extra abilities or something? I have all the games and haven't noticed anything. *shrug*

EDIT: I also VIP'd all the special Miis that I passed in the last year. Too bad it can't go further :/ Got both Reggies (Regginator and Filsamech) along with Wayne Brady, at least :p Couple other doubles, too. Too bad, the year before had like a different director every day for E3.

EDIT 2: I noticed that when you go over a year ago with passes, that they don't show games they played and are unable to add them to VIP. That I'm aware of, but why are they listed as "2 days ago, 10, 20 etc days ago"? I thought it went in chronological order.

Old miis also look super generic. I have the feeling only the lowest level of information (name, birthday, day of pass) are saved in the long run.

Yeah it's basic, but nay idea why some are listed as only a few days ago, when I just went pass detailed Miis that were over a year old? I have an online friend too on that list up above, but I have never actually street passed them, only interacted online and it said they were invited "by invitation".

If plaza population exceeds 1000 the oldest Miis get demoted to met by invitation and they are listed like you say (they are essentially deleted from the plaza and re-added as met by invitation). That is in combination with games inviting them (if that option is on).

The exception is special Miis, they get completely deleted instead.

So is there any other impacts if one changes their country to force Golden Tickets in Ultimate Angler? Loss to the eshop, or anything like that?
 
I was out of town and I streetpassed someone that spotted the
Cheep Cheep
. I only had 2 baits for it and one of them ended up a driftwood, so I didn't get it.....I'm sad. :/

Does anyone know how I could get it again without streetpassing that same Mii again?

I just gave it a shot for that fish and had five pieces of bait that he liked when I previously spotted him and caught lots of junk.

Anecdotally, looks like you have to be fishing based on a sighting.
 
Has anyone figured out what triggers a sighting, besides Special Miis? My second 3DS with hundreds of tags is always with me and it has never given me a sighting.

Zombies Defeated has no completion star. Anybody know if there is one?
I think I'll get it up to 9999 kills just to see what happens.
I'm guessing the showdowns are best for grinding...?

I was also thinking of trying for all weapon colours, but after seeing what the medals ‘prize' was... maybe not.

Yeah, right now I'm hoping for sightings from non-owner of the game as I read that every 10th streetpass with a particular Mii will give you a random sighting.

As I mentioned earlier, this is either not actually the only factor that triggers it, or there is some limit to it. As I mentioned before, I have hundreds of passes from my second 3DS, and am certain I've played it with hits being a multiple of ten.

Hmmm... I have a second 3DS. I never really notice how many hits it takes to get a baitless fish. Gunna have to keep a tally now.

Finally manage to complete that Rod... only took like forever.

On to A+ fish grinding...

I got lucky and got a couple of crystal rods at the beginning of the game that had 8+ Anglers Big-Catch Boost on them. Combining them together I had a Lv.2 skill. Caught me quite a few A+ fish since the start. Ended up adding the skills to my
UFO Rod and maxing it out.
Eventually, found another +8 Angler skill while grinding for cash at the first fishing spot on the Premium (50 Playcoin) Island. I seem to pull up at least 3-4 A+ fish every 10 miis I take out. The issue is just getting the right colored bait for the fish you need for each spot... Takes forever to clear a spot.

I also found a couple other Big Catch Skills, like Riverside, Deep Ocean, and +6 Anglers but only one of each. Haven't been able to level them up to Lv.3 yet. But then the whole process of putting them on another
UFO Rod and maxing its stats
isn't something I want to do again.

I don't know if the skills you pull up on rods are random or if they are located at specific spots or certain rods. I know I grinding out one +8 and one +6 Anglers from the first fishing spot on the premium Island though.
 
With the custom speech bubble things, is the free one the same one everyone or is it a random choice? Of the 10 streetpasses I had yesterday 7 were women and all but one had different speech bubble designs. I just wouldn't expect it to be so common for people to have spent money on that stuff.

Everyone should have gotten the same free ones.
 
If you quit an island you're doing in that fishing streetpass plaza game, do you lose all your bait? are you forced to use it all on one trip?
 
My New 3DS (regular) broke a couple weeks ago, and I've only now gotten a new New 3DS replacement (see why this was a bad name, Nintendo?).
Lost 2000~ Streetpasses and a lot of progress in the games, it's kinda surreal starting from 0 again.
